thanks christgau

It's a masterpiece. Careful with edges user

Moonchild is inexcusable. Just because something is improvised doesn't mean it's good. The longest track on this album is filler. If Moonchild was good this album could be a 10/10. People have deluded themselves into excusing this track because the rest of the album is so good but Moonchild is irredemable.

THE SINGER IS DEAD

>he doesn't listen to free improv
Well, you basically just invalidated your own opinion there, bud.

holy shit did you really just namedrop a fucking genre

I agree.

Prog is fucking terrible overall, and even the best album of the genre (this one) isn't even that good.

>Prog is fucking terrible overall
opinion disregarded

I don't mind improvization. This was just a poor execution of improvization. Seems like this track is immune to criticism because it's improvised. They should have played to their strengths. The rest of the album is highly composed so the inclusion of this one improvised track kills the conceptual cohesion of the album. If they were that interested in the idea of improvization they should have developed the concept more and released a later album dedicated to improv. As it stands now the track is inexcusable filler.

>inexcuseable filler
You do realise that only half the track is free improv, right? Apart from that, it's one of the best moments on the album. I bet you think The Bark and Below it is a filler track too, don't you?

>it listens to grimes
Well, you basically just invalidated your own opinion there, bud.

>even the best album of the genre (this one)
Opinion discarded

I think he did.

It is the best in its genre though.
>inb4 some Italian symphonic avant-prog album
