Gold and Blue

The undercut on girls makes my dick hard, though.

>not understanding gold and blue has been an advertising gimmick for almost a century

'no'

Any depictions of capitalism

anything 720p or less. That's and quality film grain.

White actors

Shots that serve no purpose other than being cool in 3d.
Shitty make up jobs for no reason
>sean penn as coen
>that comedian now serious guy in foxcatcher
Tablets
>mission impossible

Smartphones
Feminist pandering
Homo/transphobia
References to Youtube/Facebook/Skype/etc.
Fashion, obviously

I wasn't complaining. It's just interesting to me. Also interesting that there are no lead characters that follow fashion, becuase people want to avoid being dated. Katniss would never have had that haircut. You don't see characters with dropped crotch pants or uggs. There have been whole fucking songs about uggs, but you never see main characters in them. Crocs too.

>undercut thing
>jimmy is a guy who was in ww1
>that hair cut being associated with soldiers
>him sticking to that for obvious reasons
You're a fucking idiot

White male leads

...

It wasnt plagueing older movies tho

Movies shot in details that you can see on a televison or theater and not on your phone

Image quality is an interesting one. Film is an analogue format, so when you get a great digital transfer of like Lawrence of Arabia it looks amazing. Studd shot digitally may not hold up as well as digital image display improves, right? Framerate changing is a scary thought as well. Aspect Ratio and laughtracks already dates 90s comedy.

>Shots that serve no purpose other than being cool in 3d.

This was my problem with Martin Scorsese's HUGO. Fucking garbage sequences thrown in that didn't serve the narrative, beneath him as a storyteller.

>movie has a love interest
>movie has a male main character in love with female
>main character is white
>white male hero doesn't get a black bull to bang his white gf
>editing will be seen as not nauseatingly spastic enough
>every scene will have a graphic stating the characters name and their motivation so the audience can follow
>movies not containing propaganda for red Chinese

3D and i hope it doesnt take 30 years

>Tablets

Oh yeah, tech is a huge one. Very hard to anticipate what will be dated there though, as it's hard to know where tech is going. I guess when they throw tech in your face and talk about how state of the art it is.

Presidents played by male actors
Money referred to as "dollars"

>Fashion, obviously

What fashions though? I can't think of any huge trends right now that would be that out of place back in the day or seem like fads at the minute.

Probably hipster clothing and strange beards. Maybe also desktop computers.

I never said it wasn't era appropriate. It's just very 10s also. We always depict era-appropriate stuff with a modern flavour in cinema.

Would be pretty cool if they got rid of the downsides of having a laptop sometime soon to be honest family

I don't know, it's hard to tell what's going to look ridiculous in the future.

Skinny jeans, maybe. Flannel shirts with everything. Obnoxious hair dyes. Glasses could be made obsolete between now and then, who knows.

Holy fuck you guys, get over yourselves.

The shaved head look in OP will look as retarded as the jheri curl or mullet or 80s poofy hair or perms. Its just how it works

Any computer that doesn't fit in your hand is probably gonna look like one of those 90's brick phones in 30 years.

>Lack of Trash economy
>Retards not just being killed
>no underwater sea farming
>Facebook isn't your birth certificate

True. I can't think of many other characters that have that hair though.

I don't want to die before VR porn, bros.

its kinda of a broad word for fashion for example haircuts from the old times can still be a trend so yeah.

>haircuts from the old times can still be a trend

Exactly. Fuck niqqa.

I remember thinking the same thing both in the 90's and the early 2000's. I was thinking, "okay, yes they had weird fashion trends in the past that look ridiculous now, but I think we all look normal these days. Wow. For the first time in history we've arrived at a time where our clothes aren't going to look weird or dated when we look back on them!" Cut to ten years later, "Holy shit. Emo haircuts? Jnco jeans? Alright well we've looked pretty strange over the last twenty years, but it's good to know we've finally reached a point in history where our clothes aren't going to look weird or dated when we look back on them!"

You can never judge what's weird about a time and place when you're still living through it, but trust me you're going to cringe. The more cutting edge and fashion foreword someone looks at the time, the more out there and dated they look in retrospect.

Yeah, I agree, that's part of the fun of thinking about this stuff - identifying what's "current" in a way that won't be before long. That said, we did basically reach that elusive point in time in the 50s when we decided t-shirts weren't underwear.

CGI blood

>oy vey they know too much

Only because it won't be as good as the CGI blood 30 years from now.

>muh Jewish conspiracy
>muh white genocide

>shaky cam

God I hope this shit fucking dies. It adds nothing to films and is just an excuse for poor choreography and direction choices.

I think digital in general looks like absolute shit.

It can be good, it needs to be used for disorientation though, like on the beach in Saving Private Ryan.

