I'm here

Lloyd McNeill - Washington Suite

take it down a notch this time guys

>Lloyd McNeill - Washington Suite

Out of many meme recs I got here, yours look legit. Thank you. I will listen to it today. Seems nice.

Hope you like it bub, it's a fusion favorite of mine.

Deep breaths are healthy, snoozy. :^)

just finished reworking this. looking for damn good recs; album that will definitely wind up on my top 100 chart at some point.

Gridlock - Further

I don't recognise a single thing here.

>Lucki Eck$ - Body High
>Mixtapes - Even on the Worst Nights

>Aaron Dilloway - The Modern Jester
>Exocomet - Exocomet

>Kenny G - Breathless

>frYars - Dark Young Hearts
>Horrid Red - Celestial Joy

C'mon my love, listen to music that isn't obscure so you can integrate with the others.
The Motifs — Cross Paths
Thanksgiving — The River
You listened to much by The Microphones?
Maaaaaaate

Thank ye.

thought industry - outer space is just a martini away
aesthetic as fuck senpai

You've probably already heard it, but Jackson C. Frank - S/T
The Newfound Interest In Connecticut - Tell Me About The Long Dark Path Home

@dug are norwegians real?

>The Newfound Interest In Connecticut - Tell Me About The Long Dark Path Home
thanks senpai

I'm takin' a few.

This recc relates a lot too the deep breaths I was just taking.

Non-integration is how I get "cool" communist friends tho. :(

Take some deep breaths along to some popular music, snoozy. Let it flow. youtube.com/watch?v=L_hFrJ-FM2o

grimes is better when she sounds lets her enya influence come to the top (genesis)

ignore sounds

This sounds like it's trying to enter me into a cult.

WHY DOES THIS EXIST
I love ethereal Grimes, banger Grimes, and quirky bedroom synth Grimes. There's something for everyone and she doesn't deserve the flack she gets on here now. People are just irritated by the recent waifuism and don't give her music a chance.
Join us.

>WHY DOES THIS EXIST
Because it's good

I find it a bit frustrating, I always see the same people here yet I don't actually know any of you, what you look like and/or what you're like. All I know is your favorite albums of all time. Tell me what you're like guys.

Really nice to see your blues ended up being your favorite destroyer album. What are sone of your favorite moments?

What do you want to know?

what kind of a person you are, according to yourself

I'm not super objective so I'm not sure you'd want that perspective. But for what it's worth I'm an emotional train wreck who is trying to get by on optimism and verve alone.

I'd say it's better than the original Sorry, but Flesh Without Blood takes the cake.
I have a first level degree in professional cooking. My mother abandoned me because she sees me as her ex's kid which makes her current husband's kids more important and my father's a prick who I can't live with. You?

>I'd say it's better than the original Sorry, but Flesh Without Blood takes the cake.
I personally would say the reverse. But then the only Grimes song I ever enjoyed was Genesis.

Hey guys, I've only been listening to music "seriously" for about a year (as in anything not on the radio) and was wondering where I should go from here.

I would really like some recs, I don't know a lot of this music here but I'll try to rec what I can
Mr. Bungle or other Patton projects
Tom Waits

Pick an album or two you really like and explore deeper into its genre. Every one of those represents whole swathes of artists that have influenced or are influenced by them.

Are there any particular genres you want to move towards? Right now you're all over the place in way that makes it hard to know where to start.

Have you listened to Lonerism by Tame Impala yet? Wildflower?

Listen to Ys - Joanna Newsom
White Light from the Mouth of Infinity - Swans
See what you think and build of the discographies if yo wish.

I like you. :^)
iwrestledabearonce - It's All Happening (no, I'm not being ironic either, give it a listen)
This is good advice. Get an RYM, if you don't already, and lurk those genre charts. You gotta start somewhere.

recents

digable planets - blowout comb

>favorite moments
basically any moment with the horns
but
>YOU CAN GO YOUR OWN WAAAY
>lord knows I've been tryin
>the future's yours, no wait I lied, it is not yours, it is a replica of scattered ash and the road the rain's on
to name a few

Is that Gambino actually good? I figured it'd be shit.
Far out, man.
White Noise - An Electric Storm

yes it's the best thing he's ever put out

>>YOU CAN GO YOUR OWN WAAAY
Destroyer did a Fleetwood cover?

This man has all you need
scaruffi.com/music/best100.html
Tom Waits is p alright, check out Polvo and Unwound if you haven't yet. Alright but behave yourself with these commies
Yuh hes really good, you've listened to Half Cut by Bluetile Lounge, r-r-r-right??

