Only 17 out of 206 individual time trials of the Tour de France since the first one in 1934 have been contested uphill. The first one was up the Mont Ventoux on 13 July 1958. There hasn't been any stage of this kind since the timed climb to L'Alpe d'Huez in 2004.
The bookies are giving this stage to our Spooky Skeleton or Tom Dumoulin and maybe skybot in disguise and Aussie shitposter Porte.
Adam Wright
No category since TT??, although a horse would struggle on some bits.
Kayden Wright
Froomey's got this, lads.
Looking forward to this. See how weak Quintana actually is.
Camden Cooper
"There are lots of years left," he said.
"I'm 26 and the guys ahead of me are much older and have much more experience. The dream is not over and there are many years to come, many years to keep trying."
Until this point the Movistar rider has made a point of saying there are still many days and many mountains left in this particular Tour. That has now turned to years in his career.
i still believe in him. he just needs a better team. movistar a shit
John Richardson
>"I'm 26 and the guys ahead of me are much older and have much more experience
3 Adam Yates 2:53 4 Nairo Quintana 3:27
Daniel Wood
Poels will win this
Isaiah Anderson
Oh yeah, 20 years ago on this date that Riis won the Tour. We like to dwell in past achievements, eh?
We're still riding on the high horse from 1992
Cooper Foster
Celebrating Bjarne's 20th anniversary with champagne. At least they mentioned the "bad things"
Benjamin Green
Trek and Orica haven't exactly brought monster support for Mollema and Yates.
Carter Morgan
Froome said: "It's been a very difficult Tour for Nairo. He is still a great rival and a big challenger for me, but he lost more time today.
"I think for him to re-enter into the game again, he is going to have to do a real good time trial tomorrow."
I bet Froome really wants to say 'fuck this overhyped goat herder, you've all been shitting on me for years and hoping he wins, I've fucking rekt him, fuck you all.'
Mine was depressing. Legs felt heavy and couldnt get my heart rate up since the legs were just incapable of putting out any significant amount of power. I had grand plans for today, but turned around after about 650m of climbing and then had my descent ruined by some old people in cars. I even overtook one of them, which is not a nice thing to do on a bicycle as you have no means of proper acceleration. Fuck.
I hope I am fine tommorow as that will be my last day here.
Aiden Butler
Always liked the Skeleton King
Salty Europeans are just angry that none of their riders are good enough and none of their teams as well organised as Sky
Adam Yates is coming through now too - expect to see him in yellow for Team Sky soon enough
Jordan Hall
>Mollema, Bauke
Are the bookies retarded?
Did they not see him explode on the mountain yesterday?
Joshua Collins
>tfw no TT downhill stages over cobblestoned tracks
Caleb Russell
If I was a betting man I would unironically put 1000 euro's on froome winning it
Dominic Mitchell
I so expect him and his brother to be reeled in by Sky, Simon bunked with Froome at the Commonwealth games in '10, clearly some of that Froome magic rubbed off on Simon and subsequently on Adam.
Jacob Baker
He's 34/1, which means 'he cannot win but here's a price anyway, gib monies'.
David Rogers
TT bikes apparently. Surprising to me.
Grayson King
Simon can't join Sky because of his suspension. Adam won't join Sky because they didn't want him when he was turning pro.
Jack Thompson
surely you would barely get anything if you won right? Or do you mean just this stage? I personally think Big Tom could take the stage, most of the climbing is not steep at all which would suit him.
Andrew Cook
.....until Sky offer Adam twice as much as any other team will.
Grayson Long
>I hope I am fine tommorow as that will be my last day here. Jeeeez. Could you end on a less suicidal note please?
Xavier Perez
This, Sky pays their domestiques more then most other teams their leaders. Keeps Geraint and Poels from riding as a leader for a smaller team.
Nicholas James
rest and eat all day, you've totally burned out
Parker Walker
trips confirm
Dumoulin 2nd.
Max Verstappen 3rd.
Julian Lee
Body and back is sore from multiple shifts as a bike courier and running >ten hour shift today
fuggg
Julian Rodriguez
kek
Nolan Nelson
He would get 1888 euros back, earning 888 euros.
Jordan Gutierrez
Thats for the stage though, which is not that much of a certainty. What would you get for betting on him winning the tour now?
Landon Price
a heart attack when some french fan pushes him down a cliff in the last Alp stage
For every £100 invested you'd win £3 A bet that Froome doesn't crash/die in his sleep/get busted.
Charles Williams

