No language stays the same overtime, so why would he claim that french is americanised, because of that? This IS the natural progression in our age. I am not sure about the situation in France, but in Russia it is considered pleb-like to use a lot of anglicisms, unless absolutely necessary (science, etc.). Most likely, the situation in France is the same: kids and those who cannot even master their own language speak with a shitton of anglicisms, not like that makes the language/nation americanised.
