A normal sun is not made of lava.. End of discussion.

*centigrade
*absolute zero
noun
the lowest temperature that is theoretically possible, at which the motion of particles which constitutes heat would be minimal. It is zero on the Kelvin scale, equivalent to −273.15°C.

get fucked

a new sun made of shit will born

A star is the result of hydrogen fusion that creates denser elements through the fusion process. Stars are not consisted of molten rock (lava) they are made of hot gases that have turned into plasma. not even counting the problems of a star made out of ice you are fucking retarded kill yourself

/Thread

They would become a normal temperature dirt sun. Just like the earth or other planets.

taking the bait
>normal sun is not made of lava
>-1000°C. lowest possible temp is -273,15°C == 0 K

Depends on how hard they crash into each other.

This sounds right.

damn /thread

If two objects at x and -x celcius merge in an isolated system, what would happen tho?

dubs speaks truth

>normal sun made of lava
>cold sun made of ice
>celtigrade
>10 million pounds

This is actually fairly clever bait, I kekt. 7.5/10

Nope, based on current responses Sup Forums is apparently all people who have been here for ten minutes and not seen this before.

They would pass right through each other. The volume of our sun vs. their relatively low weight would mean that they would have ridiculously low densities and would pass right through each other without incident.

Both turn into 0 degree rocks that eventually turn into Earth

you cant have -1000celcius abs zero is -273.1

First of all, all stars are made of plasma.

Second, the Sun is roughly 5500 degrees centigrade.

In an ideal system and assuming both the exact same mass and exact same temp +temp and -temp then they would equalize and become ambient temp

...

Would their temperatures change to 0°?

What will happen to the people living in the hot sun and the cold sun.

pumb

They make hardcore intertemperature porn, and ask how ice sun dude's can compete.

You all posting in a bait thread you brainless summer faggots.

A note to all you summer fags. Anything you see here has been posted and used for many years before you where ever here. NONE of it is new and therefore NONE of you need to comment on it. Summer fags should just keep silent and observe.

...

So... you don't know the answer, but want to look smart anyways?

>ambient temp
does that mean the temp of the rest of the system? Would that be zero, if there were no other temperature to affect them?

Bump

Then it wouldn't be a sun, it'd be an ice planet, because a sun is always producing exothermic reactions. But let's say this is possible, if it were to happen the immense heat from the left sun would literally melt the entire ice "sun". Ever see ice cubes melt outside? Then the water will evaporate and as it gets closer, it'll basically have no effect on the other sun.

tasty response

Normal sun would melt ice sun to the size of a, still massive, asteroid. But not massive enough to do serious damage, sun wins.

Upon collision of the two suns, a force of twenty nine thousand gigajoules of energy is released, caused by a massive explosion. Following the laws of conservation of energy and momentum, the two suns will merge. Assuming the specific heat of water is still 4190 J/kg/K and the phase change and specific heat of ice to liquid is whatever, an obsidian sun weighing 5.29 million pounds will be formed.

>NONE of you need to comment on it
But you did. I was observing until you showed up. Either copy pasta, troll, "summerfag", or a complete idiot.

There is no such thing as zero. If there where then there would be no movement of atoms and all things in that area would be solid. As long as atoms move they generate heat and therefore as long as there is movement there can be no zero.

Did you just Minecraft?

Zero very well exists. Movement of atoms don't 100% correspond to a specific temperature. 0°C, freezing of H2O, or ice. You're telling me that shit don't exist? How about metals at 0°C? Some are still in a liquid form, thus movement is still occuring.

Not worth discussing. 10 million pounds is .005% of the size of the moon

I think he did.

they would fuck and create a temperate sun

We are talking about absolute zero. Not Zero C.Get with the program as it has changed a few times since original post.

>12 year old detected.
Obsidian isn't only in minecraft, obsidian exists in volcanic areas where lava undergoes rapid temperature change without crystallizing.

Two objects the same size as our sun, each weighing ten million pounds, would lack enough particle density to "collide". They would pass through one another with no effect, much as clouds pass through air.

celtigrade is actually the socialist heatmeasuring system

moar?

Is that why diamonds are popular in Hawaii?

arent diamonds popular everywhere? am i missing something

Absolute Zero is minus 7,000,000 celtigrade, dumbass

Mass, weight does not equal size. An object the size of the sun with only the mass of our moon would never achieve fusion and would float in water.

I can only handle so much reading at once, my autistic brain limits me. Absolute zero is only theoretical, we never attempted anything to this extent, ie., clashing two suns of either ends of extreme temperatures. Plus, in OP's post, it's stated that the right sun is -1000c celtigrade (assuming typo), so celcius, so from the beginning we already threw that absolute zero bullshit out

wouldn't the ice sun start melting before crashing from the heat?

that means it would be smaller when they collided, so you'd have a very small/weak lava sun left.

No, diamonds are made from extremely compressed carbon atoms.

it would create a black hole the size of Detroit

Still one of the hardest metals though. What is a diamond sun crashed into a lava sun?

An object with that mass would collapse on itself and ignite into a normal star through nuclear fusion.

Black holes are created when a sun dissipates all of its usable energy naturally, in this case it wouldn't happen

They'd make a fart sound no one could hear, then an alien would burst out of your chest.

But in my original statement I used Celsius, 0 degrees Celsius exists.

Hmm, good question. I would assume, even though diamond being one of the hardest metals we know of as of now, I would believe the diamonds would melt like any other metal in extreme heat, and it'll all go into the sun in extremely tiny particles, but still exist. Probably not as diamond anymore though.

water dumb ass

no its not, nothing about that picture makes any sense to anyone with even a rudimentary understanding of physics

There is no such thigs as ice sun but if you're talking about a blue sun hitting orange sun than the blue sun will burn the orange sun

PS the sun isn't made from lava but from Helium and Hydrogen

>Get with the program as it has changed a few times since original post.
OP of this here, I was speaking of Celsius the whole time as we started using +/- for x and x could there for not be Kelvin.

In a vacuum, the evaporation would yield gas and the gas would remain. Then it would be pulled into the star and likely lend some help into the fusion process, and mass at the very least.
But no ice planet could exist at that size and not have undergone fusion.

but heat is energy, and in this case -1000 + 1000 = 0
so you would have 0 energy, which equals a black hole

Would liquid diamonds put out the suns fire?

Diamonds are not metal, the diamonds would out live molten rock with no problem.

normal sun aint lava its plasma and cold suns are impossible even the black dwarfs which have been dead for a million years is still hotter than the earth

>which equals a black hole
A black hole is compressed mass, not absence of energy

So a diamond sun can beat up a lava sun.

No such thing as a cold sun dumbass. The brightness of a star comes from chemical reactions which release energy in the form of heat and light. The "cold sun" would just be a huge block of fucking ice. The lava sun would just melt it

You know, they say humans are capable of abstract thought.

Fuck yeah, that niggah is ripped, he make that lava sun his bitch in no time.

I get dubs

This whole question is wrong on so many levels that you can't answer it 2/10

It comes from fusion mostly. Hydrogen to helium, carbon, iron, all that shit.

No it isn't you colossal faggot

yeah sure, but wouldn't matter with a temperature of 0 kelvin just implode into itself
also way to many food in the captcha
