i had amassed a large collection and thought i liked a lot of the stuff i heard. I came back to Loveless every couple weeks and all the others don't compare at all. Some recommendations aren't even ""shoegaze"" sounding at all. I tried for a few months and heard a lot. I was afraid of the deletion happening about a month into my Shoegaze journey but kept it going. I couldn't do it any longer. Goodbye guys

Agreed. Totally agree with P4K for once on this one. Apparently I prefer Wye Oak outtakes. More cohesive and enjoyable than Shriek. I don't care for Jenn Wasner putting down her guitar.

Great band. They're pretty unique however. The only thing I can think of that sounds similar is the Loopflesh EP. Godflesh + Loop
Nadja's good. Bought their cover album recently.
I've seen people say that Wye Oak are a pretty run of the mill indie band, and i guess you can make a case for that with their earliest stuff (even though i enjoy some of their old releases too),this is the album that really shows that they can make some really interesting stuff in my opinion.
