Metal Machine Music by Lou Reed and side four of Live Dead by The Grateful Dead are excellent examples of Noise Rock imho.

Daydream Nation is actually post-hardcore

Think about it

Among other things, recent addition Steve Shelley came from the Crucifucks

Chrome - Half Machine Lip Moves

Here's some more recs besides pic related:

Brainiac - Hissing Prigs on Static Couture
Six Finger Satellite - The Pigeon is the Most Popular Bird
The Jesus Lizard - Goat
Unwound - New Plastic Ideas
Shellac - At Action Park
The Blood Brothers - Burn, Piano Island, Burn
Hella - Hold Your Horse Is
Oxbow - Serenade in Red
Killdozer - Twelve Point Buck

Also just look into Touch and Go Records and Steve Albini productions in general

Noise rock and post-hardcore are hardly mutually exclusive

Unfortunately they are

Inherently the term noise rock should apply to the but it doesn't. It's exclusively for bands like Unsane, Am Rep label stuff etc. I don't know how they got entitlement but they did.

Everything in this thread so far could also be labeled post-hardcore

Metal Machine Music is more Noise than Noise Rock.

Here's something from this year
Future of the Left - The Peace & Truce of Future of the Left

does it count if it's an EP?
also their album prehistory is top notch.
also sightings and arab on radar are goat noise rockers.

Evol
Psychocandy
Glenn Branca - The Ascension

If Shoegaze counts it's a complete different story

i feel like sonic youth's music was never really heavily rooted in punk, so calling it post-hardcore never made much sense to me. i can definitely see the argument though
