hey man, like, join the navy and stuff.

wait youre not one of those queerosexuals are you

Because they keep raping people in Okinawa.

No. Is the navy actually gay? I've heard so many jokes about it. Is there some truth in the jokes?
Source? What goes on there?

how is that lame

no if youre gay we're full try again next life

Any is fine. You get to support the killing of people for monetary purposes, maybe even actually do the deed yourself. Is there anything better than that?

I'm not gay I just want to travel the world, find love, get in shape and become disciplined. I want skills that convert to civilian life from one of the branches of the military.
I don't ever want to kill a person in my lifetime.

>do the dead yourself

Hoorah devil dog

Air Force - Chair Force
Marines - Navy's bitch
Army- Wannabe Marines
Navy- Gay jokes all day, everyday.

Google Okinawa rape, you lazy ass. Source is me, I lived there for four years.

No, I didn't do the raping.

Because then all military members get banned from drinking. It put literally hundreds out of business.

Literally, not figuratively.

YOU should join the Coast Guard or the Merchant Marines, OP

That'a'way, you'd be able to have all the butt-sex your little ass requires AND dress up in a cool uniform and not get your fingernails dirty or lose a hell from all that marching and physical exertion

If you learn to tap-dance, you could entertain your fellow team mates in other ways, too

And, if we ever do have a REAL war, you'd just become a seat cushion for the REAL navy and all them hot, sweaty, horny seaman who could really use a big ole' mouth like yours to good effect, right?

To the sea, it'll make a man outta' you fo' sho'.

How gay is the navy actually in reality though? Who says the jokes?

y u no sell 2 us on yellow market

no

You will be affiliated with death one way or another if you join up. Have fun

>Who says the jokes?

lemme' see
>marines
>army
>air force
>coast guard

oh yeah, and navy seamen too

oldest joke in the world

army boys also think marines are gay-gay-gay and that tun tavern was a famous gay bar during the revolutionary war

sex happens

just not like you see in gay porn

My wife did. Sometimes at 400% markup. It was a money farm.

you should have sold your wife for 400% mark up

I'm from the Navy and I would heavily regret the Marines because every branch gets paid for the same ranks despite marine jobs boiling down to front line infantry and navy jobs ranging from nuclear operator to computer repair guy

She was making me money already. She would be making someone else money if I sold her. You clearly didn't think this through.

Just read the wiki. That happened one time in 95' and they all got caught for what they did. Are there really that many bad/evil people in the military?
I don't like boats that much that I would do it for a career. I just want to travel and chill while saving money.
Like is it absolute certain that I will have to deal with death in the military?
>just not like you see in gay porn
What do you mean? Do you get raped in the military or something? How is gay sex in the military different than the Navy? Is the navy actually gay or is it a joke?
Are the skills worth it for after you go back to civilian life?

I joined the Army as an E-4 (Specialist). That was an interesting experience. The hardest part was not asking "why?" or trying to understand or "improve" things.

Former Marine here, dont join the Marines.

It really boils down to this...

Do you want to kill? Join infantry or special forces

Do you want a military experience and want a job that can transfer into the real world? Join the Air Force and get a job like air traffic controlman or some shit.

I'm in the Marine Corps.

My MOS is 6154. I would not suggest this MOS if you are going for fast rank pick up or an easy job. I would suggest Admin or Intelligence. Pretty much any indoor job that does not require a hard thought process or anything. Those MOS's pick up very quickly, you don't deal with bullshit weather or bullshit NCO's / SNCO's that have complex problems because of how long they've been in that MOS and haven't been promoted as quickly.

It's sad but true, call me a boot.

But if there was one MOS I could pick from the beginning, it would be PMO and then K9 Handler. I love dogs and being a Cop doesn't seem too bad. I just really love dogs.

As far as Branches go. I would go either Army or Air Force. Yah, Marines talk the most shit and are hard core mother fuckers. But it's like this....

Marine Corps spends more money on training and efficiency, and less on living and quality.

Navy and Air Force spends more money on living and quality and a lesser amount on efficiency and training.

