I'm Eric Taxxon.

>What genre is your music?
Various. Mostly ambient/experimental soft music

>How many aIbums have you reIeased on here?
Eight albums, two EPs. Soon to be nine.

>ls your pricing set by you, or do you Iet the Iistener choose their own price?
Choose your own price. I'm switching to paid-only when I'm getting hundreds of downloads for each album. (which won't happen)

>How many albums have you sold?
Hard to say, because I'm on an unofficial netlabel. Not many though.

>How much has it made you in saIes so far?
Like twenty dollars

>How many fans has it gained you on sociaI media pIatforms you use?
No thanks.

>Do you use any other sites to reIease your music on?
I upload my albums to youtube too.

>Has your success on Band Camp brought you any other work in Iive shows, coIIaborations, etc?
Collaborations yes, I've made some great musician friends.

>What genre is your music?
Lots, I run a label.

>How many albums have you released on here?
13

>Is the pricing set by you?
Its pay what you want for digital, tapes are always five. Been seeing a bunch of labels bump up their tape prices to seven or eight bucks lately, fuck that.

>Has your success on Band Camp brought you any other work in Iive shows, coIIaborations, etc?
We have house shows once or twice a month.

1st EP. Enjoy.

>What genre is your music?

I don't actually know, but I like to call it Minimal Stuff, for technical purposes.

>How many aIbums have you reIeased on here?

Just an EP, not trying to make too much all of a sudden

>ls your pricing set by you, or do you Iet the Iistener choose their own price?

The second one. I think it works better than setting a price.

>How many aIbums have you soId?

None. :c

>How many individuaI songs have you soId?

None, I guess, not actually sure.

>How much has it made you in saIes so far?

None, again. Btw, I'm not here for money, so...

>How many fans has it gained you on sociaI media pIatforms you use?

Two or three. It's good enough to keep the indie behavior.

>Do you use any other sites to reIease your music on?

Soundcloud and YouTube.

>Has your success on Band Camp brought you any other work in Iive shows, coIIaborations, etc?

No, I'm just starting thought.

>Eight albums, two EPs. Soon to be nine.

How much professionaI mixing / mastering have you paid for each aIbum? Do you have them done in-person or do you send them off digitaIIy (if you don't do them yourseIf)?

Have you tried getting on any IabeIs with them or do you choose to continue independent?

>One, my band´s debut album. But Bandcamp isn´t the only platform, it is also available on spotify, youtube and in some stores.
>Since I spent a good deal of money and time producing the album, I charge 7€ for the digital download, and 10€ for the physical format (I had an artist from Porto design the front, back and interior, and it really adds up to the final product). The 2 singles, however, are free for downloading
>On Bandcamp we only sold 1 album; in physical format I think we sold like 70 so far
>7(?)
>Hmm, like 400€
>Not sure, but very few. fewer than 10
>Youtube, Spotify and Bandcamp
>Nope

I have discovered some interesting stuff on Bandcamp, but it is rare. Maybe I´m being a bit harsh, but 75% of the stuff I´ve come across on Bandcamp threads or Bandcamp in general is amateur, crap, or amateur crap.

Out of curiosity, if anyone wants to check out my band, this is the link to our bandcamp page: ditchdays.bandcamp.com/album/liquid-springs

I mix and master my albums myself, I don't feel like hiring someone to do it for me. Downside is my albums are mixed like shit but them's the rub.

Haven't tried to get on a label, haven't felt the need to. I never want my release dates delayed more than they are with my contract-less netlabels.

Name one artist that has ever made it big who started out using Band Camp.

>What genre is your music?
noise music, music with noise, occasionally noiseless music
whatever comes to my mind from drone/noise to trip hop and folk rock, mainly instrumentals
>How many aIbums have you reIeased on here?
15 EP/LP as Gub, 5 noise albums as Shum, and several shitty covers and drafts that are available but I don't consider "official". My BC page is a mess.
>ls your pricing set by you, or do you Iet the Iistener choose their own price?
Recording costs nothing for me, so I'll just let the listener choose the price

10 purchases so far I think

Why would someone pay for individual songs if the whole album's free?

>Do you use any other sites to reIease your music on?

>Has your success on Band Camp brought you any other work in Iive shows, coIIaborations, etc?
Some people in the Hungarian noise scene recognised the Shum albums, and I make splits with other noisemakers every onceinawhile, but that's all.

Not even close.

No, he took some instrumental beats from a project some guy was pitching (the project named "the weekend") to people in the hip hop scene, and he free-styled over them. They disagreed on what the album would be but he kept the 3 instrumentals.

He posted them on the net (without crediting the instrumental producer) and Aubrey Grahm put them on his blog where people noticed him and offered label deals.

Do some research on it, his story is fucking crazy. He's actually from Ethiopia and started doing lines and partying at age 11.

Didn't he basically just invite himself to hang around where successful artists were, then get busted for using other people's songs and melodies?

There were a bunch of threads on here when that happened. Not a fan of the guy so don't know much more than that, but from the threads that were posted on here it doesn't seem like he made it big rather than gave stoners something to talk about for a couple of weeks.

What?

yeah, a label on the internet

I'm the producer in a producer-artist duo called E2ME (Earth 2 Mars Expressway). Our projects are meant to play into and represent the downsides of human nature.

e2me.bandcamp.com/releases

>What genre is your music?
Trip-hop, experimental, jazz, electronica, some acoustic elements. Our first project is a bit incoherent genre-wise though, it's supposed to give the listener more of a taste of everything while still having a loose narrative. All future projects should be more coherent sonic-wise.

>How many aIbums have you reIeased on here?
One, though we consider it a tape, it is refined much like an album. We're working on a second right now.

>ls your pricing set by you, or do you Iet the Iistener choose their own price?
Nothing on Bandcamp specifically. That's mostly because there are some uncleared samples on our first project. For future projects though, choose your own price seems the best way to go.

>How many aIbums have you soId?
Ten or eleven irl, none on Bandcamp.

>How many individuaI songs have you soId?
None at the moment.

>How much has it made you in saIes so far?
Maybe forty dollars, lol.

>How many fans has it gained you on sociaI media pIatforms you use?
I'd say around 10-15.

>Do you use any other sites to reIease your music on?
We've used Datpiff and Soundcloud, but eh. Not near as many options.

>Has your success on Band Camp brought you any other work in Iive shows, coIIaborations, etc?
We've collaborated with some other small artists. As said previously though, we only have one project together so admittedly, there's a lot of room to grow. I think once we have a good two or three projects under our belt, we'll be more interested in shows and signing to a label, but as of now there's not enough material to warrant it.

Thanks!

>What genre is your music?
It varies. really kind of its own style

>How many albums have you released on here?
About 5 and a half

>ls your pricing set by you, or do you Iet the Iistener choose their own price?
I let the listener choose their own price in the past but now i sell them at around 5 - 7 dollars
