Well, I don't know. They may have gotten one more massive player, but they also completely destroyed their balance. Barnes and Bogut were immesnely important to put oil in the gears and keep a balanced game, and Ezeli + Barbosa were useful bench player. Maybe they gain a massive player, but I think people also underestimate how much they lost to get him.

In 2004, yes. But we're 12 years later. Just look at their roster: Ginobili, Scola, Nocioni, Delfino... Even the Spurs look young compared to them. Truth is they're way past their prime. 2 years ago they were already unable to compete anymore in the WC. The only reason they keep selecting those player is that they have absolutely nobody to replace them, even at their age.
