73-9 3-1

Eh, GS was against Lebron, probably one of the greatest to ever play the game.

The Pats were against Eli Manning.

way worse considering it was a series

Rigged sports don't count

1 game vs a series though

It's more like Brady was against that awesome D-line. The Giants weren't some retarded flukey team that everyone thinks they were.

And yeah, I'd say GSW/CLE was a worse choke considering they were up 3 games to 1.

>these 12 year olds unironically believing there are upsets in nigrigball
>thinking that any upsets compare to the one that created this board

No, there were already massive cracks in Golden State after some of their guys got injured in the first 2 rounds and the whole mantra of live and die by the 3 finally bit them in the ass. Plus they should have been knocked out in the conference championships if the Thunders didn't outchoke them.

Pat fags attempting damage control and deflecting. How Brady's playbook is 80% just spamning short and screens 2 seconds after getting the ball, you could compile the best D-line of all time and it wouldn't matter. it's a solid secondary that can shut down the Pacheariot receivers for those few first seconds that is necessary to really expose the system baby Brady is and watch him implode because now the pass rush can apply pressure onto him because he has to hold onto the ball to look for an open man. Same thing happened during the Bronco's game last year until their secondary got banged up in the second half to where Brady could start spamming again.

Now that that lie is covered, the Giants were not this super juggernaut team that somehow flew under the radar. They were statistically the worst team EVER to reach the super bowl against what was arguably the best team ever. You can't even make that comparison with Golden State because Lebron dominated both sides statistically.

The other big thing is Golden State dropping 3 games in a row. series live and die by momentum where when on team gets hot, they can take advantage of it and power ahead while the losing team starts to second guess itself and put all the pressure on them even if they have the series lead. 1 and done games are the opposite where it's all on the line right there so you have to give it your all.

And the Patriots got humiliated while being on the cusp of immortality. And 18-1 isn't even impressive either because the 85' Bears were 18-1, the difference was they won the Superb Owl, against the Patriots.

This is such revisionist history I should stop replying to posts like these

The Giants almost beat the Pats at home 4 weeks earlier

The Giants beat a 13-3 Dallas team in Dallas in January
The Giants beat a 13-3 Brett Favre Packers team in Green Bay in January

They earned making it that far, stop pretending they were complete trash in an effort to discredit the Pats

giants fell apart in the fourth quarter of that week 17 game, all they did was make the Pats nervous before they figured out a way to put it in the bag.

Nope, not even when your mom choked on my dick last night

Doesn't mean anything, the point is that no NFL team will win 100 times out of 100 against any other team

The 2001 Rams should have annihilated the Patriots but lost by 3 points

>8 years later
>still this mad

Why are you in a woman's prison?

Anyway, enjoy your STDs.

>Playing against noted playoff choke artist Tony Romo
>Playing against 'throw the ball the distance of the field, who cares how many int I get?' Brett Farve.
Oh, such a hard task.

To be fair, the Patriots were cheating in those games.

Curry was also pretty clearly not 100% because of injuries, despite whatever he and the media said.

1st seed Spurs losing to the 8th seed Memphis is an underrated choke job

18-1 or 2nd-and-Goal

One was a terrific upset and the other was the most pathetic choke, both fueled by an organizations belief that they were immortal

Warriors this year

18-1 was the greatest upset in modern sports history and the greatest choke job too.

Lmfao Patriot Hater

4 rings bb

Okay Patriot Hater

Losing one game is nearly as bad as losing having a 3-1 and only needing to win 1 more game out of only 3 remaining games

Samefagging so hard

>series live and die by momentum where when on team gets hot, they can take advantage of it and power ahead while the losing team starts to second guess itself and put all the pressure on them even if they have the series lead. 1 and done games are the opposite where it's all on the line right there so you have to give it your all.

I have never played sports: The Post

If you read about that SB week it sheds a lot of light on that game. The Patriots players were completely unfocused and too lax, Belichik made them do an entire practice over back to back b/c they were all goofing off so much.

I think the Giants are severely underrated, but there is no doubt that the Patriots got away from what they built their earlier success on and choked away history.

7-1

Golden State was also on the cusp of immortality on 3 separate occasions, twice on their own home court (supposedly the best home court advantage ever) and failed miserably in all of them. It literally doesn't even compare

Golden State this year. 73-9 going up 3-1 in a series to win the title and become the greatest team ever, with TWO home games left to play, is worse than losing a one-game playoff in my opinion.

The 2004 ALCS is up there too because blowing a 3-0 lead in a series never happened in baseball, but there was less riding on it.

That's not a choke. That was a complete and thorough humiliation.

You see. In order for something to be a choke, a team would be expected to win, only to fail miserably.

