Consistently good too. Except maybe JJ DOOM, anyone like it? Not sure if I should I give it another listen

I like JJ DOOM. It has some sick productions.

Yes.

However, mu has shit taste

yeah I remember the beats were good, I just felt like he was soundes tired in delivery. idk maybe thats what he was going for. ill give it another try some time

Surprised no one said this one yet.

Completely original. Doing his intricate, compelling triplet flow in 1993, one of the very first to do it. Combined deeply detailed satanic imagery with hazy Memphis life; I mean who thinks of that!?

I dunno, this dude was just so creative and completely on his own thing imo. And the he's got lines like:

Seasons of summer the Scarecrow want the ceremonies
Till the sun sets me ease
Until the night fall breeze

Just perfectly creepy and calm. Not hard hitting or aggressive. He managed to rap fast while keeping that calm vibe, lulling you into a relaxed evil. Everything suggests that the whole satanic thing shouldn't work, at least in his day. But it did.

Gorgeous is the GOAT verses. Then again, the "GOAT aesthetic" is kind of a style of that song alone.

Whatever, he proved to you he can make it happen

I don't know why this guy doesn't get mentioned more on here

DMX is my favorite rapper. He's got that whole personal struggle devil on one shoulder angel on the other dynamic in his songs. He's extreme and dark, but never excessively so. There's always a hope in the darkness in his songs.

I dunno he's just like poetry to me, more than most rappers I can think of. This guy's really going through the pain of an artist. He raps for the people at the fuckin BOTTOM. Not for the 1%. And he's always kept it real throughout his career.

I was traded the chance of being a child with a father
For a talent and being able to survive when it's harder
My balance on the high beams of life, keep my dreams in strife
That's why I hit these mothafuckin' streets at night; come on!

Nice quads GrimesCuck.

>Kanye West is better than Danny Brown

Not surprising that Pitchfork and this board share such a shit opinion, is it?

>throwing danny into that list

First class b8

It's not wrong by virtue of quantity. Danny has two classics under his belt, Kanye has at least four.

>lil uzi vert
>(you)

bait spotted after the first name you listed

>dude wacky samples lmao
MF DOOM is overrated.

Danny Brown is one of my favorite rappers, so I don't want him to be Sup Forums's favorite. I'd honestly feel better if you guys all hated him.

This board does have an obsession with Kanye. It seems like the most widely praised people are Del tha Funkee Homosapien and MF Doom, though

should be Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire

youtube.com/watch?v=N0ijOe3sGEk

god, no Jeru the Damaja

never thought satanic trips could b this pathetic

Danny's great either way
Guru gets a lot of praise here too, he deserves it

thats not hopsin. the real hopsin is blind

As a rapper? i don't really know

as a musician? kanye blows danny out of the water it's not even a competition

Eminem

Ice Cube t b h

It used to be Kanye but now it's undeniably Young Thug.

tupac

Do people here listen to Del aside from Deltron 3030 and one feature with Gorillaz?
