I love Gilmour, but these. Plus:

Frank Zappa
Lenny Breau
Grant Green
Steve Howe
Robert Fripp
Steve Hackett
Pat Metheny
Alex Lifeson
Django Reinhardt
Paco de Lucia

This, Hendrix did for rock guitar what Miles Davis did for jazz

Jesus, that's really not even important. Pioneers can beaten at their own game you know.

>Proto-post-blooz

Yeah but Hendrix by Gilmore? I don't think so. And I say that as a 70s era Floyd stan.

Peter Green
Jimmy Page
Duane Allman
Jimi Hendrix
Eddie Van Halen
Robert Fripp
Mick Taylor
Keith Richards
Angus Young
Johnny Marr
Eric Clapton
Mark Knopfler
Ritchie Blackmore
Jeff Beck
Billy Corgan
Jerry Cantrell
Tony Iommi
Brian May

Gilmour is great but kind of overrated desu

>le slow solo man

lil b

>Mark Knopfler
my personal favourite, haven't heard anyone play guitar like he can

Maybe the others but I just can't give you these two:

>Page
>Young

Just nah. They're just sloppy showsmen.

Gilmour is a way better guitar player, much more fluent on the instrument.

you fags need to all go die, rory gallagher was jimi hendrixs favorite guitarist.

he's a true god of the guitar. unbelievably good.

Page is one of the most accomplished guitarists ever. He's achieved more on single albums than Gilmour achieved in his entire career. He may have been sloppy at times but that was more due to the drugs than anything else.

this is one of the best pieces of guitar playing ever
youtube.com/watch?v=8w3emvHepgU

he was even great after zeppelin. this is maybe my favourite solo of his ever.
youtube.com/watch?v=paAqpNg54KE

Angus Young is anything but sloppy. IMO he's one of the best lead players ever, possibly even better than Page and up there with Green and Duane. No other guitarist before or since has transmitted so much energy with his playing.

one of the most insane solos ever

No one for the god?

protip: you can't.

>getting your opinions from hypertrite Rolling Stone best guitarist lists

what a great guitarist
great songwriter too

only a pleb like you would think it's impossible for someone to actually have listened to all of these artists and actually have an opinion about them and instead to you it's much more likely that they got their opinion from some trash magazine.

that's literally how your pleb mind works and it exposes how much of a pleb you are.

kill yourself.

Gilmour played perfectly for his band... actually perfectly.
Echoes gets going wind subsides, bass starts and out comes Django's gipsy jazz sequencing? It's going to sound ridiculous

Check this out. Some dude who played for this little known Hungarian band from the 70's. The outro solo on this track is incredible.

Come on man, there's more to guitar playing than just the solos.

>IMO he's one of the best lead players ever, possibly even better than Page

I was with you up until there. I really like AC/DC, but he isn't on the same level as page. Not that it is a bad thing, the beauty in his playing is the relative simplicity. Same for Malcolm, the two work (well, worked) really well together.

over rated as fuck by fanboys. He is ok, but nothing special

LOL!!!!!

Angus is so fucking underrated I swear. Best fucking lead tone ever.

youtube.com/watch?v=s3nEAmt5AZ8

Same with AC/DC. People write them off as just a meme band, but they really were amazing (at least in the 70s). Their whole groove and how tight they were as a band is completely overlooked. There are very, very few if any bands who would actually be able to nail AC/DC songs and actually sound like AC/DC.

R Kelly

Gary Moore, his 80s shit was hype as fuck, but his shift to heavy blues for the rest of his career was still pretty good

>muh frusciante

he's more of a musician than a 'guitar player'

>name a more handsome guitarist
impossibru

go away

>tfw you'll never have superior Anglo-Saxon genes

>tfw you do but you're not handsome like Gilmour
I'm not very good at guitar either.

Where are my KFC friends at ?
