You've been diagnosed with an incurable, lethal disease. The next time you fall asleep, all of your internal organs will fail, one by one, and you will die peacefully in your sleep.
Imagine that all of your things are dealt with, and you're prepared to die. As you lay in your bed and feel yourself growing tired, you decide to pull up the music player of your choice and listen to one last song before drifting away for the last time.
When I was a lot younger and going through some pretty shitty emotional ups and downs, my dad would play this, and he was really the only person who understood. He passed away November of 2011, right before Thanksgiving. His parents outlived him.

I knew someone was gonna question it. Its not really the song itself, but the memories that song stirs. Me and my friends used to walk around and get high and go on adventures or commit petty crimes. And that song always found it self getting played.

Isaac Adams
I like that. I know when I go, it's not gonna pretty or peaceful. I'll be sadly, desperately clawing for that last scrap of life till the bitter end. I want a song that reflects that.
