Keep it on it's little nest I built on a heating pad and feed it every 20 minutes or so.
I've fed all of my birds a mixture of kitten food, puppy kibble, an egg yolk, and a sprinkling of avian vitamins.
From what I can tell it's a house sparrow, they've been the only ones nesting here. shelters and rehabilitators around these parts don't take them in because they are considered pests. I'm it's momma now.
Heat is never an issue, in the 5 or so birds I've taken in only 2 have died, and I'm almost positive it was due to a parasite, since I got sick from handling them shortly after they died.