Chase Perez
no streams yet lads?
Grayson Carter
coverage starts at 14:15 eurotime usually m8, so in about half a bong
Logan Nguyen
>last stage has ceremonial value only for GC what a waste of time tb h
Mason Brooks
it's a sprint stage
Logan Stewart
Should be a time trial into paris, nothing like a proper time trial to stir up the GC on the last day.
Jordan Lewis
i think you're trying to re-catch lightning in a bottle with that one.
paris sprint stage is great. full peloton bombing around paris is one of the great spectacles.
have a stage 20 tt if you want.
Jose Bailey
His arrival into the elite was über-suspicious, but Froome has slowly gained me too.
Jackson Collins
he's a real friendly and polite chap
Kevin Kelly
just chucked 500 on valverde
Connor Morris
>no TTT why are teams allowed
Grayson Clark
he was always good, but unlocked his final form only when he exposed his bare skellington.
Ethan Bell
fuck off, TTTs are boring as fuck. Most people only care about individual riders they like, not teams.
William Jackson
>Mollema will race today with a 50mm + disk wheel combo
absolute madman
Blake Gomez
they wouldn't be boring if they were in a 20km technical descent
Gavin Baker
Just did a 6km ride to get something in a shop I'm sweating like I've climbed the Ventoux fuck it's hot

Nathan White
Meme magic can make it happen
Oliver Watson
I know nothing about the technical sides of riding, why is this weird? What does it say about his plan?
Daniel Gonzalez
Wouldn't be mad
Angel Clark
It's a climbing TT so the weight of the disk wheel sort of outWEIGHS the aero benefit
Joshua Rogers
I can see him crash and then crawling to the finish line.
Chase Rivera
getting caught is not part of it
Aiden Nelson
MULLET MAN, NO
Tyler Phillips
Disk wheels and >45mm wheels are most efficient for straightline speeds above 20-25+ mph, otherwise they're pretty heavy and awful for crosswinds in descents
Noah James
>clip-on TT bars k-kimo
Benjamin Long
Thanks friendo
Adam Evans
What a shitty mountain time trial. Why didn't they use Ventoux or the Alp instead? Froome or based Tom to win. Cantana to show his true form today, no hiding.
Jeremiah James
Give me a (You) if you think that Froome is using a motor and the UCI is in the conspiracy, they are letting Sky get away with it and all kinds of doping as well. I can't be the only one.
Just look at him when all of a sudden, at the end of a killer climb section he switches to Onoda mode, not even standing out of the saddle, just effortlessly raising his RPM to insane levels while all other riders are struggling. I just can't believe that this is for real.
It's exactly like Cancellara in that infamous Ronde van Vlaanderen video. He just switches up in an instant like it's nothing. J can't believe how nowbody is able to match his attacks. They aren't even real attacks, they are the push of a button.
Josiah Flores
>it's a not bothering to open stream episode
Landon Morales
I want to see Froome kruijswijking

Blake Mitchell
G'day lads, who's ready for some super comfy TT today?
Also >dem 2agan fans in the Extra >Writing 2agan as S4agan
Full plebs.
Leo Smith
Worst tour de France since 2012. Sky and Froome are a level above everyone else. As long as Froome doesn't win 5 tours, it's not as bad Lance.
The UCI set a weight limit (6.8kg) and Dan Loyd says Mollema's bike is going to get down to 6.8 even with the disc wheel so I don't think there's any disadvantage to using one
Hudson Lee
It's the best tour since 2011 what are you on?
2010 2011 2016 2014 2015 2013 2012
Jayden Moore
Motor are so 2014. Now they use magnets in the wheel. Look it up it's real
Christopher Collins
2013 and 2015 were better than this. At least we saw Froome crack and Quintana attacked. Even 2014 was better, only because of the cobbled stage.
Adam Richardson
the tour was never good
Austin Phillips
>Determining how good a tour is looking at only Vroome and Can'tana
M8..
Ethan Cook
If Bauke Mollema or Adam Yates steal the yellow in the final mountain stage, would you say this was one of the best tours in recent memory?
