>The use of a new I.D. scanning system on entry to the club
>Enhanced searching procedures and controls
>Covert surveillance within the club
>Life-time bans for anyone found in possession of drugs, whether on entry or within the club
>Life-time bans for anyone trying to buy drugs in the club
>Enhanced monitoring and external auditing for compliance against procedures
>Physical changes to the club, including improved lighting and additional CCTV provision
>A new Security Company
>Persons under 19 years of age shall not be permitted to be on the premises as a customer or guest from 2000 hours on a Friday until 0800 hours on the following Monday or on any day during the hours that the operators promote a Core Club Night.

Improved lighting sounds fucked, and I've no idea how they could possibly "enhance" the search without sticking a fist up your arse.

Really happy about this. People need to realize that drugs are just part of the scene. The people taking them know the risks of doing so. If they don't then they're fucking idiots and deserve all bad things coming their way.

Am i sad if i was glad it closed down?

>implying they'll actually enforce any of that after a few months

It'll be just like the sniffer dogs, stopped seing them at all after a while

one of the rare good news of the month tbqh (but it seems they have sold their soul)

UK gov don't even consider that adults are mature enough to watch porn…

can 2016 get any more based?

does every fucking thread have to have trump involved now

Zero tolerance is a retarded approach, better education and harm reduction would be a lot more practical. I'll bet this fails and they get shut down again.

To be honest so long as I get another year of it open until I'm out of university I don't care, then I'll be moving back to Bristol where the council actually takes this stance

haha yeah bro so based cucks btfo bak 2 their safe spaces lmao snowflakes #MAGA

Why were they being shut down? Just a demand from the local authorities due to too many drug overdoses, or what?

Because the council wanted to sell the building to property developers ultimately. The drugs were just an excuse. It's why towns like Bristol and Manchester which don't have such a ridiculous housing market also have a far more stable clubbing scene.

how can you support nightclub degeneracy if you're alt right?

because
SURPRISE
alt right doesn't exist

you seem stupid

So the buildings are owned by the local authorities?

Also, wouldn't cracking down so hard on drug-use deter a large part of the crowd from coming there? Or is the club just that amazing?

Still doesn't proof for necking your pills round the corner tho

They don't own the building, but they want more houses built because of the crises and less rowdy teenagers making noise off their nut after a drum and bass night around the millionaires who can afford to live in Farringdon. If they lost their license they definitely would have had to sell, and a property developer would have bought.

>falling for b8

this: it's just a buzzword for supremacism.

but why?

london sounds like a terrible place

nah m8, just a shade of grey that the media has convinced you doesn't exist in its black and white world.

Unless you're very well off it basically is

I'd even let them search my cavities if I could go to a Critical label night/ album launch gig

Terrible taste.

You know why they almost got shut down right? It's best for them to do this as a legal and PR move. Also history teaches us that no one will remember the controversy in a year or two and it'll get lax

when i went they genuinely were feeling round the asshole for anything - they can't get much more secure
probably the most culturally rich city in the world - completely and utterly modern in art and design, no romanticism of old architecture over new - good music scene, incredible 2000 year old history
youre wrong

>tfw born and bred londoner
>never been to fabric

Is it really as good as everyone tells me? Everyone I know who's gone said it's probably the best club they've ever been to and its amazing, although MDMA will do that to you

Obviously you have to like the lineup, you can't just go and expect to have fun if you don't do your research. But if you do it's the best possible environment to see them in. It's pretty hard to put into words, but having been to a lot of clubs in the UK I've never been anywhere that is better, that's all I can say.

Having said that if the night is very popular they do tend to pack the club way too tight, so I generally try and avoid stuff where the online allocation of tickets sold out very quickly.

london is a shithole don't kid yourself
burial says so himself youtu.be/72Rxxx5pCkA

not worth it. they only play electronic muzak and the dj wouldn't take or play any of my requests.

>dj taking requests
unless youre in a disco at your school when does this ever happen
djs play what they want, thats why people go to see them
its not an aux cord wank off

>djs play what they want

seems selfish. what if i don't like what they're playing? they could at least throw in my choices every song so i can enjoy my drink to a decent song for a change.

thank you

Lol
