Pretty nice listicle of his achievements on the BBC site:
bbc.co.uk/timelines/zpstwxs

I had no idea he ran BBC2 and was "Director of Programmes" in the 60s. He commissioned Monty Python!

>"You're crampin' mah style, Dave. I'm trying to score some chicks here, man!"

that was cute af

It's in 4K and there's gonna be more awesome stuff like this:

Good god the comfy. Going to start rewatching this today.

The music in that first clip is wonderful

>a voice to mark the ages

I will miss him when he passes from this plain.

especially the opening theme song, A Game Of Strategy

that's cute, he thinks Jessica Chastain is a child

The music in the first video is from Memoirs of a Geisha OST, not Planet Earth, but thanks for the links.

based

...

He's a worthless cunt.

Go away Batman. Just because your echolocation wasn't working the night you flew into his face doesn't mean you can diss Sir Dave.

As well as The Blue Planet 2.

Now if we could get a Walking With Dinosaurs 2...

I hope David is around long enough to narrate it

I wish nothing but horrible shit on all white people

nice

youtube.com/watch?v=pseB0ZlhTjc

Can someone invent immortality before he dies please

Considering how much narration he has done over the past seven decades, I wouldn't be surprised if he would be the best candidate there is for synthesizing a voice.

...

...

...

>David was the middle brother
>He's the only one still with us

how can one man be so based

Damn, turns out the old footage of him trekking around the world was shot in colour:

twitter.com/BBC/status/728630318903656449

I think this is part of the show about him that is airing tonight.

I cry every time I watch him playing with the blind rhino. I hope I'm as energetic and of such a sound mind at that age.

dude rocks a blue shirt

Must be the BBC uniform. Palin wears the same in his travel shows.

>not even dead
why the fuck does this thread exist?
people have birthdays all the fucking time

They don't have ninety of them though.

Thanks to the onslaught of celebrity deaths in this years first few months, you might have forgotten that once in a while it's nice to celebrate the life of someone who is still alive. Not many people make it to 90.

not all people are david attenborough

How can i age like David Attenborough?

hell be fine

youtube.com/watch?v=rfh-64s5va4

>Ask an old probably senile man to act against a greenscreen
>Pulls it off really convincingly
The Hell? Maybe he's not as senile as I would assume. I would think most 90 year olds wouldn't understand what the fuck is going on in this situation.

leave. asap.

>probably senile man

This is hands down the most retarded post I've ever read here.

>I think this is part of the show about him that is airing tonight.
My mistake, it's a 90-min show about Zoo Quest on BBC4 on Wednesday.

He's been immersed in media for six decades, he saw the introduction of green scene probably around the time your mother was sadly brought into this world.

have some respect you dirty mongrel

>wake up
>see David Attenborough is in the news
>thought he was kill
>turns out its his birthday today

...

i know it's facebook but check it out

There is no other famous person I would like to shake hands with more than him. Just to thank him for inspiring me to develop my passion for animals, especially for reptiles and amphibians. If not for him I probably wouldn't be studying veterinary medicine.

Him and Steve Irvin created a generation of not animal lovers, but young biologists seeking thrills and understanding of the beautiful nature around them.

>created a generation
You could probably credit Attenborough for at least two generations

Good thing we all secretly hate non-whites anyway

Its actually a shame that 20 years down the line that kind of accent won't exist in Britain anymore. Its held against you to sound remotely well spoken and most lads even at uni talk like blacks. Girls sound exactly the same because none of them could stand to be unique and not appeal to chad and trayvon. Britain is going to lose another part of its identity.

Best narrator hands down

Thank you EU

me too
I'd rather die than work in anything else

...

hahaha

he'll be fine

Shut up, you cunt

I disagree. Maybe RP is dying, but i live in Suffolk and the Suffolk accent is dying in favour of more traditional pronunciation. I have been told I sound posh by older people from Suffolk. Maybe in cities they do but I think rural parts of the country will pick up the slack.

If I had to watch one Attenborough documentary, which would it be? I've heard that Planet Earth is a fan favorite.

I'm 27 and I have always liked animals (except spiders) but realised far too late that I am quite passionate about them. I think it's too late to change career now but I would thank him for having the most positive impact of anybody on the planet in the last century.

>tfw he'll die within the next 10 years

just fuck me up, the bbc will do some sort of shitty diversity hire to present nature documentaries when he goes

Planet Earth will give you a good overview. Anything he does is incredible so if theres a more niche subject you like then seek it out.

>(except spiders)

...

>90 years old
>still doing documentaries

hell be fine

I'm not opening that webm but even though I am terrified of them I can't deny that they are great animals.

I watched The Hunt recently what other BBC natural science documentaries are there to watch?

Spider vs spider? What trickery is this?

Planet Earth is great, but personally Life is my favourite. The parts at the end where it showed a diary of the crew that was filming one of the segments was always extremely interesting.

>British documentary
youtube.com/watch?v=gSwvH6YhqIM

youtube.com/watch?v=EvKJcxa8x_g

>American documentary
youtube.com/watch?v=8L_1teHLycw

youtube.com/watch?v=qsAUKRbaZ9E

Japan: Earth's Enchanted Islands was a recent one I liked.

Seconding this. No weeb shit in sight and really made me realise how much beauty it has outside of the cities.

youtube.com/watch?v=8wGbCNDw-m0

Thanks

There's literally no bad animal all of them are perfect and a miracle
nature is so beautiful

I agree.

Giraffes, elephants and sloths are my favourite though.

I rather dislike parasites though.

If you can get hold of any of the recent BBC Natural World programmes, they're usually pretty good. They're often standalone episodes featuring certain subjects.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_World_(TV_series)

>why are we recording my narration when we haven't finished filming?

You know, I've thought about this before, specifically for his narration. I wonder if they'll at least give it a try.

>cockroaches
>mosquitos

That american longbow segment is just embarrassing.
>best defence was chain mail...its loose mesh
>loose mesh

They used Eberts audio commentaries and TV shows to do it with him. There must be ten times the audio for Attenborough, at least.

roaches and mosquitoes are needed
and who the fuck but woman and gays care about roaches

>cockroaches

what's the matter with cockroaches?

No you.

Film is the best

whoa what happened why did it change from black and white to color

And considering ethics, it seems more reasonable to use someone's voice to cover science than it does for something like a review. I've never heard the commentaries you're talking about, so maybe they're fine, but I think any personal opinions or subjectivity should be off the table.

>BBC.Lost.Land.of.the.Jaguar.HDTV.x264.AC3.MVGroup
Thanks. The torrents for these are almost dead but it looks like there is at least 1 seeder for them.

Sorry, I meant to say that he had a voice box like Stephen Hawking, but with his own voice.