18-1 and 73-9 (3-1) were clear cut examples.

that suspension was bs tbqh and the injury was unfortunate

2004 ALCS

42-1

(and 7 draws)

2004 ALCS was terrible. If it was for the WS it would definitely be #1. 18-1 just barely beats it, I think.

Nothing will ever top the humiliating choke of 18-1. Sorry. It's the truth.

17 seconds

They went 13-3, how does that make them shit?

The golden state choke job was way worse

7 game series are lesser chokes

sometimes teams get hot and teams get cold. we've seen teams come back from 3-0 it's rare but it happens. momentum and injuries are very real throughout a series

but 18-1 is ONE game. just ONE game you have to show up for, just ONE. brady bragging about "we're only going to score 17 points?"

maximum kek

teams come back from 3-0 consistently in meme sports like hockey. it has happened once in baseball and never in basketball. only 12 teams prior had come back from 3-1 in the history of the NBA. It is still literally not comparable

GSW was a bigger choke, basketball is a game where its much harder to pull off an upset because of the high scoring and playing multiple games. On the other hand its much easier to see an upset in football - one mistake could be crucial. Think of how many upsets happen in football vs basketball. Anyone who cant see this is an asshurt Cuckfornian. The only argument you can make against 18-1 being worse is that they were way more cocky and had more hype.

This, Pats lost on a meme miracle play, Golden State collapsed for 3 straight fucking games
A lot of people on here hate Brady so they don't want to admit it, but 73-9 3-1 is way worse

Warriors shouldn't even have been in the Finals.

The Spurs were totally jobbed by Silver. They were the better playoff team.

>7 game series are lesser chokes
there is no way this makes sense at all

7 games are bigger chokes because they have more chances to prove they're the better and overcome fluke losses.

Inferior teams beat better teams in football all the time

>miracle meme play
>dismisses the fact that Brady had 30 seconds to play with three timeouts
18-1 was a much more bigger choke. Niggerhoop fans just trying to make their sports more relevant

"no"

2004 ALCS Yankees had two games at home with a chance to close it out, not to mention they had the best closer in the game with the lead in game 4 and choked hard.

>"no"
i should be saying that to you faggot.

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Emirates_Cup

>one game
>versus being up 3-1 in a seven game series with TWO home games left to play
"no"

>7 game series are lesser chokes
This makes no sense at all. One game playoff means a fluke loss can happen, because a better team does not win a game 100% of the time. In a seven game series the better team is always supposed to win. That's why it's only happened once in baseball (2004 ALCS) and has never happened in basketball.

>Game 6 to lose a series when you're already down 3-2
>Bigger than 18-1, 2004 ALCS, the Warriors, ANY major soccer choke, or the Kings beating the Sharks after being down 0-3 in the series
"no"

>Curry injured
>Dray suspended
>Bogut injured
>Iguodala injured

Cleveland fags make me so mad, holy shit. Stop being butthurt just because your shit disgusting city will never be the bay.

> 7 games are bigger chokes because they have more chances to prove they're the better and overcome fluke losses.

so that means they're not the better team when a team loses? obviously we call them chokes but it's just losing games in a row. 7 games compared to 1 game is a trend. football would be amazing even with 3 games series or even a superb owl but the players would all be dead

teams "choking" 7 game series are just signs of overlooked trends. let's not forget that teams can sometimes go up in a series due to refball or memes as well

>this entire post

>making excuses.

its sports, everyone plays injured, they lost. Its the most embarrassing loss I'v ever seen. accept it retard.

Teams don't lose when they're up 3-0 or 3-1 in baseball or basketball. It is absolutely a choke to lose when you are in that position.

You just admited they played injured, so it can't be the "most embarrassing loss".

>Dray suspended

i like how gsw fans try and paint this suspension as some sort of travesty when he was acting like a baboon the entirety of the playoffs mashing everyone's balls at every opportunity and should have been suspended for the okc series but wasn't because gsw was facing elimination and the series might not have gone 7 games.

every team deals with injuries, all the time, you fucking faggot.

>all these Patscuck tears

It doesn't matter if it was deserved or not. The Warriors would finish the series with him and that's my point, you're not really choking if you're playing without one of your best players.

>wow the warriors lost 3 games in a row with multiple injured players, what a choke!

Nope

yeah because game 6 and 7 didn't matter right? Apemond played and couldn't stop Bron bron.

He outplayed bron in game 7.

This senpai, not to mention the next two games were both walk offs, and the last game of the series was a slaighter in Yankee stadium

2004 was the greatest season in baseball

Fuck that series man fuck fuck fuck.

>being this mad
>Forgetting the year before Cavs were all injured

Shit happened, GSW choked the 2 time MVP. Draymond took himself out of Game 5. Huge choke job, Boguts 8 minutes a night weren't going to help them not choke.
