as a brit i dont really care it was shit here anyway
Shut the fuck up.
It was on MTV. What do you think?
RJ Berger was kino though
>Starring a Downs Syndrome Hobbit as Jay
>It was on MTV
The US remake failed to make a show about four social retards
Let's just remake every timeless classic we can and then we'll also just starting gloriously fucking up perfectly good British shows, you tried it with fawlty towers, Jesus fuck you should have learnt your lesson, inbetweeners, skins, shameless, just hurry up and remake father ted with Jews and only fools and horses with spics instant classics
I could actually see those last two working
>americans try to remake a british show
>it's shit
BUS TURDS
The main draw of the Inbetweeners was how realistic the dialogue felt. It's a show about 16 year old boys: they're crude and not particularly witty. The US version didn't capture that. They sounded very scripted.
Nah the British Inbetweeners was GOAT.
>Dat feel when father is a Nigerian minister who raises you to be a good christian virgin.
>Dat feel when the show is so funny u watch it together despite all the filth that he would normally beat me for.
FUCK U DAD. IM 26 NOW I LIVE BY MYSELF AND LET MY GIRLFRIEND FINGER MY ASS AND I LOVE IT FUCK U FUCK U FUCK U
I think they had some success with the US version of Steptoe and Son starring niggers.
It was terrible, but so was the original.
>Burgers honestly thought they could port over a should based on banter and cringe, two things they don't understand
The only thing Americans like is creampies to the face, both in the PG and porn sense.
Wow, look at how awkward and unattractive Will is.
It was terrible. Doesn't help that The Inbetweeners is very British. It could have worked if they pulled a "The Office" and just took the core idea and went in another direction, but they didn't.
>Americans try to remake a British show
>it's better than the original
It was the actors that let this show down the most imo. The original series was crude and had plenty of shit jokes but the boys behaved like real people and were believeable as a group of friends. The exchanges in the American version felt awkward af and the banter doesn't really work in a us high school setting.
>two things they don't understand
Although Britain is much better on average with cringe, Scott's Tots and The Dinner Party are two cringe classics of American Television.
Everything about it was shit except for the American Will which was miles better than the original.
>the bus turds scene
Never happened
this literally LITERALLY looks like a BLACKED shot. I think it's the lighting
this has never happened in the history of film or TV
It was shit in the first place
>lad humour shite
>timeless classic
see
I agree, the banter doesn't work when they can't call each other wankers or whatever. Tip toeing around censors doesn't make for realistic dialogue
Isn't British Butthurt the name of a popular drink over there? It's scotch drank out of sheep's colon iirc.
It's so fucking accurate to how sixth form is over here.
Shameless.
best inbetweeners girl coming through
Don't forget they tried it with Red Dwarf, casting a good looking beefcake as Lister.
I unironically agree.
That low-test faggot doesn't deserve a thick girl like that. Plus isn't it canon that he has a tiny dick? Just saying, I've slept with a girl like that with the wide pelvis and birthing hips, you need something a little more than average to get it done right.
To be fair have you seen the British version of That 70s Show?
Also, Fawlty Towers and Red Dwarf never got past the pilot stage.
the worst part is he finds her attractive but is scared of what other dudes think.
>UK in the late '80s is 2-3% black
>UK Red Dwarf cast is 50% black
>US in the late '80s is 10-15% black
>US Red Dwarf cast is 0% black
Americans, please explain.
Honestly, get your normie shit out of here.
Tru
...
Doing an American remake of a show whose only distinguishing characteristic is being a British take on American high school shows
>I've slept with a girl like that
Why would you ever admit this
While the last film wasn't their finest, I think I laughed more at this moment than most.
Is your girlfriend white?
cause hes beta as fuck
the US version of Shameless is far better though

>not laughing the most at football friend
frieeend
As a Brit we didn't see it or care about it
Same as when you guys tried the IT crowd or Office
Teens must have been annoying shits doing that when that episode came out
I have no idea why I found that scene so funny, but I remember laughing so hard that my RA came into my dormroom to make sure that I was alright and didn't accidentally take some drug.
Is this from movie ? I can't remember that scene in serie
Whose Line is it Anyway
I loved that bit too, but it didn't make me actually lol.
Dude, me and my friend were screaming and choking with laughter after that. We were pretty drunk, but we usually are. It doesn't make me laugh now, but when we first saw it...
Yeah from The Inbetweeners 2 movie.
BUSTURDS
Why is Neil the best character?
>Get the blowy and ask for a fuck. If she says no then dump her.
youtu.be
Why not both?
i've never watched this show, and just looked up football friend on youtube.
i'm dying here.
youtube.com
BRAVO AMERISHOOTS
How did you never finish it? It's repeated to death on E4 It's still funny though after multiple viewings
i don't watch telly.
Underrated masterpiece.
its a paint by the numbers sitcom, the original wasn't
Everyone involved needs to be put down. It's the humane thing to do.
I haven't either since like 2011. Sorry I was thinking in the past there. Ya, back like 7 years ago, the Inbetweeners was always on
American Office went from passable to another Bazinga sitcom so quickly
Loved The VVitch
Both versions are garbage.
But the American one is probably worse mainly because the only thing The Inbetweeners has in terms of jokes or comedy is swearing and bodily fluids.
If you can't make use of either of these things due to the insane American restrictions then the show literally has nothing.
I'd avoid both like the plague tbf
Did the second movie help or hurt the show's legacy?
The first movie was just different enough from the show plus it made sense with them going on holiday. The second one kinda diminished the ending the first film and seemed pretty forced by a story standpoint.
I died from laughing when Neil punched the fish to death.
>tfw that was the second time I've seen a man punch a fish to death

faggots
terrible. american remakes only work if they take the core idea/characters of the british show and use their own style/humour like the office and shameless.
Watched every episode of both, UK version beforehand. US version is better.
I don't think it hurts the show's legacy but it is pretty terrible. Apart from the water slide scene, people have forgotten about it already.
I remember that scene thinking damn I'd pound her hard plus she wanted him right then and there like shit I was jealous. She was on some show recently and she's lost weight.
Zach Stone is gonna be famous was good too.
MTV was pretty based in the EARLY 2010s with RJ Berger, Zach Stone, Beavis and Butthead, and Good Vibes
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED
>Why's there always some cunt with a guitar?
That and Will's outburst in the communal tent thing were the best moments.
My little bro was around the same age when it was shown. Trust me, it was fucking painful to be around him.
Remember when Americans tried to remake Peep Show?
youtube.com
It was the crude dialogue of the teenagers and the banter that worked for the UK version. The US had none of the chemistry and also had
>BUS TURDS
BUS WANKER
its lad humour. doesnt translate well to an american audience
Isn't lad humour just identical to American bro humour?
no
NO
god no
Care to explain why not?
...
That's like asking why a goat ain't a honeybee, they's different animals entirely.
>see/speak/hear no evil cliche
british """"subtlety""""
Not the guy who asked, but I kinda agree they aren't all that different. A poop joke is just a poop joke. Doesn't matter if you try to class it up a bit.
Will's Mum or Neil's sister Sup Forums?
Will's mum, definitely
Neils sister 2bh
>poop joke
>lad humour
