Blowout is one of the best Radiohead songs of all time

Blowout is one of the best Radiohead songs of all time.

Agreed

Top 20

Pablo Honey is definitely not Radiohead's worst album. I'm tired of dumb ass millennials coming on here and claiming that Amnesiac was the best thing to happen to music since the Beatles.

Stop Whispering and Creep are the only songs in the album I like

Creep over You or Blow out.

>defending Pablo Honey
Even Radiohead themselves regard this album/era as the most embarrassing. Hail to the thief was pretty bad too but there are enough good ones on it to make it better than PH

>Even Radiohead themselves regard this album/era as the most embarrassing.

That's not a valid criticism. One of the founding Beach Boys doesnt like Pet Sounds. John Lennon didnt like the Abbey Road medley. What does any of it mean?

Almost like music/art is subjective?!!??!

Yes, but one could express their opinion without refering to "sources".

>the hair
>the boring lyrics
>the nirvana wannabe aesthetic
>thinking about you
>how do you?
>anyone can play guitar mtv beach house
>ripcord
>the ugly album cover
>Creep is just a hollies song, they literally lost a lawsuit over it
>Underdeveloped vocals
>Bass parts a five-year-old could play
>wonderwall-tier guitar parts
>generic grunge rock at best
>its literally about masturbating yourself to sleep almost 90% of the time
>it feels like masturbating yourself to sleep 100% of the time
>the fucking album cover
im sorry but if you think pablo honey was anything but a blunderous first step you have bad taste

When you're ready to make actual arguments about the song structures, production, or the influence it had and it being the only reason record labels decided to keep Radiohead around, I'll be here.

ok well
it influenced nothing
its generic
the creep EP alone could have kept radiohead around, pablo honey the album was shitty and should have been dropped
the jump from pablo honey to the my iron lung EP alone should be proof enough that this is shitty
>it kept them around
creep kept them around, not pablo honey

Definitely

Vegetable and Ripcord too

>he thinks Hail to the Thief is bad
I think you mean AMSP user.

>he thinks AMSP is bad
the only bad Radiohead album is Pablo Honey desu

>the gloaming
>sit down stand up
>myxomatosis
>we suck young blood
>punch up at a wedding
>flan in the face
>the raindrops x100
sorry but i mean hail to the thief

>He thinks AMSP is bad

All of those songs are good, what's your point?

they're not good they're the worst on the album
oh i forgot
PEEN ATTENTION
PEEN ATTENTION
NNNYEEEEVE NAT BEEN
PEEN ATTENTION
PEEN ATTENTION
NEEEEYYYYEEEEVE NAT BEEN

It's no their worst anymore now that AMSP exists

>repeating lyrics means the song is bad
are you dumb

pablo honey deserves an 8/10 for what it is.

no its the way he sings them
what, like you enjoy his voice in that part of the song?

*teleports behind you*

>you enjoy his voice in that part of the song?
yes
that part is amazing

pet sounds belongs to brian wilson though

i'm not sure i'd go that far but i'm finding that i'm disliking amsp more and more as time goes on. it's just so unenergetic... the production really annoys me too. way too much autotune on ol thom

ok look there are good songs on hail to the thief but there are also bad ones and they ruin the album for me

I really like the album but that's fair

whats your favorite radiohead album

Amnesiac

shit same
glad we can agree on that

Hi Scaruffi

>flan in the face
I understand how people not like the others but this one?

Its one of their best songs in general.

this guy gets it
same reason i hate it, its boring and true love waits is shite compared to the acoustic one

i kinda adore the mtv beach house performance
the angst seeping off thom as he screams the jim morrison verse

the thread kinda got sidetracked into talking about the album in general but i totally agree, blow out is super underrated

please show me a five year old that can play the bass part from anyone can play guitar
explain how the guitar parts from that same song, or you, or blow out, are "wonderwall-tier"

>taking a figure of speech literally
they're wonderwall-tier because they're really simple
there's like 3 chords in blow out
probably the same for You
anyone can play guitar is the one exception song that has a somewhat complex baseline although its really altogether pretty simple

>one of the best best radiohead songs
>of all time
