Can anybody suggest some movies where the physical heat of the setting (e.g humid summer) adds to the atmosphere of the film?
The only examples I can think of are Labour Day and maybe Boyz n The Hood.

Apocalypse Now. So humid people were getting pissed off on the set.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre does this better than any movie I've seen (probably because cast and crew members were actually regularly passing out).
Well. SHEEEEEEIIIIIIIT
Everyone was just generally pissed off by everything during that shoot. But I'm sure the humidity amplified it all.
it's totally a movie user.

Literally all of do the right thing is people becoming violent racists because it is hot out.
same with summer of sam and some other Spike Lee joint mentioned here. What's his fucking problem?
Yes?
Heat makes people do weird things. And before AC became really widespread people used to hang out and interact way more than they do now because they wanted to get out of their hot houses/apartments
Falling down
All the mainline Predator movies make a plot point of the heat, since predators live in that type of weather.
And by mainline I mean predator ONLY movies, none of that vs. Alien shit.
this, falling down is the best heat movie
i'd say indiana jones 1-3 are pretty sweaty it's been a few years but i remember them being sweaty and deserts and stuff

I wouldn't say it adds to the atmosphere of the film but in Triple 9 all of our main characters are constantly drenched in sweat.
Not sure if it would fit what you're asking for but The Proposition does an amazing job of portraying the heat/dryness/alien environment of the outback
How can you watch that fucking movie? Niggers did the wrong thing at every turn and we are supposed to think he did the right thing?
...

Thank God for the internet, now people can be violently racist anonymously.
Would be funny to see a spike Lee joint about a guy angrily logging into Sup Forums.
