if i fucked up and didnt brush my teeth, and now my gums are black and my mouth and head are in extreme pain 24/7, is this one of those "they'll take care of it in the emergency room and then you'll be in debt" kind of deals or is this a "unless i have insurance i should kill myself" situations?

Didn't sign up under Affordable Health Care Act?

You dun goofed

Maybe

is it too late?

teeth for some reason are still viewed as totally your own responsibility in this society so no they wont do shit for you except antbiotics...

pics and timestamp faggot

at least this information is useful.....so antibiotics, smoke weed, try not to let food slip too far into my gumholes, and see how long i last?

GG life

Go to the fucking emergency room. They will give you antibiotics and non narcotic painkillers, and then you schedule an appointment with your dentist and orthodontist. You get your teeth pulled and, if needed, get surgery on your gums. Then you get dentures.

Quit fucking around, OP. Gum and tooth infection can VERY EASILY enter your bloodstream and cause a bacterial blood infection, which can VERY EASILY cause your heart or brain to stop functioning as needed and can often result in death.

im sure it's well in my bloodstream.
im pretty sure one of my cavities has rotted down into my gums and is rotting the left side of my jaw away.
im 21.
i don't have money, or insurance.
therein, i don't have a dentist, or an anything-ist.
because i'm 21 and don't have insurance.

Just kys if no insurance cuz even socialism don't cover dental

GUYS

He said "if" in the beginning of his post

It's ok

It's all hypothetical

Right OP?

No he's fucked can't u read?

well, no, the "if" was more a way to open up the options list.
i am in extreme pain and without more aspirin than recommended on the bottle, i can hardly speak

Go to the fucking emergency you twat

pics?

go see a dentist dude and brush ur teeth like right nao

im young and my perception is surely skewed but
im imagining a
"welcome what is your emergency"
"my teeth hurt"
"do you have money"
"no"
"insurance"
"no"
"well, get out"

I think they have to see you no mattr what and they bill you later you can probably make payments or something

sad but true..

Check'd

But none of that matters. You still go to the emergency room because you could die if you don't. Also, your local dentist will have options for setting up payment plants for you, and if you live in America, you can get medical insurance assistance through Medicare or Medicaid.

This isn't something you want to postpone any longer. Going to your local department of family services and applying for free health insurance and/or just going to the dentist regardless may just save your life.

Dental assistant here. Don't put it off. Don't let this kill you, OP.

well, who knows? id hate to show up with a "i thought it was free".....

i bet if i shot my teeth out, that would turn into a situation they'd fix now and bill later, and the gun would be cheaper than insurance, not considering debt

On god you might die, fam

Rip to some broke or stupid person I guess

okay, well, shit....what would they do usually? yank out the bad ones and....what?

Not true at all. A hospital is legally and ethically required to assist in medical emergency whether you have insurance or not. Yes, you will be billed and may accrue debt, but at least you will live.

Medic user here. Could be an infection seeing you didn't clean your mouth for so long. Prolong bacteria in your mouth and moving into the digestive is a terrible combo. Prob best to so a professional ASAP

here comes dis boi
to dat emergency room
i guess
thanks anons
i think

They will remove the bad teeth. If the gums are too bad, they may have to remove one one or two unaffected teeth in order to have full access to the affected gum. Then, a dental surgeon will most likely have to put you under in order to perform surgery on the gum and jaw. If the infection is too bad, they may have to work on the entire gum, which would require removal of potentially all teeth on one side. If this is the case, they will send you to an orthodontist afterwards to get you fitted for dentures.

Regardless, it's worth it in order to live. Worst case scenario, you are toothless for about a week or two while the swelling from gum surgery/teeth pulling goes down

Pics or it didn't happen faggot

Also, you should post a picture of the affected gum. If the gum is really black like you are saying and you are experiencing nonstop pain, you may me experiencing necrosis of the jaw, which would require you going to an orthopedic specialist as well, and may require bone grafts. I'm not 100% sure about what that requires because I don't deal with it personally, but if you are experiencing gum or jaw necrosis you need to get the fuck off of Sup Forums right now, and get into an emergency room last week. That is next level seriousness.

is it weird i feel like uploading a picture of my teeth is as good as a thumbprint?......yes it is weird.....
pic incoming

there is black back there, top and bottom, on the sockets behind the last visible teeth

In the US private hospitals can turn you away. Only government hospitals are required by law to help, because they are publicly funded.

I thought it would be worse you can prob save most of them Im not a dentist tho

Go to an emergency room. They may not have to do gum surgery, but you 100% have gingivitis and tooth decay. It looks like your enamel may have worn down completely. An emergency room will give you antibiotics and pain killers which will suffice until you can get into a dentist to get the afflicted teeth taken care of. If the root isn't rotted, they can repair the teeth visually, but if the root has died, the afflicted teeth will need to be pulled.

Good luck, OP. I see this fairly commonly, especially in rural patients. It will be frustrating, and may be uncomfortable or painful to get the work done, but you will be glad you did afterwards.

It doesn't look that bad. May not be related to head ache. Go to a physician for head ache and later tell him about your gums

Yeah, my teeth wern't bad, I bit down on a chicken leg end and felt a snap, pull out what I thought was a crown, instant pain, like worst I've ever felt, ended up taking a handful of asprin and some tylenol!

Turned out it was the top of a molar and the back down to the root was gone. Go to dentist, we will try a root canal to try and save it. Like op, no dental insurance because out of work. Dental fag tells me 4000$ IF we can save the tooth? Nfw, headed to tijuana, oral surgeon pulled the tooth and put in bone graft. Cost 500$
Must wait 3 months to get inplant

Your teeth are bad but not as bad as I thought. I've seen smokers with worse. Your best bet is to reach out to people who might help you. Most dentists have payment plans as well as hospitals. Set up a fund raiser for money like a gofundme page or somehing

emergency room deals?

go there stupid fag, once you see a doctor they might only prescribe antibiotics and tell your ass to go to a dentist

go to a dentist, but where ever you go expect o be on antibiotics for a few days before they do anything

woah! they can make that shit white again? that gives me some hope.

what is the endgame of gingivitis? if it's at this point so bad that brushing 5 times a day wouldn't help to reverse it, is that game over status or, what do they do about extreeeeeme gingivitis?

my head sure starts hurting like a mother fucker when i pick at my teeth :/

Most dentists can use a newer type of filling when repairing teeth around the gums. It is a type of vanier and hardens to look white, like enamel on teeth. It can still discolor if you don't start brushing though.

End game for gingivitis is gum disease that requires surgery. It is very painful and causes the gums to bleed and become both swollen and gaunt. It's hard to explain how it looks.

Starting brushing now is never a bad idea. It will be painful at first, so I recommend a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. Your dentist could prescribe you some special toothpaste for it, so I would recommend making a call and setting up an appointment.

Also this is my day off from the dentists. I came to find a good YLYL or cringe thread, not give medical advice. Having said that, though... I hope you take my advice and get the treatment you need before this becomes worse. I hope things improve for you, OP. I'm going to go find something to laugh at now.

Good luck, OP. I honestly wish the best for you.

Thanks for the help, sorry for bumming you out, I really appreciate it, more help than one might expect posting on Sup Forums. Good day
