I want to make one about the Australian Outback and UFOs.
James Cruz
Not aussie but try this.
Levi Richardson
I was in the last thread and I said I'd come back here if As Above So Below, or Grave Encounters sucked. Grave Encounters is as bad as AASB is good, which means it's really fucking bad. Whoever said it was decent can tongue my ass.
Grayson Morales
The girl in [REC] is such a qt patootie
Ethan Fisher
Grave Encounters is not a bad film. If you have seen dozens of found footage films, you'd know there's much worse.
Isaiah Sanchez
God damn was she hot. I've probably seen this movie like 100x by now, even if most of them were just background while working. Such a fucking cutie.
That Carpenter bitch or whatever her name is can't even compete.
I can't help but have a jerk session every fucking time I see the part where she gets dragged off and I've never done that with shit like GoT/Californication.
Tits
I feel like it's been cheapened by the sequels and American remakes, but still one of my favorites.
Jonathan Price
>another film's suck makes this film's suck not suck Kill yourself
Jose Lopez
You don't know what's bad until you've seen the worst.
Ethan Foster
you gave no argument to why grave encounters is bad in the first place
Noah Price
Have you learned nothing?
Justin Rodriguez
AASB was a real let down, and that's coming from someone who figured it was gonna be shit. Great concept and horrible execution, probably trying to jump on the Paranormal Activity train (spend 25k making a movie and make millions).
Grave Encounters 2 is far worse than 1, don't even bother, but the 1st is at least worth a watch if you hate shows like Ghost Hunters and want to see them all die.
Evan Gomez
You triggered faggots don't know what I've seen. Also, who cares what reasons I have for hating shit? I came here to berate, not argue.
Robert Kelly
That's great. You done? Most people here don't think Grave Encounters was bad.
Isaiah Baker
Currently working on a found footage script about Salem witch trials
Jaxon Reed
Nice meem
Kayden Sanders
Yeah, I'm done. I'd hate to make you cry by shitting on your pwecious wittle ghost movie.
Isaiah Hernandez
Lol why are you so angry? Just chill out and discuss found footage with us.
Xavier Ortiz
Not this user and not looking to beef here either (these threads are generally civil) but I thought grave encounters was pretty bad. I should try watching again but I remember it being dull and badly acted.
Connor Peterson
I found footage of my mom giving birth to me when I was 5. Got anything similar?
Adrian Bennett
naw aasb was great, end your life
Charles King
Grave Encounters was fun, especially whilst stoned. Drifted into insanity.
As Above so Below was fun too, found footage tomb raider basically.
Chronicle, for a non spooky found footage
Oliver Young
yeah i've got footage of me ass fucking your mom 10 min later
Blake Morris
[REC]3 girl is seriously underrated. As is the movie.
Henry Taylor
[REC] 3 is beyond shit. What good is a horror comedy that isn't horrifying or amusing.
Nathan Green
Guys grow up and just discuss found footage.
Nicholas Wright
Yeah [REC]3 girl was so fucking hot. At the end when she torn up her wedding dress, HNNNNGGGGGG
Dominic Carter
>tfw found footage is my gf's favorite type of horror movie >praying every month the new films are as good as AASB but they always end up being crap this genre is truly curse
Oliver Ward
i agree the girl was pretty hot in her torn up wedding dress
Ethan Ross
>guys grow up and discuss the fast food of horror movies
Lincoln Long
Is The Tunnel 2 ever fucking coming out? I loved the first one.
Ayden Taylor
>Oh fuck, not the woods!
Luke Sullivan
I've found footage of op prepping the bull for his wife
Julian Bennett
Gonna watch this tonight, what am I in for?
Leo Campbell
Interracial gang bangs
Owen Reyes
I saw that too. Pretty sure Grave Encounters was playing in the background.
Brody Nelson
>that awkward moment when the Paranormal Activity ripoff has the exact same production value as the real thing.
I'm not a huge found footage fan, with the exceptions I've seen being REC, Chronicle & The Poughkeepsie Tapes. But I'm in an open minded mood and would love something that would give me the creeps, especially. Problem is, I've been watching horror movies since I was 7 so I'm very, very hard to scare (That's not a brag, I hate it, it makes me feel dead inside that movies so rarely give me that visceral reaction any more) So, you're gonna have to give me your most intense suggestions. I remember The Poughkeepsie Tapes gave me the feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach, and is the only reason I remain open to watching any of these types of flicks. Nothing like Grave Encounters please, cheap jumpscares make me laugh.
Jackson Ross
Look into the August underground trilogy.
Justin White
that's just gore porn. it's not creepy at all.
there are no creepy found footage movies anymore.
Cooper Watson
>end your life Says the guy defending a movie in a found footage thread.
Tyler Reed
leave foundkino to the Norwegians
Easton Taylor
Completely legit
Luke Morales
One of the best found footage movies ever made.
Thomas Anderson
Girl was pretty hot (not better than original chick), but the movie was pretty shit. Even compared to the 4th one.
Daniel Johnson
I said I wanted horror movies, not a badly made, terribly acted gore flick for edgelords
Gabriel Johnson
oh lol I posted the wrong thing. didn't even watch it
>would love something that would give me the creeps >cheap jumpscares make me laugh.
Watch Lake Mungo
Adrian Ward
Awesome and hilarious movie. I love the recurring "trolls can smell christian blood" gag.
Robert Martinez
I heard this was shit.
