does your £400 budget include buying windows?

Literally more than half your budget is a GPU.

You're gonna need to buy the rest second hand. You can pick up i3s and 1155 boards pretty cheap right now.

Good choice of gpu

asks /b for help then leaves. nice.

bit.
ly/25xOEE4

wtf
Either pirate it or get Linux, who the fuck pays for their OS?

>Update
guys OP here its £140

normal people who are not poorfags?

nope i have the OS a keyboard mouse and monitor

save that 400 and wait till you get about 1.7K

lol wat

There's no reason to download pirated microsoft anything anymore. Just get a legit KMSpico and all m$ problems are solved instantly.

First tip of building a rig,
You always pick CPU first, then motherboard. Picking a gpu first is retarded. especially if the gpu costs 50% of your entire budget lol. get a good cpu or atleast one with a good socket (for improvements later down the road)

why the fuck does he have to spend 1.7 on a pc? one of the things going for pc gaming is you can build a pc more powerful then a ps4 for the same money...

If you're not a poorfag get a better PC. If you buy windows you may as well donate that money to hungarian border patrol

the 480?!

Fuck that's cheaper than I thought. Holy fuck that's sweet.

AMD sucks, I bought a r9 290 and returned it the next day. The drivers constantly crash with certain games.

guys any real advice would be really good, i have the OS keyboard and mouse ready. i just need the rest for under $550

this

i dont think i need a better pc

have you seen the rx 480?

You don't need a windows license either. A better PC is at least of some minimal use

this pc is just to last me until november then im uprading. I just want to play arma 3 and day z come on Sup Forumsros

what does that have to do with shity driver support? retard lol

okay what would you recommend?

u do know the £ is shit now, rx480 going cost you £250

>wants to play Arma 3
That's probably the worst fucking optimized game on steam so good luck

Do not buy AMD

£400 is not worth it dude, you want to have at least £550-£600 if you want something that will run all the new gen games (and current ones i might add) for the next few years. With £400, you're going to end up with something that can't even play todays best games, never mind later on in the future.

TL;dr - save up another £200, then go nuts.

>thinks the pound isnt gonna rise again in a few weeks

nigga are you retarded ?

wait for reviews on the rx480, going be best bang for buck, better then gtx980/r9390

okat for the gpu im going to get a r9 280x and for cpu ill get fx 6300.

Yeah, spend several hundred more for an equivalent card that they'll cripple in next year's drivers.

This
I was thinking about 580 minimum
Check out aria website

yeah this is what i was thinking

Yep you can download windows 10 ISO straight from Microsoft and use Microsoft Toolkit to activate it forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/28669-Microsoft-Toolkit-Official-KMS-Solution-for-Microsoft-Products

Also where can I get a Windows 7 from Microsoft?

Yes. You are more likely to upgrade the GPU in the future. A good CPU will be future proof enough to get you through at least 2 GPU generations

All the Microsoft op iso's are in one place now on the Microsoft site

look i dont want to get into details but i have £400 and not long left i need to build it for summer, till get these upgrades in the next few months but for now whats the best Sup Forums can do?

like i said no keyboard, mouse or os needed.

Op don't get that bullshit. Go second hand with this budget. Instead of getting new hardware at the absurdly expensive retail price, go for eBay or look for pc refurbish shops around your area. Also instead of buying a top of the line old part buy a more recent one even tough it looks like on specs that it's shittier.

I am interested in the thread.

Do you have a screen? Also do you want me to make a list with what I can find on eBay? I suggest you go second hand with this budget.

How.

yeah man sounds good and yes i have the monitor

the cheapest way for that budget is
>get black spray paint
>get naked and apply it to yourself
>take what is yours while people aren't looking
>run like hell

I think you're confusing pounds with dollars. OP is buying in pounds, so 140 pounds is $200.

If his budget were in dollars it WOULD be half his budget, but 400 pounds is actually $550.

kek

yeah i thought that the pound sign would be obvious enough

don't go ssd. It's a waste of money on unnecessary performance. Get a cheap as fuck hdd and back it up so failure won't fuck you, but save money as well. You don't need much more than 8 gigs of ram no matter what anybody says. Go with an AMD quad core processor. Cheapest bang for your buck, especially with overclocking, because they manage to stay relatively cool. Dunno if 400 is enough though. Just buy it cheap as fuck nigra. Skimp on the case, they are flamboyant wastes of money.