Army has all the top shit, but shit fucking Soldiers. You could be a downy and be in that fucking branch. But, they do have the best shit, the best living spaces, the best everything. But their so god damn retarded. So yah, I'd go Air Force. Or Army. They both promote very quickly and its easy to Rank up. If I were to reenlist from the Corps to another Branch. I'd automatically be a SSgt in the Branch I choose or a Chief Warrant Officer.

Not true. Most recently, it happened in October 2012 when 3 sailors on shore leave raped a woman. That resulted in a drinking ban that lasted about a year. An American contractor also murdered his Japanese mistress this year.

The 95 one is still talked about because it was a little girl who was raped, like 13 years old.

Which is ironically the age of consent in Japan.

God damn biggest regret of my life is not joining the Air Force instead.

Any branch gives you similar benefits of leadership, discipline, and being reliable as well as free college.
It really depends on the job you pick. I'm a nuke which is the shittiest job you can choose but even our dirtbags who get out easily land 80k jobs immediately.
Whatever you do in the Navy is an easy transition to civilian, if you're a navy welder you can immediately turn around to be a civilian welder

Pretty much this

Joining the USMC, especially now, is one of the worst things you can do in life.

user, I really can't try and sell you on joining the Army without knowing the reas on you want to join. There's too many shitbags, sluts, and fuckwits already in every military branch.

Well good. I'm not a girl so I think I'm fine lol. Guess I want get raped. Also if I ever saw anyone raping a woman while I was deployed I would fuck them up

Question Sup Forums. Can I join the Navy or Airforce without seeing combat?

I was in Okinawa in 91. The reason the indecent in 95 was such a big deal was because military personnel were commuting rape on the locals just about weekly and this went on just about my entire tour which was about 14 months.

how easy is it to hide medical records, assuming 100% certain Id pass all the tests the military themselves give me

Terminal lance, eh?

>PMO
Jesus, why? Meting out justice as a glorified parent/babysitter to retarded Marines at their most retarded.

I also recommend going to college first. The pay gap between enlisted and officer is huge. Unless you're enlisting to serve 4 years, get your post-911 GI Bill and GTFO (not a bad strategy tbh)

>>Marines talk the most shit
Yep
>>and are hard core mother fuckers.
Lol, no. More like faggots with mental problems that get told they're badasses

Fucking spellcheck...

You wont see combat, this isnt 2001

Nah, I was a supply bitch. Awful unit. 8th ESB. I did go to PMO, New York, and Afghan though. Most people in my shop didn't do a single thing. 4 years on camp lejeune. What a waste.

Join the Peace Corps, faggot.

please answer

What's your problem?

I know people that have slipped through
But it really depends what you have.

>join navy
>get stationed in NASNI or NAB
>pretend to be a SEAL
>bang beach chicks
>the end

i dont have anything. i just said i had stuff to get cheap drugs. havent done said drugs in years

Join coast guard if you like to party!

I'm an Armyfag and can honestly say some of the shittiest people I have ever met were Marines. Went to AIT at Fort Sam with Navy and Air force, they're chill as fuck. We are easily the worst 2 of the 4 branches, its not even up for debate.

but would a non shitty person be more able to succeed in the army, since a non-shitty person would sort of stand out in a good way?

I'm going to join the Navy too OP. I kind of want to be a corpsman. The only reason I think it's lame is its god damn sailor dress uniform. If that isn't gay then idk what is. Also that fact that sailors are called seamen is kind of lame.

Join the Air Force if you want to live maximum chill. I know a lot of marines and army guys who all tell me they should have joined the Air Force. Every branch has its perks and every branch is for a different type of person. If you're worried you won't get your fair share of "action" in the Air Force I recommend my job aka 1N0X1 be safe fam

OP here. I think the Navy is the best choice for me but the only thing that is holding me back also is the uniforms. They are gay af. Idk why they look so shitty but they are. Ive been looking up gays in the navy. I'm straight but it seems like if you don't act like a faggot you won't be treated like one. Navy also seems to be the safest branch and they have good job skills that transition to civilian life

I want the chill that the Air Force provides but I don't know of a job in the Air Force that converts well to civilian life.

