Pick one

as if there were more than a few hundreds albums released in the 80s. don't you think we would have heard about them if there were more?

I'd argue that this is one of the best albums ever made. The songwriting and production blow the back of my fucking head off.

...

The best album of 80s IMO

Not my absolute favorite album of the 80s, but it's up there

I haven't listened to any Genesis stuff, but I love Peter Gabriel's discography and Phil Collins' work on the Tarzan soundtrack. Where should I start?

Easiest choice I've ever made

...

Selling England by the Pound for Peter Gabriel era and either Duke or A Trick of the Tail for Phil Collins era.

not even their best of the 80s

...

Thanks user. I'll check those both out.

good choice

In all honesty I don't see how anyone can look at this thread and think that the 1980's were anything other than unequivocally the best decade of pop music

...

Yep

...

...

Fresh out of the Zappa band. Talented, overlooked musicians.

...

...

I'm glad to see The Police getting some love around here lately. Great band. Summers is the master of space with guitar and Copeland is a greatly underrated drummer.

...

To this day Prince is still hands down the best concert I've seen.

I've been memeing them to you guys lately. I'm trying to get everyone to remember a band that was popular to knock Thriller off of number one for four months.

I think it's me and about three or four others that mention them.

Btw Copeland is God

Greatly underrated as a musician overall. He composed a lot of The Police's stuff entirely by himself and also worked on movies, videogames, stage performances etc.

Copeland is awesome.

...

To you Police fans would like to rec Sting's son's band Fiction Plane.
