They Look Like People
The Conjuring 2
Mothman Prophecies
Sinister
Baghead(not sure it's too scary)

10 cloverfield lane

not really horror, but if you plan on watching it and have never seen it, get off thread now, the best part is the suspense and you don't want the movie ruined, its on putlocker too

only movie i have ever seen that i give 4.5 stars, its that good

Thanks man, sinister is the only film I've seen from that list. Conjuring 2 I've been wanting to see, but I will check out the others as well.

Hush

Was a little hesitant because I hadn't really heard much about it...but it was REALLY good.

Np, user. Have a good night!

>Sinister

Fuck...that lawnmower scene kept me up for a night or two

We Are What We Are (2013)
Just watched it this week. It's one of the best horror movies ever made.

No OP but is there anything good on Netflix? It's usually b teir crap that isn't very good.

Watched Backtrack recently. Breddy good, though I didn't like the ending very much.

Sinister is my shit. Best horror movie in years IMHO.

- The Haunting of Julia (aka Full Circle)
- Don't Look Now
- Family Portraits

Hatchet 1 and 2 (don't bother with 3)

Not really horror, but gory and funny: Turbo Kid

Have you seen Hush? Shit was good

Rubbish m8

I thought the VHS movies were decent. Each one is sort of like a collection of horror shorts. Some of them were pretty cheesy, but other ones were damn freaky.

I thought they could've done some more research on deaf people. I used to know some guy who had a deaf brother. He noticed everything. That scene at the kitchen door is bullshit.

The Babadook has its moments.
Same with The Witch
Insidious was pretty good
Sauna is a great movie, if you can handle subtitles.
Cabin In The Woods was excellent

you weren't left wondering the whole movie what was actually going on?

Turbo kid is my jam

Session 9 was pretty cool

The Haunting - Original 1963 version, don't get that crap remake.

the grifter

yes and yes.

Real movies only, please'n'thanks

>"whose hand was I holding?"
Such a good movie.

Hush was an absolutely awesome movie. If you havent seen it watch the original i spit on your grave. Not really scary but moreso just shit to make you feel uneasy. Or turn you on if youre into rape.

this is all you need.

...

The Thing (1982)
Event Horizon
Jacob's Ladder (bit of a stretch.)

I'll try and think of some more.

flesh eating mothers (not the porn)

- the original Wicker Man
- The Descent
- Last House On Dead End Street
- The Tenant
- The Isle
- Audition

She was fucking awesome. Do you have the blu-ray? There's a small making of documentary. Really worth a watch. So much love in that movie.

Sinister had scary audio. Too bad about the second one, I heard it's crap

I've seen the first hour, it's very good. Haven't finished it yet. I like the way it's shot, same with the Conjuring.

Is VHS on Netflix? Been watching Bloodline, it isn't scary but it's worth checking out.

I only wish they had never done that horrible remake. It was like the polar opposite of the original.

1408 is fucking great

Yeah, Hush's cinematography is amazing. And the girl can act.

ugh, really?!
It has such a good set-up and is even creepy for about 40 minutes, but then it just goes into Stephen King Overdrive, where they just keep throwing shit at the viewer, heaping it on until you just get bored.
At least IMO.

The only bad thing about hush is the dude takes his mask off way too early. If he left it on longer it wouldve been way more creepy.

It did do one thing good- it showed us the utter evil of The Carpenters.

If you're in a region that can search engine free movies.
Try Bone Tomahawk (2015)

I'm sorry, but The Witch was not nearly as good as I was expecting. Way too boring

Sinister is pure shit, don't watch that movie.

I believe the VHS movies are still up there. That's where I watched them. Too lazy to check right now, though.

It Follows is half decent and it's on netflix.

More gore: Martyrs (awesome), Inside

More comedy: The Voices, What We Do in the Shadows

Just checked, they are up there. Watched 1 & 2, both were decent. Don't know about V/H/S: Viral, though.

The mystery aspect of it was good, but the ending was terrible, I thought.

INSIDE is a genuinely fantastic movie.

That was a decent pun

I thought it was pretty good. I will say that it screams Stephen King, and the acting gets kind of cheesy. I'd classify it as more of a thriller than horror, if not for the (semi-spoiler) ghosts.

Thanks anons! I'll check em out tonight.

The fucking scene where she's rubbing you-know-what on herself was fucking BRUTAL.
Soundtrack was outstanding too, but yea, I wanted it to be more interesting too.
Still searching for the perfect horror movie.

Agreed. Great movie

true, it could have been better, but not going to get into it and end up ruining it for those that didn't see it yet

the awakening

I Saw The Devil is more of a thriller movie, but it's one of the best movies i've seen in a long time. Gotta put up with captions though

+ you can literally watch the whole thing on youtube for free

>Event Horizon
Every time I play dead space or similar games rewatching this hits all the right levels of comfy.

Sunshine is pretty good for the first half of the movie.

Alien is the only other space movie I can think of. That one with Ben Frost is trash

- RITUALS
- IRREVERSIBLE
- LET'S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH
- PONTYPOOL

Drag Me to Hell

Say what you will, but I enjoy Alien 3. I like it a hell of a lot more than Resurrection and Prometheus: At least this was more subtle about it's thematic influences and topics.

Prometheus was such a wasted goddamned opportunity. I kind of hate that movie.

No, I agree. It isn't bad at all. Rewatched it last year for the first time since I was a kid and it surpassed my expectations. I liked Prometheus, it isn't the second coming but it could have been way worse. I was disappointed with his movie about Moses.

The new Riddick movie is worth watching, ifyyou've never seen it.

Here you go

100% Suspiria, old school italian horror

This is a good choice.