I would advise against navy OP. Unless you can score a cool job. If you fail your training you become an undesegnated seamen and are basically a bitch on a boat. Also don't do nuclear weapons no matter what any recruiter says. I'm the last poster about the Air Force op. If you're a smart motherfucker you could go for a job called SPINSTRA. Aka special instruments. You won't find any info about that job online most likely and you'd have to ask your recruiter about it specifically but it's cool

Just about any job op. I'm Intel so when I decide to leave I have basically a guaranteed spot in the FBI. I'm going to try for CIA tho first

Listen op
Join the army
It fucking sucks as enlisted
But then you go to ranger school
The you go to special forces selection and then you are fucking awesome and you kill sand niggers and get to have a beard and jump out of planes and shit.

Want to be a man? Join the Legion, pussy.

TOP KEK

> be a man
> Legion
> some shitty french army

Take you're white flag somewhere else cunt
Navy forever

What jobs pay well and are super chill with travel in the airforce? I am looking for an MOS that I can get 80k+ when I go back to civilian life.

Basically any spec ops is badass. Just don't go combat weatherman or CCT. CCT training is fucking insane on top of the insanity

Yeah fuck the gay bow tie thing and hat lol. I like the blue camo. The safest branch with the best crossover job skills is probably the air force. Almost Everything in there would be good for a civilian job later. I'm sure Navy is too but with the tensions in the South China Sea idk how safe the Navy will be. Marines are for people who barely graduated high school, and the army is for farm boys.

got to /meg/ on /k/ faggot

This
Special forces is like the good part of the army, rangers is okay and infantry is the asshole of the whole military

Like I said, any Intelligence job scores big money. And believe it or not the Air Force electricians get a lot of travel opportunities on top of crazy money outside it. Fire protection has the best training a firefighter can get. Guaranteed fire fighter job. Security forces if you wanna be a cop, pretty boring from what I heard until you get deployed. Anything that has to do with computers if that's your thing. There's a fuckton man. Or you can try to become an officer and make some good money when you rank up on top of money you get paid for housing and food

> Legion
> Shitty

Are you fucking retarded?

Yea I'm Air Force, met some Rangers. They're all down to earth cool as fuck people. Also a bit crazy. Wanna get deployed with them

I mean yeah, not being a shitbag is a pretty solid foundation for life in the Army. The thing is those people will get payed just as much as you while they slack off of work and you bust your ass to get things done. Things like that are why good soldiers get out after their first enlistment, I know I am.

Westpoint or Annapolis Sup Forums?
Or if I don't get in to either of those, I'll be doing ROTC at a college like The Citadel.
So the real question is, Army or Marines. I know for certain that I want to be an Infantry Officer

Don't join the marines if you don't want to be infantry.

Marines if you want the ptsd, Army if you wanna be in charge of literal autism at times. Like no joke I've seen them walking around with bike helmets on. Marine infantry can be kinda cool. After they've seen some shit they usually stop being all OORAH boots

i have a friend in the royal navy, he tells me they're told to avoid the american sailors and if they do have to associate with them are given special orders not to bully them, because what constitutes friendly banter in the british navy is enough to make them go cry to their officers about it

fucking kek

Being a Marine is like being forced to have tiny penis syndrome all day every day

Air Force is a good option if you're not a retard but can function in a highly political environment

Army falls somewhere between the two, but has the most jobs to pick from and the most lax rules

OP you are hearing this directly from a Soldier, go Air Force or don't go at all.

How chill/lax is the air force compared to the Army? What makes the airforce so chill? What should I expect going in that are pros and cons?
Bootcamp doesn't even seem that bad with the airforce from the videos I've seen. How much do I travel with the airforce?

I do want to see some combat so maybe Marines will be my best bet. I've been talking to a second lieutenant in the Marines and he's been telling me Marines for awhile because he obviously has a bias. I'm really just hoping I get into at least one of the Academies so I don't have to make a decision but if I do have to then maybe I'll go Marines

Our coast guard is bigger than your NAVY.

Active AF here.
Currently in tech training in joint base and I see army always running around and getting put on their faces 24/7 even on weekends.
It's easy life in AF but I feel like I don't gain anything

...

in waist size maybe

This is the correct answer.

