They had to make some kind of a statement like this user. Otherwise it wouldn't have been allowed to be released.

Fucking cucks, back to your shithole

I liked the stone-cold Russian general

Has anyone seen the sequel?

Even through the movie didn't show that much battle, what it did show was absolutely GOAT spectacle.

That scene with them dumping the documents is pure kino.

I don't care to understand Sup Forums's unhealthy obsession with this guy.

this movie was great

The film portrayal of Magda is not wrong, but you need some background on her.

Magda Goebbels was quite a charming and sad woman. Constantly cheated on her own mother hated her she once loved the nephew of Herbert Hoover who in turn nearly killed her in a car accident and even fell for a Jew.

...and then she developed Trigeminal Neuralgia

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigeminal_neuralgia

Before she was virtually paralyzed by the illness, she was working in a radio manufacturing plant, foregoing an SS escort and personal car instead taking the bus with the other women. As the years went by she was steadily vocal about her growing anti-war position. When she got sick, she just sort of lost herself to it and ended up in a state of mental collapse by the beginning of 1945 she had nothing left but the Party.

>killed himself, wife and 6 kids the day after Hitler
>not a lunatic

My beloved son,

By now we have been in the Führerbunker for six days already — daddy, your six little siblings and I, for the sake of giving our national socialistic lives the only possible honorable end.

You shall know that I stayed here against daddy's will, and that even on last Sunday the Führer wanted to help me to get out. You know your mother — we have the same blood, for me there was no wavering.

Our glorious idea is ruined and with it everything beautiful and marvelous that I have known in my life. The world that comes after the Führer and national socialism is not any longer worth living in and therefore I took the children with me, for they are too good for the life that would follow, and a merciful God will understand me when I will give them salvation.

You will live and I ask only one thing form you, that you never ever forget you are a German, never do against your honor, and through your life, see that our deaths won't be in vain.

The children are wonderful ... there never is a word of complaint nor crying. The explosions above are shaking the bunker. The elder kids cover the younger ones, their presence is a blessing and they are making the Führer smile once in a while.

Last night, the Führer took off his golden party pin and pinned it to me. I am proud and happy.

May God help that I have the strength to perform the last and hardest task. We only have one goal left: loyalty to the Führer even in death and to be able to end our lives with him is an honor.

Harald, my dear son — I want to give you what I learned in life: Be loyal! Loyal to yourself, loyal to the German people and loyal to your fatherland. Be proud of us and try to keep us in dear memory...

My dear son, live for Germany.

Your Mother

>God life must have sucked for Harald Quandt

Joseph Goebbels, on the other hand was fucking delusional since the start of the war. It was he who weaponized Hitler's hatred of the Jews, and it was he who convinced Hitler to engage the Soviets in war.

>God life must have sucked for Harald Quandt
Nah, he actually did alright. To bad he died so young, in a flight accident

Well yeah inheriting billions of dollars is awesome, but losing your mom and siblings like that...

well, stepsiblings
and his mommy was a goner, either way

that's some fucked up shit right there

Goebbels was a 5'4" manlet, not even kidding.

I wish there were movies where Nazis are portrayed In a positive light.

man in the high castle

lmao

can you imagine being that short?

Yea, but it's
1) science-fiction
2) A pretty lame series

>willing to systematically kill off large portion of own population for any reason

>not insane

the correct thing for him to do was to slowl turn Germany into an economic powerhouse and a european leader that will dictate regional policy all the while slowly enacting laws which would prohibit certain undesirable elements from mingling with your chosen class.

Notice how the western powers were totally fine with him doing all sorts of weirdo social planning projects until he started to annex territory after territory with no end in sight.

You just have to know when to stop and consolidate power and not go overboard.

My guess is, he knew he didn't had much time left (parkinsons), and he didn't trust any of his people enough to be the next führer, so he rushed his plans

Well, how would you feel in a situation where you have lived in one system for all of your life (e.g. Western capitalism) and you are about to be invaded and taken over by a military force that has a detrimental ideology (e.g. hardcore islamists!

Pretty good film as humanising somebody who committed such crimes against humanity but I don't understand how people can be obsessed with Hitler and Nazism in this day and age, you kids don't even know you were born into privilege and a comfy first world and just trying to rebel if you think for one minute Hitler was a good guy.
I mean yeah, Hitler needed a hug in this film but damn, that just means they made a good film but you can't sympathise with Nazis just because of that.

I think the problem is that people today are raised with this horribly simplistic propaganda version of WW2 where the allies were 100% good and the axis 100% evil no exceptions so then when they grow up and find out about how amoral the allies actually were in that war (the area bombing campaign and allying with Stalin for instance) it just sort of shatters their view of the conflict and can lead them to all kinds of crazy places.

