Can anyone help me out with more ambient? I'm dangerously pleb atm
Blockhead. Start with Music by Cavelight.
You should listen to 2814's new album Rain Temple, it's just as good as the original IMO
Big L - Lifestylez Ov Tha Poor and Dangerous

>Big L - Lifestylez Ov Tha Poor and Dangerous
fucking thanks man, this is sick

what kindof ambient? have a ton on ambient black metal stuff.

i'm not really a huge fan of black metal 2bh cause i can't into harshness (esp. vocals). if you've got any stuff similar to Eno, Budd or SOTL i'd really appreciate it though
glad you like Big L, he's one of the greatest to ever do it IMO

sorry bro cant really help out there.

Trespasser Williams- Different Stars
Coin Locker Kid - Traumnovelle
Pierre Fournier - Sechs Suiten für Violoncello Solo BWV 1007-1012
Nico - Desertshore

That's usually how I feel unless someone is looking for entry level stuff into some niches. Listened to Jordaan Mason ?

You look like someone that would like MF Doom. No love for Madvillainy, Mm Food, King Geedorah?

>robbie basho and mac demarco on the same chart

the true sign of good taste is the end of trying hard

Cheers, will check them out. I'm aware of Melvins and Elder but will give those records a try.

I was just meaning to listen to him again actually, listened to a bit of Divorce Lawyers a while ago but never really got into him.

SAW II

Defiantly listen to Celer.

Start with Celer - Engaged Touches.

The artist hosts the album on Bandcamp (you can name your price).

I recommend the expanded version rather than the original CD version - it's much easier to dig through the music.

I think this was the last album that his wife/musical partner worked on before she died (Who is also Chubby Wolf - check her work out too)

seconding that Chubby Wolf recommendation, along with Celer for that matter. I adore Ornitheology.

Hey, guys. I'll hand out recs in a second here.

Thank friend. I can't Believe I didn't know about cLOUDDEAD.
Busdriver is dope too.
I'll have to give Donald Fagen some time. He's a little to 80's for me. I dig the synths though.

>did u see the vocal jazz rec
ya

I'm new to mu and these are just about the only albums i listen front to back anymore.

any recs would be greatly appreciated.

Check out Bill Evans my man.

sun ra - space is the place

Fripp's gigantic forehead is a nice touch

Hiroshi Suzuki – Cat
Roger Glenn – Reachin'
Hampton Hawes – Universe
Norman Connors – Dance Of Magic
Bobbi Humphrey – Blacks And Blues
Johnny Hammond – Gears
Magnum – Fully Loaded
Lee Konitz – Motion

You're welcome. Cool.

Yeah, I know Fagen would be a stretch; I listen to just the I.G.Y. single more than the whole album to be honest. Maybe check out Steely Dan, if you want something less slick, but still smooth and stylish.

Good. Hope you like them.

Steely Dan is pretty cool, although I only know their popular stuff. I'd rather listen to Boz Scaggs to be honest, haha.
Thanks again, I really dig Busdriver. He's cool.

sorry for lazyposting :(

Goldie – Timeless
Hampton Hawes – Universe
Julia Holter – Loud City Song
Unwound – Fake Train

Ah, fair enough.
Cool. You're welcome!

Nice selection user. I have a general question though; Why does everybody like that Television album so much? I listened to Marquee Moon twice and thought it was just okay.

you have really similar taste to me, I feel like you are younger and exploring hence so many repeated bands. Check out these if you haven't:

Alcest - Kodama
letlive. - Fake History
Oathbreaker - Rheia
Enter Shikari- A Flash Flood Of Colour
Wovenhand - Mosaic

Loved the new Alcest, Oathbreaker was OK (great in parts, didn't care much for the quieter sections and felt the songs were a bit formulaic). I love Shikari but AFFOC is easily my least favourite of theirs. I know a bit of letlive. but haven't properly checked out them or Wovenhand, cheers.

i will let it slide this time... i guess.....
Ty Segall - Goodbye Bread

Yung Wu - Shore Leave

Harumi Hosono - Hosono House

+Karou Abe

You seemed to have scoured the British art/prog canon quite extensively. I don't see much krautrock on there tho, so maybe give that a crack. that's the direction i went at least

Caroline K – Now Wait For Last Year

I really don't know what to rec to anyone right now.

Alright, thought it was similar to Moomin.

I haven't heard your second rec, thanks

Yeah, it's a fair recommendation. Good, was worried you had heard them all. Make sure to check out the Black Twilight Circle catalog, it's basically like a modern day Les Légions Noires from America.

Just made some adjustments