...

AirForce BMT (boot camp) is retardedly easy. Almost fun. Traveling depends entirely on the job but I have friends in Italy, Germany, Japan, Middle East stuff, Hawaii. Literally everywhere. My job I pretty much can volunteer and go anywhere. Like I can go to South Korea any time I see fit, just not sure if I wanna go. My buddy does airborne ISR and literally flies around the world and gets to go to places like every 3 weeks and spend a week or so where they're at. Anything that has to do with aircraft you'll travel. A really really cool job is..can't remember the name but you basically get an m4 and get to sit on planes and flea round the world dropping supplies and being protection for the aircraft. The AirForce rules is easy to get in petty trouble if you have a total faggot supervisor but petty trouble is like paperwork saying you won't do it again. Ultimately no one gives a fuck

AF bootcamp was more like a really annoying summer camp with injuries and disease

What base you at fam? I know if of like 3 or 4, I'm at goodfellow

Fort Sam

In terms of fitness expectations, Air Force probably falls below Army but above Navy. Their training is less physically rigorous, but they have a lot more technical and technological jobs. The big con is the corporate office style politics you can expect, lots of maneuvering for promotion and underhandedness.
In the Army, guys can feel free to act like retards to their heart's content (at least after training) so long as you don't break the rules

Oh yea the jobs loadmaster. Everyone I know in it says it's fucking awesome

Am British and don't know enough about your career options but from an outsiders perspective (with some personal bias thrown in here) if I were an American and were to join the USMC I'd aim to serve in an ANGLICO unit.

if you dont want to be infantry, don't join the marines. The only reason you should become a marine is if you want to deploy, every other branch has better resources for their non combat MOS's.

if there's even a question in your mind whether you want to be a marine don't do it, because you'll hate it.

Yeah, go be a Corpsman. Tell me how handing out Motrin goes.

Yea my uncle was a corpsman. Pretty shitty but he said banging hot nurses. Navy isn't my jam, spending all the time on those ships would drive me crazy

Active FMF corpsman here.
Been in for two years and haven't regretted a thing. Tons and tons of medical training and I haven't worn a navy uinformation for a year and a half other than the very rare special events whenot I have to get in my dress uniform. Everywhere uniform I wear are marine corps uniforms.

Have you been shot at yet?

Do you ever have to pick up a gun and shoot people? Will you ever have to pick up a gun and shoot people? How formal do you have to be? How chill is it as an FMF?

assume this.

im almost 28, slightly out of shape. did football in highschool and middleschool. intelligent, loves airplanes and would literally love anyjob that would allow me to be around them everyday.
>>have asthma but can get it wavered
>>need glasses for far sight
>>people dont think i can do it
>>want to prove to people im not a pussy
>>im sick of being a lazy POS

Could I still join the airforce if I got into shape? I dont want to be shot at, i just fucking love aircraft and want to work with or around them.

also, live in NC near SJ AFB and Cherry Point is maybe an hour away

>28
If you want to join do it now

They raised it to 39 no
If you have nothing else to do, get a haircut and ask to go to MEPS

I'm OP user. Here is a story about my cousin with asthma who went into the airforce:

>Be cousin
>Go into airforce with mechanic MOS
>Go to Bootcamp
>Start running/do PT
>Start to have asthma attack
>Get put in infirmiary
>They refuse to give inhaler
>Become sick
>They won't let me leave boot camp
>Get knife put to my throat and threatned/beat up
>Parents have to write congressman to get me out
>Scarred for life
Sad but true story user. Be

Just graduated from Fort Sam as an Army combat medic back in April. We envied the fuck out of you guys, we got shit on every day for the most miniscule reasons in full battle rattle. Also your girls are way hotter than hours.

Yes multiple times
The most effective medicine in combat is effective return fire. Most of the time whenever a firefight breaks out you are basically thrown under a marine to keep you safe so you can fix your guys. Corpsman are one of the most valuable assets to a unit. In some EXTREME cases you may be required to pull the trigger but that is rare because most of the time you're dealing with a casualty
