Correct. Just finished watching it. I enjoyed it very much. Great dialogues, beautiful scenes. The theme is even quite applicable nowadays.
What I did keep wondering about if the audience back then would have minded the strong stereotypes so much. The obedient black Sam, the weak willed but gorgeous lady, the grimdark though secretly sentimentalist strong male.
As a modern viewer I identified more with Laszlow than I did with Rick.
