Any of you guys have tattoos?, I'm planing on getting one (pic related) I'm into Greek Gods and Greek Mythology and shit.
Anyone know how much pic related would cost, I'm in UK, but assume it would be pretty much the same price anywhere.

No idea how much that would cost you dude...
But you're going to need to shop around to find an artist that's able to do that level of work.
Most tattoo "artists" are not capable of that kind of detail. You need to see a portfolio of similar tattoos before you let someone come near you with needles attempting that.
Joseph Hernandez
oh damn, i never knew that, i stupidly thought that all professional tattoo parlours could all do the same kind of work.
I don't know why but i assumed all tattoo artists to be capable of any design.
thanks for that.
Mason Peterson
Yeah, tattoos have become mainstream and tattoo parlors have sprung up all over the place - Some places will hire mediocre talent to keep up with the demand. Also a lot of artist specialize in one type of style (American traditional, Japanese, Etc.) you need to find a top-notch black and grey artist.
Grayson Gonzalez
tattoos are for fags don't do it unless you want to show everybody how dumb you are
Matthew Peterson
for real?, i haven't got any tattoos, my mother thinks tattoos are not attractive, so i wonder what other women think.
I think they look cool, but hidden, on your back or chest is fine, but on your arm, neck, legs, where people can see if you wear a t-shirt, or shorts then its stupid.
also why is it for fags, and how does it show how dumb you are?
Joshua Reed
are they usually honest when they say they cant do it, or do they all say yeah i can do it i can do it, and then end up fucking it up?
Robert Cox
Yeah some guys will do that. They want money, honestly a tattoo like in the op will cost some serious money. You get what you pay for (unless it is a tourist trap)
Thomas Lee
serious money as in a couple hundred dollars or thousands?
Jason Davis
Probably gonna cost you around 1500 GBP. Just remember that if you want it to look good, it's gonna be expensive.
Kayden Nguyen
Any of you guys have latent emotional trauma?, I'm planing on showing mine on my body (pic related) I'm into Greek Gods and Greek Mythology and shit.
Anyone know how much displaying my emotional trauma would cost? I'm in UK, but assume it would be pretty much the same price anywhere.

Depends how good of a tattoo you want
Nolan Scott
Yes, that's why every artist paints like Picasso. Because all artist are the same.

Any women that thinks tattoos are hot is a slag.
Tattoo's are a faggy little club for emotional infants and drug addicts.

Sweet - flight of Icarus?
Caleb Peterson
tattoo's became mainstream in the 70's
Colton Harris
Oh the irony!
the one on the right is an actual historical depiction of medusa. The one on the right is cheesy garbage.
Ryan Reyes
>the one on the right >the one on the right
Asher Hall
the one on the left is garbage i mean.
This is how ignorant tattoo people are of the actual art world.
Robert Flores
it's a typo aspie. deal with it.
Jason Miller
the one on the left is a lot better done, tho.
Adam Green
Which one?
Angel Stewart
I plan on getting one of these somewhere..
Ryan Mitchell
not really. It's bigger, but the snakes look like shit and it already looks faded. Look at how good the eyes on the right look and how detail on the snakes. The historical medusa is far superior.
Jack Kelly
see, $1,200 for a tattoo, even as good as that is too much, but then..
over $500 for that is pretty good price
I guess i have to check around.
Parker Hernandez
>if its old, its gold Get outta here with your 80k student loan debt you grocery bagger
Colton Roberts
1200 is over 500
Jeremiah Butler
Well, looking at them again, you're right. The snakes actually are ugly, still the left one is more aesthetically pleasing imo. Better use of the 'canvas' kind of thing
Lucas Baker
Be sure to look at the artist's portfolio they will have pictures of their best work from that you should be able to gauge what they're capable of
Elijah Bailey
So wait...you are saying the one that was pulled of ft the internet, printed as a temporary tattoo, and then traced is pretty than the other one, i totally dont see how that could happen.
Parker Jenkins
Can't speak for UK, but artists of this skill in my city charge about 230-350$ per hour if I remember correctly. No clue how long a tattoo like that would take.
Sebastian Morris
I think the most safe thing one can do is to find someone with a tattoo in similiar style to the one you want, and then ask them who done it.
Then go and Sylar that guy, and tattoo yourself.
Jackson Ortiz
holy shit what a faggot! acting like drawing on someone is some rare mythical thing foh bro every stupid attention seeking faggot has a stupid tattoo or sleeve today
Jonathan Davis
many, many hours.
Jaxson Brooks
If you want that quality you will need a few sessions , based on tattoo shown, each will be a few hours. Likely a session of line work and some shading and then one or two sessions to fully shade and detail the original line work. Probably a few months process depending on detail level and artist skill.
Likely around 1500 dollar US if you are in a reasonably priced area. Here in San Diego anow artist I'd trust to do that type of work will run you about 125/hr.
Definetly go in to the shop and look at portfolios first, or check social media before going into the shop. Plenty of artists will attempt these to gain the experience or money in some cases but others are regularly working on these type of pieces and will do a great job.
Good luck dude
Connor Phillips
Nice assumptions. I learned about medusa on Wikipedia, for free. I own my own farm.
That old painting of medusa will be remembered for another 5000 years. That shitty 90's super model medusa will be forgotten as soon as the person it's on ages past 40.
Hudson Johnson
Please tell me more salt of the earth.
Anthony Clark
thanks will do
damn alot of money, i mean it is a unique job, so probably how much it should cost.
Brayden Jones
Congratulations on owning your own farm, Sup Forumsro! What do you do at it?
Parker Gomez
Look, if you want to get a very cheap, but quality tatt u can go to a holiday trip to bulgaria or romania or some shit. For that specific tattoo i would guess you'd be charged about 700+/- GBP. And you can basically go on a 1 week holiday there for about 150gbp total in costs for hotel/food. Oh wait... you are not in the EU anymore. Sucks to be u faggot.
Andrew Nelson
let him be your anus lion, protecting you from penetration
Julian Anderson
Tattoo artist of 12 years reporting in from the US. That would cost around 2-3 thousand USD from an artist that specializes in ultra realism. When looking through the portfolios look for black and grey work. Just because one is good at color tattoo means nothing when it comes to black and grey.
Lincoln Morales
Id say roughly around 2000$. Most shops are about 150$ an hour, but finding a specialist who knows that style of line work and shading would be a bit more. The photo you shared I would say at least 4-5 hours ATLEAST for the line work alone. And then shading. Perhaps another 3-4. Would probably be at a minimum 3 appointments.
Jeremiah Morgan
No, rather to help me penetrate some female ones. My own dont need the protection of art.
Mason Bell
Detail 2 to 3 hours up for 500 pounds
Samuel Sanders
Size wise though you want it on ribs rather than arms be double that I have a devil hunk from re plague doctor pentagram an iron cross
Colton Garcia
Just look up "realism tattoo artist" and start looking until you find one you like.