I've listened to all of Tame Impala's stuff, I enjoy it all but innerspeaker is my favorite. I tried listening to swans when I first found Sup Forums and honestly disliked them a lot. Same with the animal collective album with the two blue guys on the album art. I actually asked my friend why they were just screaming and it turned out to just be a synth lol.
I'm not entirely sure. I like indie rock and hip hop a lot and would probably opt to dig deeper into that before exploring my interests in ambient stuff.
Duly noted. I think it might be time to delve deeper into things now that I've listened to a decent amount of music from different genres.

Thank you all.

>scaruffi
I'd "REEEEEEE", but it's better than turning him to Christgau.

Is the far out a bad thing?
+ thanks for rec

>indie rock
>The Keys - The Keys Album
>Victims Family - Voltage & Violets
>Bird Nest Roys - Bird Nest Roys

>hip hop
>Souls of Mischief - 93 Til Infinity
>Bahamadia - Collage
>Tab Two - Flagman Ahead

im just a madman

all great moments
>and someone's got to fall before someone goes free
>explosions want to see what they can find
>bridges made of sand are the ones in your hand

he's contantly referencing older lyrics in his songs. The delivery is even quite similar to fleetwood's
m.youtube.com/watch?v=ntQ1U_ZrqGU

Nah, it's good. I dig the psychedelics, user.
Mind if I get in on some of these too, beeper?

>Mind if I get in on some of these too, beeper?
You mean just drone what I said or do you want recs of your own.

Well, you already gave me recs and those look interesting so I might just drone. :^)
But are you an ABSOLUTE MADMAN?

I haven't listened to enough Destroyer, but this sounds interesting. I'll have to see if how good his work is for myself. I hope he's doing us Vancouver folk proud.
Further is decent. Not quite multi-dimensional enough to hold my attention, but great background music.

Would like to take psychs one day. But all my friends who do drugs just wanna smoke their shitty weed. Probably will never get the chance.
Also only get synthetic shit where I love anyway.

just do cocaine desu

I've actually only done it once and I'm currently straight edge. It's fun, but it can be dangerous.
THE ABSOLUTE...

Rate my boring entry level taste

fixed

Some of the albums are great, some are shit, the rest are snugged in the middle. Just my opinion. I'm feeling a decent to strong 5 on this chart. Keep doing what you're doing, user.

i'm with grimescuck, in general, there's a reason obscure records doesn't get as much attention as the more well known records from their respective genre. but it's still p nice when you find those hidden gems though

...

That would've totally been my chart 4 years ago. Paul Baribeau, Kids & Explosions, Weezer, Kimya.
Check The Monitor by Titus Andronicus, anything by Kid Koala, Ozma's Rock and Roll part Three and Belle & Sebastian's discography.
Add me on RYM too!

>The Upsetters

here. don't get to post on Sup Forums too much anymore so thanks for all the recs dudes.

yes I like The Glow Pt II and several of Mount Eerie's albums a lot. Never heard of the other two and excited to check them out

I'll check Kid Koala out. I know the others already (that Ozma album is way down at the bottom of my chart). I'll add you on rym but I don't use it consistently at all because rating music is way too damn hard rateyourmusic.com/~thirdwaverevival

...

>has this taste
>uses a trip

what's the point

New here.

If you liked Substance and New Order in general, try out Motorama; they sound like they ape that Joy Division tone with New Order melodies so that might be a turnoff but they scratch a very specific itch in my heart.

NICE Unisex. I never get to see it in any threads here even though it's one of my favorite indie pop records of all time.

Have you listened to the Idris Ackamoor album from this year? It's a solid take on Spiritual Jazz imo

NICE Tche Belew; if you liked that, then definitely try out Hailu's album from this year on ATFA. If you liked Conflict, check out De Frank's Psychedelic Man for sure.

rate, comment, guess, etc

Id M Theft Able - Wet Summertime Bodies
It's the similar opposite of Lungs but just as good.
Also, don't get too personal over what happens at Sup Forums :)
I don't hate you or anything like that, just in case.

I wouldn't have expected you to say something like that, baka
>there's a reason obscure records doesn't get as much attention
Financial problems, inaccessibility, location, or pure luck.

This is usually a great idea. I wish more people on Sup Forums would do what you do.

Entry-level

no
but I listened Jurassic Shift and Strangietude and didn't like it a whole lot

Sutcliffe Jügend- Masks
