Haha, not really at all actually. It was the first I saw in my album covers folder. If I had to choose a favorite cover from this year it'd be from the new Saor album. It's a pretty epic cover, unfortunately I didn't enjoy it too much, especially compared to Aura.

in that case replace it w/ oren ambarchi - hubris

>endless
come on nigga. over blackstar?

reminder that if you have David Bowie, Radiohead, A Tribe Called Quest, Avalanches, or Swans anywhere near your Top 50 (let alone 20 or 10 or god help you 5) you don't actually like listening to new music and don't care about the longevity of popular music as an artform but just love any opportunity to wax nostalgic about a worse period for music

thx for reminder

I mean there's no rule that says I can't like them all is there

Ok, but what if I like them? Is that a crime to listen to music I enjoy?

>reminder that if you have David Bowie, Radiohead, A Tribe Called Quest, Avalanches, or Swans anywhere near your Top 50 (let alone 20 or 10 or god help you 5) you don't actually like listening to new music and don't care about the longevity of popular music as an artform
Pop music as an art form... This must be a bait.

Yh, Steven Wilson ist really bad.

...

4.5 is much more subdued than his other stuff that I've heard and so I think works much better

4.5 > HCE

I haven't listened to 4 1/2 yet, but I've seen him live back in May on his H.C.E tour. He told the audience about 4 1/2 and said that it's ''deleted scenes'' from H.C.E. He also said that those songs didn't really fit the theme of his previous album. I'd have to give it a listen soon. How different is 4 1/2 to Hand. Cannot. Erase?

I think its much less proggy if even prog at all

ancestral is the only song I really like on hce but I like it a lot. To me 4.5 is far more solid. It sone of the very few instances if not the only instance where I think the b-side/outtake album was better than the album.

>nb4 untitled unmastered
dont even think about it

Where do you even get new music from ? Besides pitchfork obv

...

I find the pathos in his other works ridiculous. Musically he used the same melodic vibe (and riffs) for the last 2000 records.
Maybe I'll give 4.5 a go and maybe I'll be surprised.

>I find the pathos in his other works ridiculous. Musically he used the same melodic vibe (and riffs) for the last 2000 records.
I guess that's why he said that the album is ''deleted scenes'' from Hand. Cannot. Erase then and perhaps from a few other albums as well.

rateyourmusic

I dunno, people on Sup Forums seem to have cooled off a bit about him. He's fine, honestly.

>an album of David Bowie covers

Yucky.

reminder that if you post about people's musical taste insulting the fact that they like somewhat popular music you're a pretentious buttmunch.
