Is this at all true?
Is this at all true?
The crowds at the games look very cultured and sophisticated.
The thinking mans sport. Just like how cuckolding is the thinking mans fetish.
Yes it is, Armenia, and thanks for bringing it up.
100% true.
Plebs just can't appreciate the finer things in life.
>boomerball
Can't wait for this sport to die out. Literally Propaganda game - "If you don't like Baseball you hate the US"
You're being sarcastic, but the crowds at baseball games are the least degenerate of the top 10 US sports, except golf, tennis, and possibly hockey
In terms of ho to exciting a game is these are how sports rank (Main sports only)
1. NFL
2. Hockey
3. Basketball
4. Baseball
5. Soccer
Alternatively you here are how the sports rank in terms of how smart and complex they are
1. NFL
2. Baseball
3. Hockey
4. Basketball
5. Soccer
>hockey fans are civilized
Are you literally retarded? I'm asking because I care, user. Dropped on your head as a baby? You were fed paint chips as a child? Own up, user, this is serious.
baseball is a great sport but baseball fans are fucking stupid morons
...
baseball is most popular in rural areas where football isnt popular. ever since the sabremetrics movement jews and nerds have invested into the sport but majority of baseball fans are still dumb as shit
Genuinely curious: has there ever been a single standout player in baseball, similar to the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Lebron, Jordan, Gretzky, Manning?
hockey and soccer need to be next to each other on the 'complex' list, as they are essentially the same sport, except one has a smaller arena and is played on skates.
Babe Ruth?
Barry Bonds
Plenty of them. Through out the whole history of the sport
If you are genuinely interested and don't mind watching one of the greatest sports documentaries ever made watch Ken Burns Baseball
Babe Ruth
Babe Ruth made the Yankees at one point the most popular and recognizable team in the world
There is very little downtime in Hockey. It's fast paced through out the whole game and they aren't limited to 2 substitutions. The Majority of Soccer is a slow pace game where only about 5% of it is them actually running and trying to win. I think that's what makes Hockey more exciting than Soccer.
But you are right really. Basketball needs to really be last in complexity now that I think about it
Baseball is actually more popular than it was 5 years ago.
There have been many, as the sport has been around for well over 100 years.
Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Pete Rose, Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken Jr, Ken Griffey Jr, and a juiced-up Barry Bonds, to name but the most well-known.
Very true.
Going off of this. Who do you think is the best player currently? Kershaw? Trout? Cabrera?
>Average Baseball fan
>People wearing Kings shirts
...
LA fans are bandwagoners that's why
Aren't you guys bretty good at boreball by European standards?
In the US?
Sure. Here's Michael Jordan asking Ken Griffey Jr. for an autograph.
>hurr football is gay but I'll watch juiced-up Dominicans fail to do anything for two hours
Bo Jackson
Who are you quoting?
LA sports fans genuinely like the Kings and Doyers.
The great bandwagon team here are the Lakers.
They're all white so he's right. It's science.
Also Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams
>LA sports fans genuinely like the Kings
you mean the team that never sold out a game until they won the stanley cup? They're worse than Blackhawk fans. At least they can say their owner was fucking them out of popularity.
Mike Trout
only our Caribbean islanders play it
Baseball is only "boring" because of the long regular season that creates the perception of meaningless games.
So for a new fan, tuning in and watching a Brewers vs. Padres game in June, with a dead crowd is going to be a boring event.
Playoff baseball is incredible, though.

No clock. No possession change after a score. Anything is possible at any time.
Mickey Kaline
Baseball needs a long season because in order for your team to reach the playoffs they need to play consistently good and win a majority of 162 games over the course of what 6 months? That's tough to do
And playoff baseball is indeed exciting.
whats up with your flag mate
The regular season is absurdly long, it should be cut in half so people actually care about the games.
Cut in half? No. the season wouldn't even last the summer in that case
Maybe cut 10 games at the most. So there are more days off during road trips and teams dont have to go multiple 15-20 game stretches where they don't get a day off
