How would you rate his Spiderman performance?

How would you rate his Spiderman performance?

Perfectly nerdy/10

Literally 100/100

its the one time i enjoyed the quips.

Really great. Was weary of a Highschool Spiderman but he was one of the highlights

It was a serious film with very little "quipping," it had a few actual jokes. Spider-Man actually "quipped" and it worked, because it was his character and it fit the situation.

Ant-Man makes some actual "jokes" and they are totally different than the Age of Ultron quips we got every other line.

Russos are masters.

9/10. I didn't like the outfit but that's not on him tbqh

10/10 literal perfection

Aunt May was kinda shit though, hot as she was.

10/10 twink

>twink

A-user...

"You know, typically there isn't this much talking during fights..." Captain America

>it's your conscience. We don't talk much anymore

bretty good

also hyped for the Spidey movie since they announced they're going to turn it into a John Hughes hommage

John Hughes is teen kino

Yeah, that's a real joke. It related to the character and to the situation Ant-Man was taking on with the "you hear little voices in your head." Difference between a quip "Hey buddy I think you dropped this!"
and a joke.

Shit was masterful.

yes...?

I... I ... just...

what...?

Best one

NOTHING

10/10 can't wait to see him get Auntied

ok have fun homophobe

Bring back Tobey.

>Auntied
Is this the new BLACKED

6/10, not as good as Maguire or Garfield but still deceng

Fantastic. Best yet. That said though, I dont think a movie with this kind of spiderman would work, infact I think it would be annoying as fuck. Hes really awkward and kiddy, I think it was effective here because he didnt have so many lines and was only involved in scenes that allowed him to throw quips left and right.

>homophobe

Fuck you I'm straight and accepting of gays. I don't love gays or twinks though.

bretty gut/10

I want to cuddle and wrestle Tom Holland in a little brother kind of way.

Giga-Nigga/10

HAVREEWUN

Would you be upset if it was?

"I thought that was a water truck"

Real jokes.

Instead of

>Haha, he just got burned.

noice double dubs
I want more hot aunties in my films

Instead of
LOOKS LIKE THINGS ARE JUST STARTING TO... HEAT UP

9/10

Raimi babby's will still say Maguire was better.

Whedon is in the thread with us

>Raimi: I messed up on the third one. I think they're so complete now, Marvel. They probably don't need me anymore. But if they needed me? I'd love to. It's great to be wanted.

I could definitely get on board with Raimi directing and Holland as Spider-Man.

Very fuckable

>Very fuckable

user...

8/10, best one yet.

>I'VE GOT A LETTER FOR TONY... STANK

>in high school
>already balding

JUST

>It was a serious film with very little "quipping

The 15 minute "Civil War" was nothing but quips.

Falcon and Winter Soldier's relationship was nothing but quips.

Hawkeye's interactions with... every character in the movie was nothing but quips.

Same thing with Ant Man.

You're insane.

9/10. He did a stellar job being a nerdy dweeb who was star struck by his peers and didn't know what to do in a fight due to being nervous, but still having abilities way above everyone else. Also, his line about Star Wars was pretty spot on, but almost on the nose.

I think you're just actually fucking retarded and didn't hear any of the dialogue.

Still not as good as his best incarnation, literatly everything was perfect from this.
Now its up to his movie to see how good he is, but hey, at least he quiping makes sense unlike the rest of the Marvel characters.

>Iron Man: "You hurt vision's feelings."
>You kept me locked up
>That's an exaggeration

>Hey Clint
>Hey Man
>You done retiring
>I hit 18 holes. Cant seem to miss
>First time for everything
>Made you look

That's not quipping.

That's called a fucking conversation.

QUIPS are things that have nothing to do with anything

I don't get it

I was surprised how much I liked him considering that I usually dislike teen characters and don't think much of spiderman.

>You've been busy
>And you've been an idiot

Jesus, that quip!

I loved when Tony said
>You're going to come with us, because it's us, or you can go with the government who aren't as nice

THOSE QUIPS LOL

Especially the quip of
>Captain Rogers, I know you think what you're doing is right, but you have to stop

>that old movie the empire strikes back

As if kids don't know about Star Wars these days. In what context would you be introduced to this movie and not refer to it as Star Wars afterwards?

Captain America tells Spider-Man he has heart and identifies with him because they're both from New York.

That quip, jesus! It's almost like a real conversation. But nah, it's a quip.

My cousin is 15 and hasn't seen Empire Strikes Back.

>firetrucks have water in them
>watertrucks have fire in them

pottery

In my mind, that line was said because Disney owns Marvel and Star Wars now.

Are you kidding right now? This quip meme has gone out of hand.

Hawkeye telling Wanda to get off her ass or mope in high school is a quip?

You're fucking insane.

The entire Star Wars vs Lord of the Rings super geek fight in Clerks 2, from the hardest core of fans, refers to the films by their titles, not "Star Wars" or "Lord of the Rings"

He isn't going to say

REMEMBER IN STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, EPISODE 5
in the middle of battle

I really liked the characterization in this movie for him. He's young, naive, and just got his powers and is still learning what he can do. He gets manipulated by stark to add some muscle to his team, borderline getting blackmailed. And when facing off against experienced opponents, he holds his own incredibly well while still keeping his upbeat quippy persona. That whole time he was fighting he kept ogling all the cool ass tech he's never had a chance to see before (falcons wings, buckies arm).