Alexander Myers
>August underground
That's retard-tier gore shlock. Don't even mention that shit in here again.
Ayden Lopez
>praying every month the new films are as good as AASB Why is it that you guys are so focused on a movie that is less than 2 years old, when there are much better FF before then?
Honestly I don't think I've seen a decent FF after Paranormal fuckmyshitup Activity fucked the whole genre with cash grabs. It was (and might still be) my favorite genre, but it's so goddamn hard to find anything that's not total shit and AASB was pretty close to total shit.
Christian Bell
A good nap.
Robert King
Great movie if you don't mind subtitles. Probably in my top 5 found footage films.
Michael Walker
I laughed a lot and the ending was beautifully done imo.
Plus the found footage sequence at the beginning was genuinely interesting since very few found footage films attempt big crowds in confined spaces. The cheap "Wedding Video" effects and family interviews made it like a Dogme film.
Caleb Diaz
That's part of the troll mythology. People used to think they could smell christian blood and back then pretty much everyone was christian so you were fucked either way.
Parker Roberts
Actually pretty good. Great pacing and development, and pretty satisfying ending.
Zachary Edwards
I agree with this post.
Jace Williams
The pacing was one of its strongest points. Too many found footage movies take too long to build up and pretty much nothing happens in the first half.
Christian Johnson
For some reason there was something about this movie that kept it from being a 10 for me, but I don't know what it is exactly.
Maybe the part of the movie around the time where they were in the cave, with the farting trolls.
Jacob Adams
There's a scientific explanation for everything in the film except that, and no proof is presented. Plus it's ridiculous that he would have a bucket of christian blood. It adds another layer of comedy when you realize he's just fucking with them.
It's funny, when I first noticed it on Netflix I thought it looked lame as hell. Even when I started watching it I had my doubts, I'm not huge on subtitles. But it definitely sucks you in.
Ethan Rodriguez
They pretty much didn't give a shit about their friend dying
Aaron Bell
fucking boring
Juan Gutierrez
>mockumentarykino
Behold!
>A cameraman, Ron Kobeleski, finds out that his next-door neighbor, Walter Ohlinger, may be the much-fabled second gunman who assassinated President John F. Kennedy. At first, Kobeleski doubts the elderly man's story. But Ohlinger increasingly convinces the younger man that he was a pivotal player in one of the 20th century's most notorious crimes
John Phillips
Ive seen most of the ff movies out there?what movie is AASB?
Kayden Gray
As Above So Below: The Pest Chronicles
Zachary Cook
see
Blake Cook
I like found footage/mockumentary films like this where the camera crew is at first distant, strictly professional, but gradually become more involved in the action. I guess you could stretch this definition to fit almost all found footage stuff but it is particularly pronounced in stuff like Man Bites Dog.
Gavin Russell
those tingles at the end so relaxing
David Garcia
Yeah, it's certainly not a 10. I gave it an 8 and that's the highest I've ever given found footage. It also surprised me as a Norwegian because our movies typically aren't very good.
One thing I like about the movie is that I recognize so many of the locations because I've done a lot of road trips and mountain hikes in the area where it's filmed. Doesn't really add to the movie quality, but it's a nice bonus.
Thomas Wright
If you haven't seen Punishment Park get on that shit right now.
Evan Long
See:
Levi Green
Who /thebay/ here?
Adrian Cruz
Sounds cool. Will watch it.
Justin Brown
keep forgetting this exists. is it good? Barry Levinson doing found footage sounds fucking weird.
Caleb Campbell
Any good ones about exploring mysterious places?
This one was kinda dumb, but I enjoyed it.
Landon Carter
>tosses the weighted down body into 1 foot deep water That movie has some hysterical moments.
Chase Parker
I wish more found footage films would bother with a frame story like that of Cannibal Holocaust. Makes it more immersive and frightening when you have some context for how the footage was discovered, instead with most found footage stuff it just feels like a regular movie that was shot in the handheld style because they were too lazy to bother with cinematography.
Dominic Collins
it's one of the best and it was made way back in 1971. Spinal Tap which popularised the genre was made in '84, so that gives you an idea of how far ahead of its time it was.
Zachary Cook
Is The Blair Witch project the best found footage film of all time?
Elijah Edwards
Chernobyl Diaries will be right up your alley.
Henry Hernandez
It's definitely a dark comedy.
James Rivera
No. Despite the creepy ending the rest of the film is a chore to watch. But I guess the same could be said of most found footage.
Ryder Moore
Yeah, been meaning to watch that ever since I visited Chernobyl and Pripyat.
Gabriel Edwards
in retrospect calling spinal tap the progenitor of found footage is kinda dumb. I retract that dumb statement.
Aiden Lewis
boredom and disappointment
Bentley Wright
Well it definitely popularized the mockumentary genre.
Alexander Miller
seriously? every night scene was atmospheric as FUCK and i found myself easy to imagine myself in their shoes the sound work was just amazing
Asher Brooks
Did you watch/play/read Stalker too?
Andrew Sanchez
ATTENTION /FFG/
REMEMBER THAT WE HAVE LITERALLY Sup Forums: THE FOUND FOOTAGE MOVIE COMING SOON.
>Be My Cat: A Film for Anne is a 2015 English-language Romanian found footage horror movie directed, produced and written by Adrian Čšofei, about a young man going to shocking extremes to convince Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway to play in his film.