Alright keep this bumped til I find some parts. I'll look for a config I did for a friend 4 years ago. He bought the parts from retail and him around 700 £

thanks man good advice. 550 dollars since most of you guys are from america

thanks man

if this thread 404's just send me the parts on kik please id is ShowMeYourDubs

>"A company is shit because 1 item failed and it possibly can't be human failure"

You are the problem that ruins the PC industry.

Download and pirate windows 8,update free to Windows 10??? PROFIT! Windows 10 free

>Being this new to pirated windows 10

i feel you, from what i see amd is actually really good but faggots are going to fag and want intel because it costs more.

kmspico, not even. you can actually just google ms10pro key and put in the first result and it will validate and update.

i have a windows 8 cd

for that low of a price you wont get much but this be something to look at
AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core.
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+.
G.Skill Value 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory.
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM.
Silverstone TJ08B-E MicroATX Mini Tower (Not sure if card can fit might have to dyi cut it).
EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX (Might not be enough power?)
Anons might say this isn't good enough but with that huge gpu price I really cant do much...
Source: Anonymous User (Myself) that works for a pretty big tech channel.
I also didn't include prices of cables etc as you kind of describe yourself wanted to build it yourself I assume you have parts or have knowledge.

The fact is, there is no "better" company. The only thing you can say is that one might be more suitable to the situation.

>Because where fanboys clash, companies cash.

Alright I found this by now. Ill look for a motherboard, ram, psu, and other stuff

okay thank you Sup Forumsro ill check this out now
is that for pounds or dollars.

its coverted roughly i think im 100 off? something around their

Then use it faggot, while the update it's free.

Don't spend money, you'll need it when your country goes into regression

its $550

kek

I understand your currency will drop soon but in my opinion that's the cheapest I can do with warranty. The other user is helping you out with ebay listings, with my list and some ebay listings for the most expensive stuff you will probably get you under 400, you wouldn't happen to know any friends (big stretch for an user) that could lend you a hard drive? would help your budget alot

I own 2 windows XP OEM copies, 2 windows 7 OEM copies, 1 windows 8.1 OEM copy.

How does this make you feel? Thats almost $600 in windows licenses..

I'm not the guy you responded too, but you can sell them for some easy money

Mate with that money you can build 2 killer pcs

lmao yeah i dont think anyone has an ssd lying around

or a hard drive

Why would I? I'm currently using them, except for the XP keys that is.

nice b8

402 pounds total.
here is the post with gpu and cpuPlease dont get that shittty amd station when you can have this bomb ass almost second hand pc

I build PCs for my mates. Have built 15 so far and I know my shit. Even custom waterlooping and whatnot.

Do not build your own for 400£. It's not enough and you'll get a better deal if you buy something preassembled from a cheap store.

I only recommend building your own when budget is above 500£. Even then you sometimes find better preassembled deals. 600£ and it starts making a lot of sense to build your own.

Unless of course you don't need a GPU right away, then 400£ can be great for building a system suitable for a GPU later on.

Made this build for a mate yesterday.
pcpartpicker.com/list/fcbKZ8

geforce gtx 950

how do you do anything with no gpu?

also nix the optical drive, this is 2016.

buy 3/8 in. x 100 ft. Twisted Sisal Rope
and hang yourself.

also add an ssd

The Athlon series has on-board graphics, unlike the FX series.
It's a budget build, you can add what you like at a later time.

> £400
> building pc
kill yourself you underage piece of shit

You dont really need a cooler right now since you cant overclock that cpu but when you save another 25 pounds here is a good classic:
ebay.co.uk/itm/Cooler-Master-Hyper-TX3-EVO-CPU-Cooler-Intel-Socket-LGA1366-1156-1155-1150-755-/111415949449?hash=item19f0e87889:g:EKwAAOSwd4tTz2JD

thank you so much user

Oh fuck i realised the cpu i selected for you doesnt come with a cooler
here is a quick cheap alternative for that cooler master:

also whats with you kids and your optical drives? who the fuck even uses optical drives anymore? lol.

what a waste of $50

Nope, just wanted a basic computer than ran better than his intel core 2 duo. Doesn't even have a dedicated GPU.

URGENT DONT BUY THE 5900rpm hardrive
But this
