You have astonishingly good taste but you're a bit crusty, Lifeforms is legendary but Boss Drum is comically out of place amongst those other fantastic records.

i like do make say think
you would like dadamah and blues control

think discussion is way more fun than recs but at least its not rating

tell me about lafourcade

bretty good outside of grimes

movement is underrated

thx for the recs, ill try them for sure
Have you heard Ulaan Passerine? You'd like them too

She's as good as Latin-Pop gets. She's got some god-tier songs in that album: Hasta La Raíz, Mi Lugar Favorito, Para Que Sufrir. I'd recommend her to anyone who enjoys folk pop desu.

++Hollindagain, Can, Beach Boys
+John Maus
-Weezer (not that particular album tho, just weezer in general)
Ur taste is pretty similar to mine. Three questions:
Where did you first here about John Maus?
I enjoy Hollindagain a lot but can't seem to get into Danse Manatee as much, which one do you like better?
Would I like The Cure?

Also, these two are me, dunno why I didn't respond to everyone in only one reply.

Yeah I know, Boss Drum is definitely the worst thing I heard this week. I kinda see it as a missed opportunity, it would have been cool if it was this poppy alternative/dance record with actually good top-tier acid house production, but it falls a bit flat. I guess there's always Technique that fills that niche.

>Where did you first here about John Maus?
I think i found out about John Maus on rym, some friend there rated the album highly and it had genres i liked tagged in so i decided to give it a shot and fucking loved it. I'm really hoping he puts out new material, he's also pretty wild live.

>I enjoy Hollindagain a lot but can't seem to get into Danse Manatee as much, which one do you like better?
Really? I think they both complement each other really well since they're both from the same era. I think Hollinndagain is more dynamic, i'm not sure which one i like it more, prob Danse because it has my favorite songs from that era (Meet the light child, ahh good country, essplode, the living toys), but i think they're very equally good.

>Would I like The Cure?
the album i listened to is very early Cure which is late 70s new wave/post punk, i don't think it's as solid as their later work, but it's definitely fun and poppy, if you into that kind of stuff give it a try. I would suggest trying Disintegration if you want to get the most out of Cure's work though

last.fm/user/stmilo3

sounds right square up my alley thanks

nice taste, but try to generate a little discussion going when posting your collage or there is no point in posting.

I asked you about John Maus cause I heard something about him helping Panda Bear on one his albums I think.
I don't feel they are similar at all. Hollindagain is much more frantic, closer to HCTI for me. Danse is noisy and minimal, while still having that Early-AnCo madness, but in a much more contained way. It's probably better seen in the two versions of Lablakley Dress.
i've been meaning to go into The Cure for a while. I'll get desintegration and take a listen to it.

I didn't said they're similar, i said they complement each other well, but i guess what you said is maybe the reason you don't like danse that much? i think Hollinndagain is the way it is because it is a live performance, but there's still noisy and minimal moments to be noticed, like on i see you pan and in some other music sections.
Can you confirm that about John Maus helping Panda? I'm curious now
