Of course I do. I listen to all kind of jazz artists. Miles Davis, John Coltrane, I could go on and on.

Yeah. Mostly Traditional Jazz and Swing cause I'm not a post-Bebop 2cool4u faggot
>cause I'm not a post-Bebop 2cool4u faggot
I mean as much as I can appreciate old time blues, Louis Armstrong, Robert Johnson, shit like that, all the interesting shit comes after the mid 50s in all honesty. Late 50s hard bop is great though, I'll give you that.
>old time blues
>Robert Johnson
Not bad taste, but that's definitely Blues, not Jazz. The two, while related, are definitely different
>Hard-Bop
I actually dig some hard-bop. but it's kind of a mixed bag
I don't disagree that mid-50's is interesting, but there's a difference between "interesting" and "enjoyable to listen to". Cool Jazz has some good stuff, Hard Bop has some decent stuff, Bossa Nova is cool, but Avant Garde/Free Jazz/Fusion just sounds like harmonic trash compactors.
Anyway, Traditional Jazz and Old Time Blues are totally different.
Suggestions: Sidney Bechet, Artie Shaw, Django Reinhardt, Pre-45 Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman.
Maybe it's just me, but I actually prefer my music to have a melody at some point
honestly i can't even appreciate memes anymore
because i know in a week this meme will be dead and we'll look back and cringe just like harambe, shrek, etc
Also adding: Nat King Trio (different than his solo work, when he was a dinging pianist) and Baby Dodds Trio (they do some pretty interesting stuff on their album Jazz a la Creole, that mixes traditional New Orleans jazz and what would later become R&B rhythms)
>but I actually prefer my music to have a melody at some point
Some people prefer texture over melody, and I'm one of them. I've heard innumerable melody combinations before, it's boring at this point. Texture is much more pleasurable and interesting to me, hence why I like jazz fusion and avant-garde jazz.
only electro-swing-jazz lol
Yeah
Ya user, I like jazz, I'm really into fusion and avant jazz more specifically.
>avant jazz
that's not very specific
avant-garde jazz, user.
Post interesting texture tunes or albums
