Punk. A genre of music I still haven't explored. On the contrary I always try and check out electronic stuff, because I make that and always feel like I can give good feedback.

>what genres do you skip...
I dont usually skip artists by genre, but I'll skip stuff if the art is bad/just a stock photo with no treatments.
A mini album of experimental hip hop and house music. Lots of strange song structures and samples of office equipment and cooking videos.

also got an acoustic album on here
sounds real good man, you do a nice job gettin groovy and still workin in the jokey jokes i dig
What's the best song on Any Gracious Heart and why is it "I Will"?
Are you this guy?
If so, it's pretty nice. The mixing is better than average, i love the spaced out "live" sound it has, like its happening in a real place. The synths are a bit unvaried, but the composition makes up for it. You sound like you know music theory at least a little bit.
my feedback is awful i don't know why I said it was good
animalambush.bandcamp.com
>alternative rock
>acoustic
>lofi
I recorded the first two songs all in about an hour and a half so I know there are flaws but I'd like to get an idea of what you all think. Thank you. :)
Thanks Hombre! Got me smiling RN. Im Seriously digging your Sounds too! the only professional advice I feel like offering is watching those peaks when recording, and messing a bit more with EQ. Just to push that sound into being as tight as can be!

first one's basically a mixed bag of noisy industrial and dark ambient, second one's a bit poppier.
will listen to and rec/comment on albums later on
usually skip on bedroom pop or similar tags
QOTD: lofi/alex g rip offs usually, or meandering improv jams.
tinyrainbows.bandcamp.com

usually skip indie rock folk or indie pop. although I'm not averse to listening to anything really, on some level everyone deserves to have their effort acknowledged.

I don't
fuzzy bumpkins
>lofi ambient
>melancholic
>seasonal depression
Guys I'm trying to study for finals while trying to produce three different albums for three separate projects I'm working on. I feel fucking busy.
>What genres do you skip instantly when checking other artists' discography in these threads?
Anything metal, simply because it's not a genre I'm a fan of so I can't give valid feedback. Also try to avoid a lot of generic rock simply because it bores the hell out of me.
>Made entirely in MATLAB
God bless your soul. But in all seriousness this sounds fucking great. Debris In Providence is exactly what I love in noise music. Aggressive, dirty, but really textural and detailed. Fuck your bandcamp page though, what's the point of having the release on there if I can't hear or buy it? Just my thought.
Go post in the soundcloud thread man. Come back with bandcamp.
your music sucks :v)
Don't have music hosted on my bandcamp because it's mostly all on other labels. I've linked them to the other bandcamp pages, but I'll add in links to YT vids of the albums as well as mega downloads. Thanks for listening

I skip deep house
snthwvrs.bandcamp.com
>Synthwave

i tend to skip the generes i dont listen to much. most generes that fall under the umbrella of "electronic" i dont enjoy, even though in these threads ive found some real gems
i really enjoyd this. theres something that reminds me a bit of ajj in the vocal melody and the guitar bits. please do make more.
the thing with synesthesia is that even though it has pretty interesting things in regard to harmony and "bleeps" it feels like its building up to something, and when that something does come (the drums) it just feels like a new build up, this one with no pay off at all.
kinda same issue with dont you think about him, its pretty good but at the end it feels aimless

Posted my first EP yesterday, don't know how to promote my bandcamp very well, anyone have any tip?
Thanks! I'll give some feedback in a while :)
>freak folk, lofi hip hop-esque
Great album title, great album cover. Not bad 80s synthwave. I unfortunately think its hard to really set an 80s synth album apart from others. But, hey, I enjoyed it.