>falling for muh 6 million

they poisoned their kids

yes, they should have done the right thing and let them get gang raped by Russians and then murdered, right?

Hitler wasn't a "good guy' but his only sin was that he lost. Doubly by giving Jews a reason to guilt trip the entire Western world. What he done, had been done before by the Spanish, French and British Empires. All memorialized under glorious Imperialism. Hitler lucked out by picking on Jews too hard but not finishing the job. Jews control the media and made him a monster for their purposes.

They should've evacuated them from the bunker like the fuhrer wanted them to be, god how can you be less humane then fucking Hitler?

It was more humane, the Russians were animals when they took over Berlin. Himmler was captured trying to escape, and these kids would be too.

Also, go back to r*ddit if you think Hitler did anything worse than Patton, Churchill or Stalin.

>It was more humane
It was more humane to kill them then to allow them to escape to the west and maybe lead normal lives after the war? Did you even read my post?

>Also, go back to r*ddit if you think Hitler did anything worse than Patton, Churchill or Stalin.
I'll give you Stalin and maybe Churchill but what in the hell did Patton ever do that was so terrible? He was just a general he wasn't a political leader.

They probably would have been captured and raped to death by russians. Poisoning them in their sleep was far more humane.

>I'll give you Stalin and maybe Churchill but what in the hell did Patton ever do that was so terrible? He was just a general he wasn't a political leader.

I made a mistake, I meant Eisenhower. He starved 1.7 million German POWs to death in an American concentration camp. He purposefully changed their status from POWs to 'unarmed combatants' so he wouldn't have to feed them.

Friendly reminder no one was ever tried for by-the-book act of genocide in Hiroshima/Nagasaki (as defined in 1945 on which accounts the Nazis were tried).

>Allies dindu nuffin

Ehhh...No he did not.
Are you citing James Bacque? That book has been debunked very many times.
Ike did how ever change the supply priorities for the RedCross and their distribution of food parcels for the German population during the time 1945-1946 due to a fear of famine. The food was distributed to displaced persons over POW. In a time of food shortage, priotities must be made.

>film portrays human side of Hitler
The film portrayed him a mentally ill idiot who was out of touch with reality.

The Danes permitted the death of 2000 German children during the winter of 1945/46 through starvation and disease.

Everyone was a bastard in that era.

TRUST A DANE, FEEL THE PAIN!

>turn country into a puppet state
>w-why are they mean to us?!

not surprising some people sympathize with that

So sort of like Forest Gump ?

yeah, but the ending is great

>Spend the first 3 years of war living comfortably by surrendering after an hour
>Spend the next two years in slight hardship compared to the rest of occupied territory and better off compared to Germany herself and the Dane lose their shit.

I'm not saying this out of spite to Danes. My Dane Grandfather told me this after living in occupation. When he traveled all over western Europe shortly after the war, he confessed himself to be embarrassed to be a Dane.

The Russians would've done horrific things to him his wife and his children and then still killed them. Any sane person would've done the same.

Her illness wasn't a terminal sort of illness. It's a pinching of a nerve in her face that is considered one of the most brutal pains a person can endure; it leads to pain induced mental instability and quite often suicide.

...

? what does that stand for?

oh fuck do we have a new bot made by our resident fat piece of shit pedophile?

the scene where they recreated the scene from der untergang was fucking hilarious

That's accurate tho.

Hitler wasn't as bad as he's usually portrayed but Goebbels and Himler were fucking insane. Some of the Nazis were actually good.

>you will never live in a world were Rommel overthrew Hitler, became Kaizer, won the war, and ruled a glorious thousand year Reich

The guy who played Goebbels was ugly as sin which is unfair since the real Goebbels wasn't all that bad looking.

He was nicknamed "Skeletor".

The actor or the real Goebbels?

source

...

Nah he looked pretty bad most of the time

>there are people who unironically fell for the holocaust meme

All the Anglos hate this badass motherfucker

>putting manlets in charge of anything
>ever

Wrong thread

Talk shit
Get shit
Based slavs

Does it portray Himmler at all?
He was legit crazy.

And a literal cripple.

He's at Hitler's B-day bash. As soon as Hitler leaves, Himmler's in the first Limo out of Berlin.

are there any good movies on Rommel?

>yet another japanese war crime denial thread

The movie took a lot of liberties. In the original manga Hitler was a French exchange student in modern day Japan, and he had a funky moustache. Hollywood just doesn't know how to adapt manga.
