Wouldn't the whole system have to be replaced? R22 and r410-a were being talk about when I was being taught, and how R22 was being replaced. Maybe it's just military that says we can't do it, but suppose if you were to do it, you'd clear the system of refrigerant, no venting, pull a vacuum, and then put in the R410-A, which if I'm remembering right, is a mixed refrigerant, so it goes in as a liquid.
