I feel bad for ya if you haven't listened to this masterpiece.

real patricians only

...

post rock as background muzak

Bluetile Lounge
Red House Painters
Low
Codeine
Bedhead
Duster but they're unbelievably overrrated on here

Right there, all you'll ever need.

this is the second slowcore album everyone listens to mane

>no mention of Mojave 3
c'mon m8

okay you're right need to listen to the post-Slowdive material more...Rachel Goswell and Mark Kozelek would have been the biggest couple of slowdive imo, shame it only came to a smooch backstage.

Stratosphere is a 10/10 album man

same

this one

meh..the atmospherics are cool but the songwriting just isn't there.. perfect for Sup Forumstants seeking for a slightly melancholic background soundtrack i guess.

>this is the second slowcore album everyone listens to mane
so what it's still the best

The Curtain Hits The Cast does it better but people don't listen to it that much for unknown reason. Over The Ocean and Waltz are their best songs. You also called it patrician but it's one of their more accessible early releases. No problem though, Low is a great band.

>people don't listen to it that much for unknown reason
because it does it worse...

explain yourself, how does ICLIH do it better?

sounds good in me ear holes

Haha, posts like these are what i come for to Sup Forums - music discussion.

I'll be over here, being the superior album

This is really great, it's probably their second best album. Sunflower is the only song that comes close to the fatalistic beauty of There is a Light that never goes out

down colorful hill is RHP's best

youtube.com/watch?v=onhva8_8q-I

Duster ;^(

best taste first post

lmao

they have better albums

R u me?
Switch Bedhead with Love, Claire and those are my favorites.

I almost bet you also have clinical depression

>they have better albums
which ones
i've only heard that one and self titled

these

I like both The Blossom Filled Streets and The Sand and the Stars more than their first two albums.

also you guys (for the most part) have really awful entry level taste in this genre.

this attitude needs to come back to Sup Forums 2bh

What do you think of this?

ok now we're getting somewhere.

probably my 3rd favorite by him behind North Star Deserter and Is the Actor Happy?

Not that guy. I absolutely adore Flirted With You All My Life. Your taste isn't as elitist as you think though.

I think the first track towers above the rest but the rest is pretty good.
I'm not purporting to have elitist taste, I just think that "contrarian" is a really cancerous word/attitude

What do you guys think of this

youtube.com/watch?v=Hl1rUbu45Ec

plens, his best are his first three albums, Little to Drunk and West of Rome being his master-piece.

At the Cut is still bretty good, tho.

rivulets' s/t and escape the day's ghostless are pretty up there too

>rivulets

my nigga

youtube.com/watch?v=GQpC6pyEVgs

OH how could i forget the white birch? i feel so ashamed of myself

Hey hey hey ya got me

yay, my taste best taste

low makes good songs, but not good albums

that's why there's so many people who talk about them on here, it's actually pretty annoying

i still sorta think of this of an EP, just really slow so its long

It's actually a remixed selection from a long array of demos to make a cohesive album. It's 100 percent an album.

My favourite was already posted so I'll share my second favourite.

Nothing can beat this for me.

I think half of them are shills

shit, yeah you are right

red house painters' first 4 albums are fucking gold

More neofolk than slowcore imo.

and also not that good so it doesn't really count in that way, too.

early Mojave 3 only, the latter albums are more indie-pop/dreampop.

how come no-one talks about this album when it comes to slowcore?

The first four songs are extremely depressing. Your Church Is Red is a quintessential slowcore song.

think slowcore has the worst fanbase on mu

?

every thread is the exact same its like no one who listens to it can find things on their own

Atleast it's not constant arguing and little kids calling 50-year-old men niggers

isn't that one of the points of a music board lmao. People talking about music they like and recommending it similar things?

get off your high horse, pal.

There is so little slowcore out there though. It was an unpopular movement that lasted for like 5 years.

>love, claire
aye tho

Waddup Love, Claire famalam

The New Year barely get posted here. They're a better Bedhead.

on merezine
and ephedrine
and benedryl
dramamine
and ketamine
and nyquil
and dextromethorpin
and hydrobromide
and the light

I think what they did with this album is what Lisa Germano was trying to do but taken to the next level. It really is something else.

The For Carnation
Dirty Three
Duster

Any more sludgy, super-depressive slowcore? People always suggest Jesu but they've never clicked for me

The Angelic Process is the usual answer, but I personally find their music beyond dull. If you're looking for something in the metal spectrum, Corrupted's Garten der Unbewussheit's pretty fantastic -- the words 'slowcore metal' literally entered my head upon first listen. If you're just looking for straight-up shoegaze, Whirr's Around feels like a xan'd-out wall of sound.

Love Whirr and TAP, will def check out Corrupted
