Normally I post what I am listening to recently, but instead I'll just post what my current personal top 10 all time looks like right now. Curious what kind of comments/recs I'll receive just from posting this.

What have you heard from Gate? The Dew bLine is one of his most celebrated albums but I think his work before that is more interesting when it comes to structure.

anything from Some Ember

I just like high pitched notes and timbres, usually with nothing around them or sustained for a longer time

youtu.be/vr4ezP3yFNU

i actually listened to Phill Niblock today when a ginger was in the room, it was nice

oh my

oi

I think Speedin' Bullet succeeds because it recognises the base-value of its approach and is able to transcend its limits thru repetition that purports to be a divine one

The repetition isn't well-executed though; it doesn't seem deliberate. The skits are awful too. It's not the worst thing ever though. I respect you for finding ways to enjoy it though.
I'll listen to Melt right after this album, dug. I pwomise.

>no tripcode or chart
wow i definitely take your opinion seriously

good taste
the rest of you have ok to shit taste

Wow, that's a lot of DUDE WACKY LMAO stuff.

sorry dude it's just what i like

still far better than your abysmal taste

I hear ya. I love a lot of your chart, honestly. Just pointing it out. You'd probably like some of John Zorn's work.

It seems to me that the repetition is done to emphasise the lyrical input which although shallow is interesting at the very least in how it differs from other contemporaneous (and/or popular) artists in questioning over determining. The confidence comes from knowing not to take everything seriously instead of than taking things only thru a divinity (this implies a notice of the self as important). Now, of course, it being separate and/or greater than those contemporaneous and/pr popular things does not automatically give it value (other than interest in its diversion). As I said it is not a divinity but instead it is Cudi's divining, a return to the psychosocial awareness of Indicud rather than the solely internal nature of Satellite Flight; it's this simultaneous recognition of the internal and external that makes SB2H's repetition affecting to me (why else would the final track, Embers, end with a muffled but still yelling "Thank you ladies and gentleman, bye!" if not to explain a need for presentation with a desire for secrecy?). The skits are the most questionable aspect at least initially but they only further support the notion of a simultaneous internal and external awareness because of their outright ridiculousness which accepts itself (I found them fun on repeated listens but it's really easy to see why people would be turned off by them).

why do you guys like this spergo

cuz im cool

This post is longer than the album. Geez.
Like I said, I'm glad that you were able to enjoy it. I've never actually listened to his previous work so I can't really make a comparison in that aspect.

omg so cool can i join your special kids club

no it wouldnt be cool anymore if you did

Love me some Devo. Have you listened to the Hardcore Devo stuff?

Lizzy Mercier Descloux is great. You've probably already checked out the Mutant Disco album and ESG, but you haven't you definitely should.

I was a little bit disappointed with the new Gambino myself, not terrible but didn't live up to the singles, why do you like it?

>Mystic Stylez
mah nigga. Check out Evil Pimp if you want more recent music in the Memphis rap style.

Pretty good taste. Check out Rocket From the Tombs if you like Pere Ubu. It's the band the members were in prior to Pere Ubu. Other members went on to from the punk band the Dead Boys.
