What are his best albums?

I'm talking about albums as a whole, also live albums count if you are feeling cheeky.

Give me your favorite/essential Bowie albums!

All of these and *only* these

Station to Station through Scary Monsters

1. Scary Monsters
2. Low
3. Hunky Dory
4. Ziggy Stardust
5. 1. Outside
6. Black Star
7. Station To Station
8. Diamond Dogs
9. Lodger
10. Reality Tour (Live)
11. Aladdin Sane
12. Young Americans
13. "Heroes"
14. Heathen
15. Man Who Sold The Wold

That's just my opinion, after that it all becomes an odd grey area of favorites other goodies. I love Let's Dance but there are some lesser tracks, Space Oddity is great but a bit under baked in spots and The Next Day is great yet the ideas are perfected on Black Star.

16. Let's Dance
17. Space Oddity
18. The Next Day
19. Buddha of Suburbia
20. Live BBC 2000

Blackstar is up there

No Heathen. 1.Outside, Next Day or Black Star... You goobers are missing out.

I listened to all of them, and liked them. But they're hardly transcendental or anything. *Just good* albums.

This is, in my opinion, the best way to get into Bowie

why is hours twice and black star none

are you professional moron or a gifted amateur?

why is hours twice and black star once*

Because I don't proofreading is for plebs

eeeee now is fix

Can I share my chart too?

I figure most people will hate it but it's fun knowing what other people put for their top Bowie albums.

Hey while this thread is happening, what is some Bowie with his low register used predominantly? I've listened to Ziggy Stardust and while it was good, it doesn't wow me like the second half of Under Pressure or his parts in Reflektor.

No it's too late now

Aw :(

>no Diamond Dogs

No

I'm posting it anyway.

Based Bret got it down.

Is he the most consistent solo artist in musical history? I still miss him:(

Without Pinups, Yes.

(But we have a silent a agreement on here that we just try to ignore it's existence)

How is his list?

>Diamond Dogs
Nice riff on rebel. Not much more than that.

Uh I politely disagree
Everything except Sweet Thing is fucking cool
Cyberpunk Rock Opera

MY MY

>This alludes not to a desire for religious succour but to co-producer Tony Visconti’s frequent expletive during the recording sessions for Heroes:
>"Someone fuck a priest"

Why don't you like Sweet Thing, those three track are some of my favourite favourite tracks off there

Why is Outside so underrated
Shit's fucking cool
Best Late Bowie album, better than Black Star, even.
