/tdf/ Tour de France 2016 - Stage 19

It's another /Vroome/ episode edition

Today we have Albertville - Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc, a mountain stage. 1 more Alps stage after that

More info: letour.com/le-tour/2016/us/stage-19.html

Can Bardet and Aru make the podium? Is Mollema really kill? Is Porte a Sky in disguise? Can le tiny goat fucker do something? Let's find out!

Here we are then

2nd for Bardet

btw race starts in 30 minutes, it should be a full coverage

...

Fuck this Tour tbħ. I'm still pissed for yesterday.

>Why was Mollema jewed out of his gains on Vroome?

>Why is Trek unable to help Mollema in the slightest?

>Why does Sky get to bring more riders then any other team?

All in all pretty shit tour so far desu senpai

Last 3 stages are full coverage

>tfw going to miss today
>using pedals

>standing

Does he need to touch the wheel with his hands to brake?

>slowing down

early for /nibbles/

...

Nice stage profile today.

Shame Froome is going to ruin this for everybody again.

Reminder: Mollema is Dutch.

you whine more than schleck + schleck + tony martin + cancellara + bordeaux

>The entire top 10 will just ride in a train behind Henao, Nieve and Poels again
Why am I still watching this semen slurping sport?

I have never seen Froome unable to follow an attack

Uphill starts like this are the ones that often create epic stages.

TJVG to win.

didn't watch last year's tour? or the year before?

>TJVG to win

don't get your hopes up, all you'll get to see is a fight between Pantano, Majka and Zakarin while the peloton is 15 minutes behind

I only watch women's cycling tbf

Last tour yates ended 50th. Now he's going to end up on th podium. Really makes you think

How many climbing domestiques will Movistar waste in the break today?

I say they go all out and put 3 in it.

Don't cut yourself on that greenEDGE m8

it begins

Moving to Durham in October. Are there any decent trail routes or road routes to the coast?

Back from big tesco just in time!

The dough is rising
Homemade pizza later

where are your men today?

Quorn Lasagne for my dinner. High in protein, low in cruelty.

Degendt looks so much like Tendam

de gendt looks like the halfway point between normal human and full drool-covered wolfman ten dam

What the fuck does HC mean?

so will we see many attacks today?

horse ciller
a hill so steep it would kill a horse which tried to climb it

Horse Category

de gendt, navarro, majka, grmay, pantano... well this is a surprise

wouldnt mind living in a fort up a hill desu

RAIN IN 5

So who'll be able to beat Froome next year?
Contador: he's getting older and doesn't have the team.
Quintana: has the climbing ability, but lacks the other key abilities.
Aru: too inconsistent.
Nibali: hasn't proven to be able to climb against peak Froome.
Pinot: >pinot

porte and quintana the only possibles

Mollema
Demoulin
Porte
Yates
TGVG

ehh

What about Yates if he gets a strong team?

TJVG

G'day lads, Sagan not in the break today, holding off the peloton for Majka.

time trials will always hurt him.

some classic hilly stages, mountain time trials, and you never know.

>What about Yates if he gets a strong team?
He doesn't have the base yet.
One or two more years and he'll go well.

No more excuses.

NME!

Yates

Fellow Dannebrogs i am watching your Danish TV2s, very comfy. Any tips for a Norwegian?

so is Sagan really going to #BoraArgon18 or is it all just a meme

It's true. Oleg confirmed it.
They're moving up to world tour.

All reports suggest he's going.

VINOKOUROV

>Sagan in a german team
>Tour of Germany confirmed by ASO in 2018

The german cycling empire is on the rise

stupid question:

is 2agan has decent domestiques can he actually challenge for GC?

(i know oleg said sagan's probably moving to bora; so its purely hypothetical)

Based!

>Mfw they wrote his name wrong though

Nibali is hitting peak form.
He's going to be unbeatable in Rio.

Only if they get rid of all high mountains and long time trials.

>I'm actually rooting for Astana

Never thought I'd see the day

Trust me, Froome crashes out today.

Cap this post and don't forget to reply to it in 3 hours.

Does anybody ITT give a shit about the Rio Olympics?

I'll be watching the Road Race and TT with interest but the track stuff will only be watched if I literally have nothing better to do.

>long time trials.
Eh. He'd be better than Quintana if he gave them 100℅ effort.

this is strange, even for the tour de france

>implying he will beat Poels

>Mfw was an Astanafag for years thanks to Vino

Though yeah, it hasn't been the same after he retired. Still think they have the best looking uniforms.

Why would I cap it if the thread isn't going anywhere?

I will watch everything.

Team pursuit is going to be FIRE

Nibali peak would shit on Poles.

I will watch any event I can, excluding handball.
Don't particularly care about the road race or tt to be honest.

Will watch everyting too
fucking comfy

ASTANA
S
T
A
N
A

astana and movistar pacing together, sky btfo

no mate, i don't like sport

dream scenario on todays etappe? Porte rocketing for a win for me and froome collapsing

M8, I like Nibali as much as the next guy, but truth be told he's still feeling the effects of the Giro. Not to mention he seems to have passed his peak.

Whats the appeal of actually going to watch a stage live? I can see it if its right in front of your house, but travelling to see the riders for a few seconds and miss everything else?

My girlfriend's asshole stinks like hehe

They are simply inferior.

Take the redpill sheeple

Pretty much the same. Will also watch the MTB race if they show it since Sagan will be in it.

the olympics are a 4-year event that sees the best athletes in the world compete and puts sports that otherwise don't get much attention in the limelight

I will definitely try to watch as many events as possible. unfortunately we don't have a chance in hell of winning the men's road cycling event as those 4 climbs are far too steep for any of our riders

>no stage winner from spain, france or italy yet

Bauke getting over 3 minutes on Froome

A man can dream

Another Pantano stage win would be neat too, really enjoyed him this tour

I'll watch the track stuff if that thick australian is still here

acestream pls

Tripdubs confirm

finally we see his true form

3's too

It's happening

the experience. the spectacle. the atmosphere. the nice day out.

See
But the key thing is to not go for the stage watch alone: find a comfy spot in the fields/nature or if it's in a city spend some time sightseeing or whatever.

Olympics is shit tier filled with literal non-sport so "big nations" can rack in a shitload of useless medals
>golf
>Inb4 butthurt, Hungary is one of the most successful olympic sporting nation

nobody else thinks canoeing is a sport, hungary

worst thing is the 5 million different swimming events.

this tb h

The worst thing about the Olympics is listening to casuals pretending they know anything about sport

The Olympics are nothing more than a glorified cock boasting event between nations. That said though, never really bothered me personally. Am simply not interested.

I think most people put it on their calendar if they're in the area anyway.

Imagine you're in France camping with your wife and your wife's son for three weeks and you see that the Tour de France is passing near your area, you'd probably go out and watch it to experience it. The true die hards on the other hand, they probably have a tv in their camper to follow the race while they're roadside

Posting comfy pics

That, and they move spots with the peloton following it throughout the tour. Also it's not only a tiny TV in the camper van. At points, the organizers set up large screens showing it as well. Albeit that's in more urban areas.