...

I agree to a certain extent, your example is a perfect use for it. However even if used for disorientation purposes it is absolutely overused in almost all action films, rendering its effects futile and ultimately distracting.

Shaky cam and an overall sense of the colours being dulled

>shaky cam
>Gold and Blue
Also CG. All CG looks dated as fuck very quickly. Maybe in the future it will look better but for now it looks like shit with a few exceptions.

I shelled out 2 grand for a hardcore PC build. Sup Forums here, we still prefer our big computers. I've got a laptop, an iphone and an ipad and I barely use those three.

I catched Good Will Hunting the other day. I had the exact same fucking haircut as Matt Damon had in the 90's, before it slowly got more spiked in the early 00's

No seriously, there are very few directors that actually know how to make digital vibrant.

There are still people using vinyl and VHS tapes today, doesn't mean they're not relics of a long forgotten age.

Well that's the problem, in SPR the scene contains action, but it's not an "action scene" in the conventional sense, it's an experiential scene, to convey horror and fear and panic. It doesn't display fight choreography and badassery because it's not designed to.

Not the same, bro. PCs are used for work or really, everything., it's teenagers that buy smartphones more than anybody else. It's just fashion for kids.

I regret to inform you that there are more teen movies than hardcore gamer movies.

I'm sure plenty of old people felt the same way about their typewriters when those newfangled computing machines came along.

Screenshot this thread and save it to your grandpa box. Then see how you feel about it in 30 years when PCs have been made obsolete by mobile devices.

What's it like being so triggered by an imaginary boogyman that even simple jokes have you crying for a safe space?

>Then see how you feel about it in 30 years when PCs have been made obsolete by mobile devices.
Nope. Screens get bigger, better. Better speakers and shit. But computers in the end are used for work and thus won't changed much. People that think cellphones will somehow be used for 3D modeling or painting or any number of things are retarded. The screens are too small even for simple things.

>grandpa box

I feel it's more than superficial things like haircuts and shaky cams that truly make a film feel dated. I mean take a trailer from 20 years ago vs one from today. I don't know how to describe it other than movie feel.

>I hate good natured joking around on my serious anime message board

People will be shocked how HBO and Showtime series got away with so much cheap vulgarity.

It will come across as really lame.

Look how far smart phones have come in just 10 years. You really think "muh work" or "muh vidya" will be enough to keep people voluntarily shackled to an ugly, space wasting, desk-mounted device considering the advances that will inevitably be made in regards to mobile devices in the next three decades?

PCucks are delusional.

I hope you see the irony here.

Tyrions constant cock quips are getting on my nerves already, does that mean it's already dated?

Who says we'll be using screens in the conventional sense for much longer.

The industry will use whatever is the fastest and most efficient, which is PCs. Handheld devices are used for work too, of course. You have tablet computers but they're still big motherfucking things because it's efficient. Yeah, I mean I could see holo and that 3D shit change things but not cellphones.

Yeah my work is currently transitioning to a smart-phone fit-out

Me and my co-workers write code on smart phones because it's much more efficient

Nah, since I'm not the one triggered and reaponding to every basic level bantspost like you were, PCbro

Mobile devices can't replace desktop pcs as workstations without someone inveting a tactile holographic display of some kind, it's just not viable to perform any work on tiny displays.

Enjoy writing paragraphs and playing vidya on your 5 inch screen.

>I'm not the one triggered

Sure.

Isn't the Singularity due in like five years time? Why are we even wasting time talking - we should be busy preparing for the robot revolution. Do you think they'll like Bernie Sanders as much as you do?

Underage teenager detected. Back to high school kiddo, don't you have your dad and principal to be mad about? Don't you have some Slayer album to listen to?

See
Literally swearing and getting frustrated at people posting simple jokes on a tv, film and shitposting image board

>The iPhone 6 is the pinnacle of mobile devices. They will not improve on anything from here, ever. Lol a 5 inch screen, there will never be a way to make those bigger

Sup Forumsedditors have no imagination.

>Literally swearing and getting frustrated

oh noes

I knew you were retarded but Jesus Christ.

Yeah, triggered af lmao

>very 10s
>coincidentally appropriate for the 2010s AND 1910s
Lmao
Everything's cyclical
Where is my third world war though?

I don't know, people don't start not wanting to see tna for some reason
>inb4 gtfo fag
Name one tv show which would be worse if it didn't be explicit with its sex scenes, still sex scenes no tit/vag/dicks though. Says a lot when most sex scenes can be cut out completely and not change a thing concerning story, character development etc.

This will never happen. An actual keyboard and a large screen is a necessity unless your just texting someone. No one's going to do work on a smartphone
