There's a lot of bodybuilders who suffer body dysmorphia - basically I guess muscle anorexia would be a quick description.
They look in a mirror and instead of seeing a fit, muscled person they see a skinny weakling.
Hence the steroid abuse and stupid workout regiments - they don't see what they actually look like so they constantly seek bigger and bigger muscles.
There's also a lot of ... I dunno what it'd be called, happiness displacement? Where they think things like "If my bicep was 20 inches around I'd be sooooo happy" and when they hit 21 inch biceps they still aren't happy because they aren't happy people, but rather than working on why they're unhappy they assume 24 inch biceps are the solution... and so on.
No matter how big the muscles get, they'll never be big enough. That's why you get some injecting shit into their arms and whatever to overinflat them.
Because they're sick in the head and need serious mental help.