>Electronic, IDM

I really dig this
this is dope, not sure why no one replied, could be the low effort page lel
not really into black metal or noise but I really like the psych song, def rec this
I don't skip based on the genre
neutralitysound.bandcamp.com
>experimental rock
>instrumental rock
>downtempo
Mm I love that tone, can I ask what gear you used?
clean sound; digging silver nights
could add some dynamics to build more structure but nevertheless, good shit
It's half and half;
First 4 songs strictly electronic instruments on logic; nothing special really. The last 5 are live instruments via 16 channel board, all recorded separately.
Oh, and just using a plain korg keyboard as a midi controller
he makes noise too mane, but listenable noise

Okay. new song December 25th. it's not going to be ambient. don't really know if it's shit but that's up for you and only you, user, to decide.
do i make noise? that was really only one track and it was more to the drone side of things desu

Heavily centered around piano; planning onto moving into noise rock and post metal with future releases.
Listened to Hollow Love, very funky stuff - I like
Never knew there was a St. Petersburg in Florida, damn commies - Oxblood sounds fantastic, reminds me of Pagan's Altar. Will buy once I actually get paid
Artwork also reminds me of the Rayman games for some reason, weird.
Will check out more ITT but want to bump thread ASAP before it dies
just listened to the first song, already really like it.
Thanks very much, glad you like it!
Fuck me, Greenhorn is good - I'm not really into thrash or general stoner metal, but this and Vektor are the only releases of the genres this year that's got me excited. The jazzy/psychedelic outro to Harvestmen surprised me, too - great stuff!
Very nice stuff, is that an actual piano or is it MIDI? If it's the latter, I'd love to hear it recorded with an actual grand piano, that'd be swell. Love the distorted guitar that comes in near the end - the intro and outro is beautiful, by the way
>emailing download code
Why would you do this to us, man? Otherwise it sounds pretty trippy, I'm liking it - not too keen on the kick (is it a kick?) drum near the start being hard panned to the left; felt like my left speaker was on the fritz. Though why the silence at the end? Is it for artistic reasons or did you forget to remove it?
the silence was an accident, probably not going to change it though. I'll remove the email dl too
oh also there's no kick, the sound is the other guitar
Huh, I swear it felt that there were some really low frequency beats near the beginning there - could it be some interference or cables being cut off? It's around the 10 and 21 second mark
not sure exactly what it is but there was no drums used on that one
I'd check your guitar socket and cables if I were you, just to be sure - if there's a faulty connection it's not great if interference or breaks in connection are picked up during recording; if it makes its way into a track it gets quite distracting. Still, the rest of your track sounds fine, great job!
bumping with my take on mathrock
seaaseaa.bandcamp.com
everything seems to be fine, I think it was the mic, it's rather cheap
Not sure I like the sound of that lead synth tone; it doesn't mesh well with the backing track, also the high panning frequency does get irritating after a while. Musically, it's fine otherwise - just that lead melody needs a little work I think.
Fuck off Will Toledo
Only joking, I like the punk-esque harmony in the vocals, thought the guitars could be a little more prominent in the mix though. I'd like to keep an eye out if you release any more stuff, that was pretty neat
Oh wow, loved the glitching and distorting vocals in 'Drinking Cocktails...' - was not expecting that, I really dig that. The drums in 'Ya, Ya, I know' are a little too sibilant if I'm honest, it's pretty distracting from the subtlety of the rest of the track (if that's what you're going for) - if you weren't, perhaps it'd be beneficial to bring the synths and bass a little higher in the mix; otherwise I love the punk aspects, especially the vocals.
You already posted ITT sillybuns :^)
that's fair enough, though personally if a mic's acting up I wouldn't include that take in a recording
also checked
it must have come out in post because I don't hear it in the original recording, not sure but since it's such a little part of it I don't think I'll do anything about it.
First track in - is the guitar clipping?? If not, is it distortion? It sounds pretty uncomfortable, and not in a good lo-fi noise rock way. It's a pretty offputting introduction to the album if I'm perfectly honest
On an related note in general, why do artists chose to do the 'first played' song as like, the 10th track in the album? Surely you'd want to start at the very beginning and work your way through. Don't think that your first track is the strongest? Rearrange your track listing, put the most effective track to introduce your album first - don't just jump to the middle, it makes me think that everything before that isn't worth listening to.
>$22
top kek friend
I didn't have the time to listen to all 40 minutes, sorry mate, but from what I'm hearing it's pretty good, like the vocal samples about 9 minutes in - not sure I'd pay that much for it though, to be fair mate.
