Why can't I tell which Marvel movie this pic is from? Do they really all look the same, even though they have different directors, plots, etc?

Avengers

Because you're a pleb.

I have only seen it once, but that is clearly from the first Avenger movie, "battle of new york" as it's dubbed.

>Do they really all look the same

Yes. And I think the pic is from Thor 1

Because they contain the same actors, set in the same universe in generally the same costumes, you insufferable dip.

What makes you think it's the Battle of New York?

I too think it's Thor 1. Maybe Thor 2?

Most marvel movies like a TV Show

multistory building in the background

Haven't seen Thor. I just guessed

It looks like it.

>What makes you think it's the Battle of New York?
because I've watched the avengers over 500 times and I recognize the exact moment OP's image is taken from
it's after cap tells thor to use his lightening to bottleneck the portal and thor spins his hammer and flies away

>posts a pic of an actor who has been in several movies with no other characters or identifying info
>why cant i tell the difference?

youre an idiot op

Because it doesn't look like Puente Viejo or whatever the town was called where Thor regained his powers. The sky was clear while in Avengers it looked overcast. Thor only wears his armor on Earth during this battle before fighting Loki on the Bifrost and spends the whole movie in it in Avengers.

>Not as desaturated as Age of Ultron
>Department Store behind him
>Natural sunlight blocked, presumably from NY buildings
>Destroyed cars, like the in the Battle of New York
>Thor looks like he's taking a bit of a breather, suggesting the other Avengers must be around

I don't know, man. I can instantly tell this pic is from Godfather part 2, even though Pacino has been in several movies wearing suits. And it's even done by the same director of Godfather part 1. I can tell which movie it's from because of the camera position and room.

The fact those Marvel movies all take place in different cities (New York, Sokovia, that small town in Thor 1) and have different directors should make those films distinct from each other, yet they look the same.

Couldn't it be Thor 2 and couldn't he be walking towards an enemy?

All Bond movies look the same in their repsective eras too

Eat shit

Thor 2 is set in London and FantasyLand. That is not London, and nowhere had as much damage done to it as New York.

Also, Thor 2 wasn't as saturated as Avengers. There wouldn't be as much colour if it was Thor 2.

The way he's framed suggests he isn't the center of the shot, meaning cap would be standing to his right. He also wears the Avengers armor. In Thor 2, it had a golden colour scheme and a more vibrant red cape.

I can tell which movie is which just fine, don't know what you're talking about.

>The fact those Marvel movies all take place in different cities (New York, Sokovia, that small town in Thor 1) and have different directors should make those films distinct from each other, yet they look the same.

Except, everyone but you can tell the difference.

Thor 2 had a brown/gray filter, stop baiting.

god this looks stupid lol
could be from some gay porn parody and i'd believe it

This right here is why Thor 1 and GotG are in my MCU Top 5. The environments were so much diverse and actually had a little color to them. Any Marvel movie that just takes on Earth is just 90% cities and buildings with maybe the occasional field or laboratory.

>god this looks stupid lol
>god [...] looks stupid

Thor is a near-divine being with the undying loyalty and good-heartedness of a golden retriever, and has the fur to match.
If they wanted to express the character through his costume, I'd say mission accomplished.

Dark World and AoU looked a too much like Power Rangers, though. Thor 1 armor a best.

With major series like this the director doesn't have as big of an impact on the movie as the producers, so you don't really notice a director's unique style as much since they have to make it the way Disney tells them to.

I can't "instantly" tell that. Judging by Pacino's age and the general look of things, I'd be able to guess either Godfather 1 or 2 but I can't instantly tell.

is right. Posting one screenshot of a movie and saying "I can't immediately tell which movie it is, so they really must all look the same" is kind of ridiculous. Like the Pacino pic, I can guess based on the building in the background that it is a major city, and Thor being not centered means there are likely others in the shot you cropped out, so likely The Avengers.

Unless it's some super iconic shot or scene of an actor/location, and any characters in the shot aren't in some trilogy/connected universe, "instantly telling" can be difficult.

i'm hoping at least black panther will try for something different. i really want that movie to not suck and not feel the same as the other mcu flicks

Thor 2?

>Multiple posters identify the correct MCU movie - specific costume, location, filter, camera angle.
>OP still continuing with 'they all look the same' as if he wasn't already corrected by said multiple posters

Just admit you were wrong.
