Best Year in Music?

What was the best year in music and why is it 1977?

You literally compare it with two superior 3x3s in the image, wtf

If we're talking about rock, probably 1967.

Sorry OP, but it's definitely 1971.

In fact 67-73 was probably the best period in pop history.

Literally only one good 1971 album.

Who's Next?

I always thought 77 was a so-so year for music.

>prog bloat everywhere
>disco
>mainstream rock scene is a snoozefest

explain me how atrocity exhibition, bottomless pit and blackstar deserve to be in this list

It's a bait list

Tago Mago.

>Pablo Honey

it's an obvious bait

ITS AN ALBUM ABOUT DEATH AND HE DIED YOU HAVE TO LIKE IT

atrocity exhibition is the best one on the list

1971, objectively

>1993
>not 1991

how?

1967, 1969 or 1971

excuse me, but this website is for adults only

1997 is objectively the best year for music in terms of great releases.

It's in my opinion the most creative one, all others had been kinda done before

wew lad

Better chart.

>In fact 67-73 was probably the best period in pop history.

music history*

This chart if nothing else demonstrates that some artists like Rush were releasing albums very firmly rooted in the 70s while others like Ultravox seemed to be previewing the 80s.

And 1993.

Seriously, LFL is a much better album than The Idiot which is like swallowing a bottle of Nyquil. I mean, the average tempo of those songs seems to be about 35 bpm.

not bad except that Pearl Jam album

I wonder why Liz Phair never became Sup Forumscore like Bjork.

Bjork never sold out and produced an album as cringeworthy as Liz Phair's S/T.

>Bjork never sold out
>what is Post

It's hard to top a fucking almost 40 year old single mom deciding she wanted to be 17 again and look like Britney Spears.

1998 was a GOAT year

pic rel

>king gizzard & the lizard wizard
unironically kill yourself

...

Hmm...

98 was a weaker year than 99 anyway.

...

...

Well I sure as fuck wasn't putting Britney and N*Sync albums on there.

Cool Earth, Wind, and Fire references there, Nas.

The 1977 chart is obviously the best because rap wasn't invented yet. The other charts contain rap(which we all know is a shit genre) so they aren't as strong.

So name some better 1999 albums.

He probably found their albums in his uncle's basement or something.

1966, 67, 69 and 95 are better

maybe 91 too

I could have put Tonight The Stars Revolt on there, but it's better for cred purposes to list the less commercial WDT.

can't make a bigger chart cuz only 6 good albums came out in 1999

How cute, he fell for the "if it's obscure and only 10 hipsters listen to it, it's automatically good" maymay.

>mfw literally every single one of these albums is normie trash

1991 and 2000 are best years.

You are correct. Music in the early seventies is objectively better than whatever shit OP is going on about.

late 80s to early 90s was GOAT for hip hop and alt rock

rock history

>slow songs are bad
Why dont you go listen to speed metal. The idiot is a more cohesive and atmospheric album than lust for life, which takes a nosedive in the second half

>Using Kid Rock in any list of good stuff
