kill yourself

First for smoothands the embryo king

Worst reviewer is probably the one you posted. Also that Evans guy who wears the bane mask, the dude is a manchild who hasn't seen many films yet thinks aspect of production + adjective + no justification equals a good review

>patrician
Marcissus
Karl J. Kipling

>somewhat tolerable

>plebs, ledditors, embryos and faggots
everyone else

Checked this guy out. What a pleb.

Eli Hayes is the biggest piece of trash on the entire site. It boggles my mind how beloved he is when almost all of the reviews I've read from him have just been gushing dumps of tripe that is barely related to the content at hand. Like every single film he's seen recently is the 'best ____ he's ever seen'.

>Holy Shit. Holy Shit. Holy Shit. Fincher, you magnificent bastard! This was my first Fincher film I've seen at the theater and boy was in one hell of an experience.

>"Holy Shit", is the phrase I muttered to myself several times as I drove home from the theater. One might ask, "Why was Evan saying Holy Shit his entire drive home?" Well I will tell you why BECAUSE THIS MOVIE IS FUCKING AMAZING!

marcissus doesn't even do reviews anymore

No Eurobeat/5

a lot of the reviewers who show up in the popular section frequently tend to be pretty awful - Todd Gaines is pretty bad

what are your thoughts on Weerasethakul in general?

letterboxd.com/machill54/

it's me, machill54, the widely loved and respected reviewer on this website!

Love what I've seen so far from him, which is just 2 features and 2 shorts. The dude has a really keen eye for shooting nature well (I'd say up there with Painleve, Herzog, and Roeg) and understands how to pace emotional beats well in more generally serene and even stories. Tropical Malady is my favorite. You?

The Plague Dogs was rough.

Rate. What. You. Watch.

silly catposter

it is insane how angry people consistently get about this. Letterboxd is just a film diary website, you can use as much or as little of the functionality as you want. You don't have to follow any body, if it upsets you that people don't rate then just ignore them

Why don't people get angry at people who don't write reviews for every movie? There's the functionally right there on the site, lots of people do review movies, and it makes your profile less useful to the reader if you don't, what are you some sort of special snowflake or something???????

>Following 0
Why even use this site then?

>YOU ARE ANGRY! AAAARGH!! STOP BEING MAD!

Daily reminder his short film made it to cannes
You're just mad he knows more about cinemá than you

He can make it, but that won't change the fact that he is a complete twat.

So do I :-)

Oh Hayes

520 inhale it

>A non-narrative meditation on gender, identity, and mortality.
>Cannes

yikes. never seen someone dickride a film school entry before, make sure to get us a photo of his autograph on your ass, k senpai?

can you guys link he`s shorts here? I want to sure that I wont make the same mistakes as he does

Letterkek users that whine about the site in Sup Forums's letterboxd threads and continue using it like the good little good cuckbois they are

;v)

What site is this?

it's not a site.

>Josaih Morgan likes your review
>delete your reviews

>Come out as tranny
>Your films get instantly positive reviews

has any of lbg made any films aside from bel and that guy who made penis boy?

who cares

What mistakes? Dude is on Cannes, he knows what's he doing

eli plz

>forgetting the actual film maker with talent, Turner 'Hentai Cop' Stewart

hmmmmmm

just wondered if anyone's into filmmaking

got links?

just google "Computer Hearts".

I personally think it's pretty shit, but I'm not into the kind of stuff he makes at all, so I couldn't really tell you if its good for what it is or not

Computer hearts is a genre masterpiece, and in 20 years will be viewed in the same light as we view Stereo or Crimes of the Future now

rare unearthed godard

how is he so cute bros

RWYW

cooties is pretty memey but all round ok horror/comedy flick

>. Letterboxd is just a film diary website
If you wanted a diary you could use a fucking notepad

Letterboxd is soc-porn circle jerk site like any other site like it (last.fm twitter facebook etc).

Notepad has a lot less functionality than letterboxd

notepad is far more stable, has better UI than iPhoneBoxd, doesn't have annoying userbase, can be filtered in anyway you want

It's more stable, more chic and less gay. Notepad confirmed as the patrician tool

The Cannes short film festival is a completely different section than the Cannes festival proper, they will accept literally any short film and nobody gives a shit about it

Does anyone have the link to the kickstarter for Turner "ObesePolice" Stewart's vapourwave flick? I want to see how woefully underfunded it ended up being

kickstarter.com/projects/hentaicop/hentai-cop-films-feature-length-cyberpunk-movie

it's a tragedy that this absolute blunder wasn't memed about here much more heavily

If you want a good chuckle, watch this

vimeo.com/164217199

Is Vimeo the Mixtape of filmmaking?

It's more like the pretentious undergrad film major cousin of Youtube

Okay guys. I´ve been spamming here about making a film etc for couple of threads now and I really want to know the general tips what I SHOULD NOT do when making a feature.

Also I´ve been working on a script for awhile and it`s slowly turning out better but I have this other idea that`s easier to execute for the time being so I might do that instead

Filmaat ittes viiltelemässä metrossa alasti ittees ni hyvä tulee

Nykytaiteen tuntien jengi varmaan pitäis mua jonain nerona jos tekisin ton

Semmost se o.

Are you that autistic Taming of the Shrim faggot? Because if so the tip would be to stop immediately and do something else

Actually no I´ve not even heard of such thing. I´m actually this guy:

>capeshit
>over 1 star

Stick to your dayjob, we don't need another embryo shitting up the film industry

post fun space-stuff

...

pls no

its a good film uf ag

it`s a solid 3/5

I've thought about going through all of my followers and finding my favorites. The thing is though is that they all have different opinions and the more you look at someone's profile the less and less similar they will be to yours. Its hard to choose a favorite.

letterboxd.com/evolution_rex/

I like Neil Barararumddum and Sean McGillysomething and Mike Thorn im probably forgetting someone I sohuldn't but oh we

If you're going to make a movie, just don't do a 'its so bad and memey lol' kind of movie. Too many lbg users and other amateur reviewers do that and they always want to make spoof movies or something. Its cringy as fuck and no one will ever take yous seriously.

Just make something simple, short, and something that can be taken seriously as a movie. Even if it feels unintentionally cheesy, its ten times better than the self-aware shit. You'd actually be putting effort into it.

I unironically like Arielrocks5's reviews.

And although we don't follow each other, he/she often likes my reviews which is nice because I'm not a very popular user.

kill yourself

...

How do you guys go about rating/reviewing films you've watched before using Letterboxd? My short memory and autism won't let me log anything unless it's still fresh in my mind.

Anyway, here's me. Pls no bully.
letterboxd.com/Alex_Baratheon/

If its something I saw forever ago and don't recall anything about it, I'll only list it if its something I'll never care about watching again. If its something that I think deserves a rewatch, I pretend I've never seen it before and put it on my watchlist.

Leprechaun was good and fun when Warwick Davis was on screen but then really bad and boring whenever he was not

letterboxd.com/plebiann/ follow 4 follow family ;DDD

I want to thank the retard who exported the embryo meme to Sup Forums
you've set a healthy board on fire just like pleb/patrician did a few years back

What's the embryo meme? Is that something like newfag?

fucking lol

Nice. I'm gonna spread it to /lit/ and /fa/ next.

How do I stop rating things 3 1/2 stars?

>ratefags

I think the fact that most of the ratings I shared being the same demonstrates that I don't think about it that much.

literally me. I don't even like movies, really, I just want to assign numbers to things
