I know people are going to tell me that "kys" is a super old abbreviation that people have been using since the dawn of the internet and that I'm a newfag, but I swear I've only started seeing people type "kys" within the past few months.
Prior to that, if somebody wanted to say "kill yourself" to somebody, they just write "kill yourself." I want to imagine it's a league of legends thing to avoid getting auto-banned. Like saying "fk you" instead of "fuck you" because you'll get banned immediately saying fuck to somebody in that game.
