Yes, 1/3rd of the population smokes iirc, probably less with the new generation taken into account but still common
8 snoop for a decent box but illegals cost about 3
Poor lads down south have to pay like €11 euro for a pack so a lot of them smoke amberleaf instead

Russia

Marlboro red pack costs $2. Average price is about $1.5-2.5 for 20cig pack.
I personally smoke a local tobacco brand - "Donskoy tabak", $1.2 for 1 pack.

Chile

Yeah, but most people just smokes a cig or two with their co-workers at lunchbreak or in parties. Dedicated smokers are almost extinct.
Around CLP $4000 for a 20-pack ($6)

>so a lot of them smoke amberleaf instead
Rollies are common as fuck here too (Scotland) and Amber Leaf's probably the most common, although a lot of that's to do with the image

Aus

Not anymore, I smoked for around 8 years

less common than it was 5 years ago but still pretty normal

when I started I could get a pack of wini reds 25 pack for $10 now they're close to $30

Honestly prefer rollies meself, much stronger and taste better, only gimps actually pay for prerolled fags

Normally roll when I'm sober but I prefer American Spirit. Only get Amber Leaf if there's no American Spirit or Drum.

well, the first 4 days are a living hell and it seems impossible, yes.

having said that, quetzal sounds like an indian word for coin.
it just does.
even if it's simply the name of a bird.

I thought it was a bird snek god?

2. No. In addition to the usual reasons, a lot of my family smokes like chimneys and some of them died young for it, so I always saw it as gross.
3. Somewhat.
4. Around $6 before tax, plus fucking $2.70 in tax per pack thanks to a recent tax
that I voted in favor of.
Funland is Winland
Very occasionally (less than a pack a month)
Around 15% of the population smokes, I guess if you count people like me the number rises to like 25%. So yes.
5.50€ to 7€ for the 20 cig packs

ours don't even have the logos anymore

Same here

A bag of rollies now has 3 of the same massive warnings on it and you can't tell if it's counterfeit or not

I do smoke, but practically only "palheiros" - basically rollies on straw paper, they're sold just like cigarette packs here but usually cost a bit more (R$13.00), over double the price of cheap ones.
Supposedly smoking is less common than it used to be among the younger generation, but what seems like the vast majority of people at my uni smoke.
You can get cheap cigs for 3 or 5 bucks, Marlboros go for about 7 or 8.

Oh, I should mention, palheiros are more expensive but also kick like a mule, and generally last longer and I've been told their smell sticks to you a lot less. They're also incredibly easy to put out, often doing so by themselves, which is convenient for bus riders like me.

A pack a month maybe
Lower than most of the world thanks to snus.
Maybe 7-8 dollars? 60 SEK.

I consume about 4 cans of snus a week. Expensive habit, but I like it.

3 to 5 cigs daily.
Is not uncommon.
$2 for Lucky strike and $2.5 for Marlboros 20 pack

how do you manage to smoke that little?
do you just smoke socially/while drinking?

>useless
it's not supposed to make you stop smoking, you're already hooked, that's it.
it's supposed to prevent potential new smoker from starting.
and it actually works.

Dunno, Aus only saw a 2% or so decrease in smoking from 2012 and that'll include people stopping due to the extremely high price of it there or people just switching to smuggled tobacco

>I actually think it makes me wanna smoke less because they look so shit.

that's probably how it works

Not really. I mean yeah I do that but I like smoking alone too. I like the taste and feel but havent got a true addiction yet. Well maybe I did otherwise I wouldn't be smoking at all

Occasionally, alternate between e-cigs and buying a pack
Somewhat, depends on where you are
Depends on the state, in Illinois taxes will rape you to the point that a pack is $7-10, cheaper in Indiana

Try pic related (Balkan Star cigarettes) when you get there. They are the 'fishermans' cigs and they cost 60 rubles = $1.00.

Why don't you buy chink cigarettes? £2-£3 per pack.

About 15% of the population smokes but it's declining fast
Around $25 (Australian) for a pack of Marlboro 20s, brands like Camel and Rothmans are a bit cheaper though. Cigarette prices in Australia are the most expensive in the world.

Ire
No
Less common than it was, down to around 17.5% (2016) compared to 29% in 2010. There is a massive difference across socioeconomic divisions though, the vast majority of smokers are in the lower economic groupings.
Wouldn't know how much it costs.

Yeah, used to smoke Marlboro reds and gold, but they've gotten seriously expensive, so I buy filters, rizla and some Croatian tobacco for ~$5 and roll up to 100 cigarettes.

Smoking's really common, even with the young

Flag
