It's shit but an alright bit of shit. Now Monaco that's some low-tier shit that I'd gladly drop to have some 3rd world place like Argentina have a GP in it's place.

Amx will win at Spa. That fucking frog faced cunt. I hate him so fucking much.

What a bully

can anyone identify this track?

me on the left walking hand in hand with my mum

are there multiple champagne suppliers?

F1 2010 had the best graphics imo.

no

gh mumm used to supply the champagne but stopped at the end of last year

chandon took over for this year and incidentally used to supply the champagne before gh mumm did, back in the 80s/90s

they have very basic lighting it seems like, could improve a lot if they get that right

Still prefer F1 Championship Edition on PS3. May be 2006 but it works.

anyone feel bad for alonso
i mean the lad didnt win a championship with ferrari for all those years
he was regarded as the best driver and is still respected but is slowly falling out of relevance with honda being absolute fucking garbage

dont get me wrong i love him and i think he is absolutely great and a funny guy to boot but i dont see him going anywhere if this honda shit doesnt pan out (which it probably wont lets be honest

#pray4alfonso

Does anyone else remember the 2006 Hungarian GP? Button's win was so historic that even Wikipedia described his drive as RELENTLESS.

It was one of the best of his many great performances, worthy of a multiple WDC driver (which Button should be IMO).

what's the screenshot from?

i think i recognise the circuit but i can't remember its name lel

Can't handle the bantz.

Reddit mods take themselves way too seriously

>reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/4sjqcw/can_we_stop_calling_lewis_chocolate_senna/

I didn't know Ted was on reddit. Good to know.

Chocolate Senna is a pretty badass meme name t-b-h. Maybe we really should stop since no one likes Hamilton.

i'm pretty sure they're paid to maintain the status quo to please marketers

everyone talks about lewis vs nico as one of the greatest rivalries in the history of the sport but it really isn't. any movie or documentary about them would require huge amounts of exaggeration of nico's abilities. he's always been a #2 driver to lewis. it's not a rivalry at all

>everyone talks about lewis vs nico as one of the greatest rivalries in the history of the sport
lolwut

no, no one fucking says this. who are you reading or listening to?

i see a lot of people comparing them to prost vs senna or lauda vs hunt but that's a fucking joke

...

I preffer poop senna

>it's not a rivalry at all
How is it not? Just because it's not the most competitive or compelling rivalry doesn't mean it's not a rivalry. It's personal, ROS very much wants to beat HAM and vice versa. Both are capable despite Lewis being much more talented and, like it or not, it's the best the sport has at the moment.

Agreed though that it's not an all-time great one like Prost/Senna, Lauda/Hunt in '76, or Piquet/Mansell at Williams '86-'87

...

>any movie or documentary about them would require huge amounts of exaggeration

What is Rush?

It's a crop of a pic I took at some local historic races this last week. Saleen S7 btw.

if it's the media saying this, they are just trying to promote the sport, create hype

if it's random people on the internet, don't listen to random people on the internet

did a fair bit of searching and couldn't find the circuit, if it's in the US at least

what state was the historic race in?

no offense to the guys who make milka but that chocolate is terrible
there is no milk chocolate that is as bland as milka

who /neet/ here
who /no gf/ here
who /hadenough/ here

cheer up la

you could be rosberg

Do you ever imagine how must it feel being a F1 driver and never accomplish anything in your whole career, not even a podium? To see race after race how the best drivers win and get podiums and world championships while you always are left out with nothing?

It must be pretty soul crushing.

at least they get a chance

WHAT THE FUCK
I HATE CODEMASTERS NOW

...

Is it only me or is this season starting to turn into 2016 all over again, just that Ferrari and Red Bull have swapped places.

JUST

>The 1985 Dutch Grand Prix
this was a pretty great race: Lauda vs. Prost vs. Senna for much of it. Not really any webm-able moments, though, as battles on Zandvoort seem to be drawn-out affairs over several laps.

but what is everyone's opinion on Zandvoort? not that I'm that familiar with it or all that knowledgeable about racing, watching a couple old grand prix on the 80s layout, but if there's one criticism it seems that the only real overtaking spot is going into Tarzan (turn 1), and if you miss that or mess that up, you have to be sure to stay close for the next lap or two to have another shot. Prost tries a couple times on Lauda into what I think is called the Marlboro chicane or Hondenviak (turn 7?), but he never really gets close.

or maybe that's a good thing? overtaking shouldn't be easy and should be a product of tactics and being more a precise and intelligent driver along with a superior car. also, i was struck with just how awful DRS would be on a track like this. it would completely kill it as every attempt into Tarzan would be more or less a sure thing. fuck DRS.

oh and the webm is a spoiler, if a 31 year old race can be spoiled that is.

Oh yeah, holy shit I loved that game.

Wish I still had a PS3.

Do you mean 2015, by any chance?

APOLOGISE

not just you

it's going to be HAM-ROS-VES the rest of the season, famm, now that Rosberg has broken

This was in Portland.
The S7 was one of the saleens that raced at le mans. It's been all around. I figure it was left there from the car's last real race. I have no idea where it was. Or it could be some track that was modified/shortened for some historic showcase.

>watching decades old races

One of the Willow Springs circuits
Called Streets of Willow or something

>that even Wikipedia described his drive as RELENTLESS.

Nice, that's it, thanks

Daily reminder that with some more luck and better career decisions Alonso could've won every title since 2005

>Win 2007 & 2008 with McLaren
>Move to Red Bull in 2009 and BTFO Webber from 2009-2013 winning every title
>Go to Mercedes in 2014 and win 2014-2015 trophies and be comfortably leading 2016 world championship

All that could apply to gimi too

did Red Bull even want him in 2009? did Mercedes consider replacing Schumi with him?

Anyways, what you are basically saying is that any driver can win the championship every year if he somehow knows beforehand which cars will be dominant and can switch teams at will?

What a worthless fucking post you made.

which pokego team are you on /f1/?
Team Instinct here

I don't know about every year, but if you put gimi, vettel, Ricciardo, amx, alonso, fatjohn, perez, and probably a few others, in the merc rides, than they'd be winning races consistently too....

>not watching decades old races

>did Red Bull even want him in 2009?

They wanted him to sign a 3 year deal starting from 2009, and approached him in '08. At the time, Red Bull were entrenched in the midfield, so he refused.

What a bunch of butthurt faggots

It's fucking reddit.

The site itself might as well be called "butthurt faggots"...

it's falling off the face of the planet anyway. too much censorship and SJW faggotry

Imagine that.

Sup Forums sucks goat ass because of the trolls and shitposting, but at least it's still a somewhat "honest" forum in that it's not filtered the way most forums are, and that seems to be a rare thing indeed these sorry days.
