good fun imho tbqh senpai

you already posted it

Tales from the Crypt
Are You Afraid of the Dark
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Goosebumps
Eerie Indiana

These were the only spooky shows. Although Courage was more goofy than it was spooky.

tales

The episode where subhuman Mexican redditors make a nostalgia thread for upvotes.

I'm partial to Goosebumps since that's what I watched as a kid because my family didn't have cable in the 90s.

twilight zone

X-Files

Does anybody recall Beyond Belief fact or fiction? I think it was on Fox. They told 3 stories and you had to guess the true one. They had a story about a little boy disappearing in his closest never to be found and that story turned out to be true. Scared me for life.

There's an episode playing in about an hour and a half or so on

Thanks user.

this by a country mile

why did all these shows have such comfy spooky themes compared to today's shows?

Because TV shows nowadays try way too hard to be "cinematic" and appeal to everyone instead of just staying true to one concept and being niche. Also modern audiences can't handle tongue-in-cheek for some reason

bump

tales was better in the 80s tho senpai

Too bad nothing will be as spooky as this guy.
