Is committing Sudoku part of Japanese religion?
I'm just wondering because my cousin told me that the Japanese used to commit Sudoku if they failed at something and that it was part of their religious beliefs but I think that they still commit Sudoku now because they have such high suicide rates.

Korea is the worst right now, they're like stereotypical Japanese work ethic on steroids.
Koreans make Japanese look lazy; they work over 50hrs a week typically, wake up go to work then come home sleep literally. Their labor laws are taken as a joke and their high schools are probably the most brutal in a developing nation right now.

Guyana is pretty high I think, in terms of suicide rate. I think it's because they all get fucked up on dodgy drugs and pesticides.
Plus, I think a lot of suicides in Korea are from older people. Like in india, younger generation koreans are obliged and expected to look after their parents/grandparents... I guess the older people are trying to ease the burden for their kids/grandkids, maybe?

Most likely. I have a friend from Korea who says there's no care for disabled people, so when they get older and start to have health problems they might do that so they don't drain their (typically married) children financially

Yeah. A huge part of suicides in Korea are attributede to the elderly. I had to experience it first hand ( I'm Korean). Also, it doesnt help that Korea has a piss poor excuse for a senior welfare which is really sad considering Korea is arguably the most developed Asian country.

Sudoku is outdated. As there's no Samurai caste anymore, they don't do it. They commit Bukkake instead, which is pretty much the same, except commoners can do it too.