I don't know guys, this spiderman was pretty perfect. My only complaint was how forced his presence felt. So suddenly stark knows about spiderman and keeps it to himself the whole time? The fact that he just automatically knew who he was without any real explanation peeved me. But besides that, the actual actor and his performance were terrific. I just seriously hope he doesn't look as horrificly cgi in his solo movie like in Civil War. It's so fucking obvious he was edited into the airport fight(the exception being when Tony tells him to go home).

>Captain America tells Spider-Man

Right after he drops a jet bridge on him that he has no idea he can lift?

He knows his strength.

I feel like people here are confusing quipping with "making the audience laugh"

People here don't understand the difference between canned stupid fucking responses (QUIPPING) that are meaningless and actual personality in a conversation.

Spider-Man does the quipping. Canned meaningless responses like
>YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT
and
>HEY BUDDY I THINK YOU DROPPED THIS

But they fit. They are part of the character, to make QUIPS.

Actual jokes and casual conversation is not "quipping," it's just how shit goes.

Spiderman/10

Best Peter
Best Spiderman

Now imagine him in scenes of actual depth and tragedy where his sudden quip has to shift.

Literally 5 Spiderman movies and only Marvel accomplishes it. Kek.

That one user called a conversation between Stark and Clint
>Hey, how you doing
>I played a lot of golf, but it's boring

Quipping.

That's apparently quipping to that retard.

If they ever go Multiverse I want to see him vs Tobey Macguire.

Literally watching the rip. He doesn't as Spidey deals with Bucky/Falcon while Cap's busy with Rhodey/Panther.

I'd give you that he'd think Spidey would leap out of the way but he's flat on the floor when Cap throws the shield to take out the bridge

>Garfield
>Good

He's fought a bunch of super humans already. He understands instantly how strong Spider-Man is when he webs his hands and starts pulling him back.

Cap is a skilled strategist and he's fought an immense amount of people now.

>Garfield was good
>can't spell
Poetry

Maguire was good in a
>We don't really understand Spider-Man, but we can make a kind of cheesy super hero film and do most of it right
way

Garfield was laughable. Cringeworthy, awkward, edgy, weird looking.

>mcucks trying to defend their quipverse

He was literally getting pulled by him. He knows he's strong as shit.

Annonying as fuck/10

So he's the perfect Spider-Man.

10/10

If you are annoyed by him, you don't like the character.

>DCucks defending 28%

>Antman quips 10/10
>Caps quips 8/10
>Spidy quips 5/10
>literally anyone 2/10
>Iron Manlet -9999999999999999/10

I'm not defending Iron Man 3 or Age of Ultron.

But do not incorrectly define what a quip vs an actual joke vs actual conversation is

9/10

yes...?

quip
kwip/Submit
noun
1.
a witty remark.

joke
jōk/Submit
noun
1.
a thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter, especially a story with a funny punchline.

wait, they got a white kid to play Spider-Man?

He needs to be less annoying
>implying
The best Spider is from the "The Spectacular Spider-Man".

Quip: Hey dude I think you dropped this

Joke: It's your conscience...
I know we don't talk much.

>Marvelcucks thinking everyone who critics their kids movies are Dcucks.

I think it's a little weird that they're seeming to merge the Peter Parker and Spider-Man personalities. Normally Peter Parker is pretty mild-mannered, but when he puts on the suit he gets all confident and quippy. But in this they just kind of made him have the same personality throughout. It's not necessarily bad, and in the end I did like Spider-Man in this movie, but it was different from what I've come to expect so it was a bit jarring and took some getting used to.

>Criticizing a 92%

Apparently you missed the part Spidey webbed Cap's legs and swung him around like crazy.

I want to see you do that. Cap seems like a heavy, big guy.

He was calm and excited meeting Stark, and quippy as Spider-Man.

What you talkin' bout?

>Joke: I thought that was a water truck
10/10
-
>Quip: AHHHHHHHHH I'M BLIND DDDDX
-9999999999999998/10
keep trying.

Great

They are literally quips. They're short, punchy, "clever" statements fired back and forth between the characters. It's certainly an exchange, but it's an exchange of quips. I had no problem with any of them, but let's not get carried away with mislabeling it entirely.

He was all nervous talking to Stark, a billionnaire super hero celebrity.

He put on the costume and was bantering like crazy against all the super heroes. Seems like the way it should to me.

I see it as two things: either he's dropped the bridge to kill him, knowing he can't deal with it. Or he knows he's strong enough to deal with it but drops it to incapacitate him.

But if he knows he's strong why would he drop the bridge if Spidey can hold it, or more to Cap's estimate, grab it, leave it and go back to arresting Cap?

He was great. He actually felt like a nerdy teenager trying to be a smartass. I think he'll be able to carry his own movie in Homecoming.

Tony Stark discovering Spider-Man off a Youtube video was 1000x cringier than Lex Luthor finding the Justice League off stolen data files

You're retarded

Ant-Man was the best part of the movie.

>Here is your shield, Captain America!
